That statement is an oxymoron. If Scotland becomes part of the EU it is not independent it does not make its own Laws and cannot vote out the people who do. Also if Scotland wants to rejoin the EU after Brexit it does not automatically have the right to rejoin. The EU may very well say no because Scotland outside the UK does not not meet the criteria of EU membership and would be a net beneficiary to the EU.

I would say Scotland might be right in leaving UK. I mean if we are talking about Scotland’s independence we should see the pros and cons for Scotland. And i see it’s mostly a win-win situation for Scotland. The separation certainly would hit UK hard but we are talking about Scotland right now. And the majority now might be in favour of independence as there was only a 5% difference earlier.
