i dont even hear Joker on the release, love the old dubstep drums on this one, the released version sounds like what a 12 year old made on a friday night
What is it with skrillex and butchering his songs on release? The intro on this version is so sinister and melodic. It’s a bittersweet intro and I absolutely love it. The drop has an edge on the demo that the release version doesn’t have.
The release version is a lot more solid as far as arrangement goes. Four Tet has been giving skrillex a lot of input for arranging demos and ideas. Yeah, this demo has cool parts, but the release version has a much smoother flow between sections. It's hard to tell with the recording, but that dark string sound throughout the intro seems to negatively affect the rimshots and other percussions at times, which would explain why they removed it and used the melody for other elements.
@@alti_gottemi dont even hear joker in the release, it sounded like a 12 year old playing around fl, the drop sounded cringe the melodics just aint it, at least this demo had some essense on it, now we know it came from an og dubstep beat probably only 5% skrillex it just hits different, skill just nerfs releases, especially good space everything sounded toyish on the release
Am I crazy or is that just the drum loop from Kliptown Empyrean? If so, I have to imagine he was just using it as a placeholder and always intended to change the drums.
The second drop is so dope, the released version is overall better and fits the vibe of the album better IMO.
ahhhh this version thoooo 🙈 kinda prefer it
2:52 Lmao, that sound was just him smashing the shit out of his keyboard the whole time?
What?
@@jasaura8521 these "hi hats" at the end, pretty sure it's just him smashing a bunch of keys on his keyboard, that's what it sounds like at least
@@the_blocktopus Yeah, it really sounds like it’s him playing with it, it gives the touch tho
@@jasaura8521 100% i always wondered how he made that ending part sound so clean, and now i know lmao

I like the piano chords in this! they are too obscure in the release.
People who think this is better than the release are drunk. The first drop in the official release solos this alone.
Agreed
I highly disagree
@@TheOliversperrin get a new pair of ears
This is def a cool version but yeah, the official release is much better

Wasabi became Tears?😳
Yes
"wasabi" ended up being tears?
Nah
yes, he took some inspiration from it. You can notice it through the same beat sound
Actually yes I think
for sure
same drums, same vibe, probably yes
