I found their concerts to be the same, its so theatric and there are little scenes played out in between songs, it makes it feel like there is a story being told with music as a soundtrack. Definitely worth seeing live, preferably indoors, saw them on a big outdoor stage supporting Metallica few years back, still good but much preferred the indoor sets and lights and everything.

I was in the first show in 1969. The crowd went out of control and several hundred people lost their lives. Thankfully their souls have been allowed to follow the band ever since. Ghost lives.

It IS impressive and is only really evident if you watch Tobias’ head and body movements carefully which show the “disconnect” between head/mask and body - a certain stiffness of movement. They continue to innovate and evolve and Tobias Forge’s ability to CONNECT with an audience on a visceral level is amazing!
I never really appreciated how much effort they put into the evolution. I guess because I am used to bands re-inventing themselves with every album and zero explanation. Papa the 3rd was my favorite. I loved his humor, his sense of honor and dignity, coupled with the casual but very professional looking style and the eye was iconic. However, Cardinal did impress me with his dance.
I live in southeast louisiana, I doubt you would pronounce the names correctly without knowing in advance. It is a popular gag in the states to have people pronounce the family names of my people.

Con clavi Con dio, not ritual, is the first song a Papa plays upon his joining the band. Papa Nihil did not "disappear" in Mexico City. He collapsed and expired from being too awesome for too long.
Well this and some other things have basically caught me up on the whole thing. Definitely need to do more researching as I'm not used to a band with a whole story set to it, but this has been super helpful! I got into Ghost rather late, so I'm looking forward to more!

Just became a fan around 2019, and catching up on all this is hard; I missed so much! I had been planning to listen to them earlier, but hadn't gotten around to it and now I'm sad I didn't earlier. Wish I could have gone to a Papa III show; seemed like a lot of fun! I for sure plan on going next time they're in Utah (lol, trigger the Mormons)!
Saw them in Grand Rapids, MI last month. Was my first time despite having listened to them for years. Sometimes it's just hard to fit concerts in you know. It was totally worth it. My wife was there with me, mostly for Volbeat, and she is a total convert now!

You’re close but here’s some errors I found; It’s not Papa “Zero” it’s Papa Nihil. It’s not sister impersonator it’s sister imperator. Papa Emeritus first song on the night of his confirmation wasnt ritual it was Con Clavi Con Dio. And the current story is that there is suspicion that Sister Imperator is Papa Emeritus IV mother. But still this was fun to watch 😊 Nicely done

If the music playing in the background is any clue, Papa IV's first song was NOT "Ritual" but was "Per espera ad inferi" . But, maybe the song playing in this video has nothing to do with what his first song had been. The song that is a Rolling Stones song, sympathy for the devil is okay, but I hope it's not on the new Cd by Ghost, I hope for some NEW stuff and not any copies of other bands stuff. I just really hope that the newest Cd really rocks and isn't a few kinda rockin songs and then some really disappointing slow ones like "Avalanche" had been on "Prequel" and also one of the "extra" songs on "Prequel" "Its a sin", but, it WAS an extra song. Prequel was good, but, when you compare it to the older Ghost songs, it lacked that hard driving sound the ones before it definitely had.

If the music playing in the background is any clue, Papa IV's first song was NOT "Ritual" but was "Per espera ad inferi" . But, maybe the song playing in this video has nothing to do with what his first song had been. The song that is a Rolling Stones song, sympathy for the devil is okay, but I hope it's not on the new Cd by Ghost, I hope for some NEW stuff and not any copies of other bands stuff.
I just really hope that the newest Cd really rocks and isn't a few kinda rockin songs and then some really disappointing slow ones like "Avalanche" had been on "Prequel" and also one of the "extra" songs on "Prequel" "Its a sin", but, it WAS an extra song. Prequel was good, but, when you compare it to the older Ghost songs, it lacked that hard driving sound the ones before it definitely had.
I haven't the slightest clue whats going on but I watched all of it.

I only been listening to Ghost since last year, I found them on Spotify. I read some say they love Papa this and Papa that.. Sorry I just love there music, no idea whose singing.. This new Album I wasn't sure about until listening to it awhile now i love it just like the rest..
