Yeah tbh I’ve heard nothing but good about Knack 2. It’s just a shame the original became such a memed piece of property to the point where as a franchise it was never going to recover.
Yeah that's something that'd be sick. It's a bit of a letdown that Knack's size was more affected by the game design choosing what size he needs to be for the gameplay. It would be cool if the player was in full control of that, but just different sized Knacks would be better suited for different sections.
I love the Knack games, especially Knack 2. The reasons for that are because they feel good to play, i like the way Knack himself looks, (mostly in his big forms) I like the concept of him being this relics golem, and I love the special powers he has. However I'm also agreeing with some of the things you said about it. Maybe the story could have been better. And it does not seem like something meant to show what a PS4 is capable of. But I still think they are great games.
From all accounts I think Knack 2 seems like a pretty good game. And yeah for me Knack 1 is a 5-6/10. It’s by no means terrible it’s just a bizarre choice to be the PS4’s showcase release. Good to hear you like it though and I will agree Knack himself does feel pretty good to control even if I don’t love what we actually get to do with him a lot.

Knack 1 is a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s just one of those “shut your brain off” kinda games. Knack 2 though is actually pretty good and underrated. It improved a lot on the gameplay and reminded me a lot of the original god of war games which is a huge plus. I would happily recommend it for anyone looking for an action game.

Knack is pretty much helping us forget about realistic real life charatcers being the main mascot of playstation. except for god of war. it's epic. anyways when i played knack. it is really good but i'd like a game that feels as close to ratchet and clank/sly cooper/scott pilgrim and many more cartoony characters! thanks to knack. i feel having much fun. wish that my bros would play 2 players instead of fortnite binge
Knack was one of the first real gaming experiences I ever had, and for that it will forever hold a special place in my heart. Seeing the intro cutscene and the boss fight again recently is so fucking nostalgic, it‘s insane!
I have fond memories of playing Knack with my big brother when I was probably about 9 years old, and I remember it being a generally mid game with some cool stand-out moments, and that it was decently fun while playing co-op. I'm glad to say I played and beat Knack, even if it's just for the fact that it was a rather memed on game that no one really played.
Yeah it does have some cool moments here and there, like the giant wooden on fire Knack bit that I included in the video is admittedly pretty sick. I am tempted to check our Knack 2 cos if it does improve on all the things that made the first game mid, it could actually be pretty good.

When I was younger my uncle had Knack on his ps4 and I would always watch him play it, now today I am playing Knack on his ps5 he brought over to my place while my mom and dad are in Spain. Also the complaint about the repetitive game play is true but as someone with ADHD and loves playing simulator games on Roblox i love it

Knack 2 though, I genuinely love it, Infact, I’ve been tryna 100% the game as of late, I like the way you can find more relics to turn into different knacks. I loved this series. The game had such a cool style, fun game play, and ,mechanic to grow into a huge monster by collecting all the bits and pieces was so cool. The design for the character was so well done. Idk it was so polarising

I can't even make this up chief both Knack games were peak for me they're not designed around being platformers and the hard difficulty being unfair makes up for a really nice challenge. The worst part about the 2nd game is actually the skill tree and all abilities not being unlocked with story progress but that's really just my opinion I love his design as well since he looks like a lion thingie and the fact he's made from small pieces and can morph into many shapes and sizes is something i love about his design. I'm really glad Sony tried to make something as original as him even if it didn't go down well because when you actually manage to control knack correctly he feels so smooth to control and we have the animations to thank for that

The first game was fun, I liked the challenging, kinda arcadey feeling gameplay. I haven't finished the second game yet, but it's really fun too. Both games feel really fun.
I played both Knack games and really liked them (especially the 2nd one), I played them again and became a fan of the series. And when I saw the amount of hate it received I was really shocked. I admit that the series has a lot of negative aspects (especially the 1st one) but I don't think it deserved the hate it received. Knack has some very interesting concepts, especially in its story, like Knack himself, the lore about the crystal war, the situation of the goblins in the wastelands, the monks, etc. I think that apart from the gameplay of the first game, the mistake was the contradictions of the characters and how they executed the story. An example of this is the main antagonist of the series, Gundahar, I love that he’s not just a cliché villain who just hates humanity for the sake of it, but has motivations that are not related to the protagonist (in this case Knack), he wants to save his people who have been suffering for decades from a war they had no part in (it’s seen in the games that the ones who participated in the war were the high goblins, not the goblins from the first game). Gundahar and the other tribes have lived for years in misery and poverty, and no one has done anything about it, and when he met Charlotte she finally gave him an option to improve the situation for his species (this without attacking humans). The conflict in Knack 1 was the fault of another external tribe, so at least at the beginning Gundahar and his tribe didn’t attack humanity for no reason. He is an antagonist who does no harm because he enjoys it, because he only seeks the best for his people, but then in other scenes they contradict themselves by making him act like a cartoon villain, having evil laughs and villain phrases that contradict what was previously said. Personally I think that the developers did not know which specific direction to take, so they executed many mixed ideas that ended up ruining many concepts of the saga. I have more things to say, but the text is already TOO long, sorry for that. If anyone read this mini analysis, thank you very much in advance. Have a nice day ♡
Yeah there’s a lotta love for Knack but unfortunately when something gets memed on that’ll always outweigh the affection it has also earned. Personally I don’t love Knack but I also appreciate him for the kinda funny, decent enough game IP that he is.

Knack is 1 not that bad, In fact I’d even say it’s good, not great but good, and 2 it’s a excellent idea with immense potential while it does fall short in many ways having a character grow and get stronger as the level goes on by collecting pieces as well as implementing different kind of pieces, wood, metal, ice , crystal and the huge pieces, which each having some sort of effects is conceptually very cool, the idea of combining diferente pieces like ice+metal to make very unique builds each with their own strengths and weaknesses is pretty cool and I’ll die on this hill as well as the fact that I’ve scaled down a bit in scope and with more focus on the combat rather then plat forming knack double be a genuine 8-9 out of 10.
I think my main issue with the whole growing side of things is that yes, Knack does change in size throughout the levels, but it’s not really up to the player. It’s more just the game deciding when to change his size to fit the next bit of level design. It would’ve been way cooler if the player actually got to manage his size and choose depending on situations.
@@w00faYT for sure, i think the problem is different gameplay with different sizes, when you get really big you do more climbing them jumping and when you’re small you do no climbing so the games forced you to be a certain size for certain levels, like when you would take damage at levels where your meant to be big you wouldn’t get smaller you would jest get less dense with the same volume then die, but i think having a hardcore management system might not be good for a family game, like new resident evil games im pretty sure fugde number to help you, so if you’re on your last bullet against a boss and the boss has more health then the bullet will do damage the game multiplies the damage of the last bullet by a lot so you don’t get a unsaveble run, but old resident evil games you could get softlocked out of progress if you didn’t manage properly.

I would probably like to see what you think about FNAF. I both extremely hate and slightly like FNAF at the same time. I would never play them because I can already see the actual gameplay sucks. I can barely even endure watching any gameplay from them. But the hidden lore, characters, and story as explained by UA-camrs are pretty good. And I really enjoyed the movie.

Didn't know people had made fun of this so much. The couple of people I've seen play this seemed to enjoy it and I certaintly thought it was pretty fun. Was it the best story or characters, or hell even best gameplay? No. But I just love these games so much. Maybe it was just the simple premice of the character being able to grow and shrink because of these specific resources and you can lose them if you get hit.
Yeah idk how much it differs culturally/generationally, but I can testify that in Australia, as someone who was a teenager for the release of the PS4/XB1 generation, Knack is still a bit of a joke. We have a laugh when he's brought up.

Knack is such a size power trip. Knack 2 is one of the best couch co-op games on the market. It’s good fun to play with your sibling. Knack 2 improved so much from the first. Wish the gigantic Knack stayed but given the improvements it’s worth it. I would be more excited for Knack 3 than Ass ass in’s Creed 85

Didn't know people had made fun of this so much. The couple of people I've seen play this seemed to enjoy it and I certaintly thought it was pretty fun. Was it the best story or characters, or hell even best gameplay? No. But I just love these games so much.
Maybe it was just the simple premice of the character being able to grow and shrink because of these specific resources and you can lose them if you get hit.
Yeah idk how much it differs culturally/generationally, but I can testify that in Australia, as someone who was a teenager for the release of the PS4/XB1 generation, Knack is still a bit of a joke. We have a laugh when he's brought up.
@@w00faYT Well my lack of knowledge on that might be just from the fact that when the game came out I was WAY less conected to the general like hive mind of the internet because of some problems I've had at the time. Honestly I only got into the game like 4-5 years after the first one.

Knack is such a size power trip. Knack 2 is one of the best couch co-op games on the market. It’s good fun to play with your sibling. Knack 2 improved so much from the first. Wish the gigantic Knack stayed but given the improvements it’s worth it. I would be more excited for Knack 3 than Ass ass in’s Creed 85

I love both knack games from when I was very young I played knack and got hooked. Knack 2 was also amazing because of its new mechanics.
I found first Knack very mediocre but have heard so much praise for Knack II: The Knackening

I’m glad there’s people like you sticking up for Knack. While I’ve only played the first one and it was kinda just average (a solid 5.5/10), I appreciate the general goofiness of Knack as an idea. Also there is so much praise for Knack 2 in this comments section so I do believe it must be pretty good.

Yeah I’ve heard a lot of praise for Knack II. Still only played the first one but the second one continues to be recommended.
Knack is a very good game in my opinion the fighting gets a bit boring but the story of the Game is just great
The story didn’t do a whole lot for me but it is the narrative game that I played directly in between RDR2 and GTAV so like, idk if it was given much of a fair chance.
