so I got an email back from EDD about my backdate saying "Thank you for your inquiry. The request to backdate your claim effective date has been submitted. You will receive an amended DE429A by mail. Continue to certify for benefits while the request is in process. If the backdating results in a valid or increased award, an adjustment will be issued." Does that mean its approved
I has the same error. The Representative had made that reason. I filed an appeal

I got the same notice in February just weeks after they sent me an approval letter. It makes no sense but I have not changed my status or done anything wrong! I’m hearing many people are getting the same notices. My fear is they will try to make me repay all the PUA benefits! This is very bad. The reason I was given for suddenly being “disqualified” is that I’m eligible for regular unemployment benefits. There’s too much confusion and if I do file my appeal, who knows how long before they fix the error and I get paid?? Thanks for the video update.

What if they did not mark an X where it says: THIS DETERMINATION DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR CLAIM FOR EXTENDED BENEFITS. Should I be worried? I have been unemployed and getting unemployment aid since 3/22/20

like a couple of months. long time. I have client that her status has not changed at all, and call was back in November.
I turned in my appeal on the 29th and havent heard from them yet should I be concerned by the way I got the disqualified letter mail dated december 1st so I sent it in right before deadline plus the disqualified letter even says I had 60days to appeal
me too, around that time. I got a letter about a week ago. stating to wait for another appeal date. ( Have a video with update regarding it). If you have not received anything yet, mail your appeal again or try calling EDD.
@VK Consulting LLC /Viktoriya Khusit, i verify my identity and sent my documents thru docusign on December 28, 2020. after almost a month, they disqualified me. i received a letter with an appeal form stating that the documents i submitted were not the ones that are acceptable. There's also a statement that "See noticed of overpayment attached" but i didn't receive any attachment about the overpayment. i was about to send my appeal, what should i do? should i call them first and clarify what was that or just ignore and send my appeal? thank you for your response in advance.
absolutely, if you are able to reach someone, call the. if not, do not wait- mail in your appeal. Its all takes forever.
@@vkhusit my state id is the only valid photo id that i have right now, will it be okay if i submit that again stating that it is my only valid id as of right now?

My son got the same thing that he was disqualified for id verification but he did send and it accepted it been trying to get a hold of them but nothing.🙄
I made my appeal over 1 month ago and have yet to hear anything from EDD. My original claim wasn't for covid. But now with this PUA they disqualified me due to non covid claim. So I had it appealed cuz now it is due to covid. So I haven't heard anything. All my UI online says Appeal. No letters or anything. It's been almost a month and a half
And now it won't let me certify at all. It's not even a option. On UI online. That's was over a month ago.

I certified for weeks ending 3/13 and 3/20 yesterday and now it reads disqualification but they updated my claim for a new 12 month period and increased my balance. Do you have any idea why this would be?

After i send my info for the 2nd part to my appeal...you know how long it typically takes for them to unlock ur account?

I Push the reopen claim button. Thereafter, they schedule an interview then at the end of it said i was disqualified. wow. The button was a trap.
The interviewer said im disqualified because i used the option ive been deemed at risk by health authority and advised to self isolate. She tried saying i am unavailable and unable to work. I clearly told the girl I am physically able to work and can work at anytime but im out of work at no fault of my own. She then said you only can be eligible if i caught covid or looking after a small child. I ask her to re-check the requirements and she told i can do that on my own time. She would not address my option that is listed as a requirement. Now i don't know what to do
file an appeal. yes, that option that you chose will disqualify you from the unemployment. file an appeal saying you did not understand, and what was a real reason you are unemployed.
I was getting money for months then 11/22 I got income verification link which I couldn't provide an they disqualified me for 4 weeks so far. I have no received anything in the mail, I have not gotten a suspension notice, and on my claim it still says my claim is good until 4/1/2021.what could it be?
EDD said that if you will not provide income verification, there is a chance that they will suspend payment and you will have to pay money back, as it is possibly a fraud. I would try calling EDD to follow up on what to do

I Opened A New Claim On January 2021. Funds Were Pending Until February 22 Due To ID Verification. Talked To EDD prior To That Date And Issue Was Resolved. 1 Week Later After Being Paid. All my Weeks In "Paid" Moved To "Disqualified" Without A Notice. Certified For Last Two Weeks Yesterday And Few Hours Later Was Disqualified. Has Anyone Dealt With The Same Issue?

I had sent in an appeal both mail and through fax. I haven’t received a call or anything in my UI inbox. Nothing has happened for about 2-3 weeks. I haven’t been able to work since I’ve left the military in 5/14/2020

try calling EDD. I received an acknowledgment from EDD by mail. I did mailed same appeal letter twice.
My friend is disqualified because her id verification documents didn't meet the requirements
She sent her driver's license and birth certificate
So she appealed sending the same documents and her Bank statement

EDD probably needs her social security number. Did she get an email to her UI online with ID.ME link- now EDD verify identity via this company. I will be uploading video about this experience later this week.

The same thing happened to me in Dec.I finally just got it resolved this week by finally getting a hold of someone in the identity verification line. It’s a 408 or 480 prefix #, and you can actually get through to a live person right away but it’s only for identity verification issues. She was able to put the “upload document” button back on my home page so I could resubmit the documents. I resubmitted the same photo of my drivers license, and a a bill and a added some extra documents just incase and this time they were accepted. I think because they made it mobile friendly now!

I am really not sure. But probably you are W2, so EDD recived reports in regards to your salary and cancel??? This is just a guess.

Help, I am unable to find an answer to my situation. I had to appeal PUA. I have been waiting approximately 2 months Even though my last payment from EDD was September 27th. Does this mean that the $300 boost which I need badly, will be held back or will I receive that even though I am waiting for my appeal date?
Everyone's understanding about the $300 is that it is
a Federal boost & it doesn't come with a Covid related question like PUA. I did receive LWA $300, even though I have been waiting for my Appeal process.
Have you received a letter from EDD stating they received your appeal form and scheduled an appeal appointment ? If you did not, call them or send a letter again.
$300 will come with unemployment payments, so if you don’t receive payments , you will not receive boost

you can mail in any envelop, as long as you mail it to the right address

address is no the first form/letter in your envelop. apperantly there are different addresses, depending on where you live
Hey I got a question my friend was getting pua but she check her portal and it said overpayment and she did a appeal but she still have 1200 left (1) do she have to repay the overpayment back or she can write a letter saying no fought if her one (2) she can't work cause she have two disable children and it just her and also she did work this year.(3)now she unemployment she need help .(4(can she still receive her benefit that she have left.(5) how long it take after she file for the appeal in montgomery alabama
If she got overpayment- and she thinks that something is wrong- she absolutely should file an appeal. No she will not get unemployment just based on the fact that she needs help, i am not sure how long it takes for the appeal. Good luck

Employer account number is the state ID for the employer. your W2 has this number box 15
How did they response to you? My aunt has the same problems. She reported her last employment is 2018 but they take it as the date she was affected by covid-19.

I wrote: i made a simple typo mistake. Last day work was 3-06/2020, not 2019. I will have a tax return to back this day up.

@@haho8930 it depends, if edd realizes that they made a mistake, they will schedule an appointment. If they think they sufficient evidence to disqualify you then it may go to court.
Edd has been fuckin me up since i reported that BOA stole my money my BOA has been closed since and edd had me verify my identity and everything and still no fuckin payment! I even mailed them all my infomation to verify and i still got disqualified on my certification weeks! I received an appeal form yesterday and I’m about to drop it off to the blue box but I swear if i dont get no answer and they decide to stop paying me just watch edd!
My husband recieved a notice of determination yesterday but he stopped his benefits last year because he went back to full time work. Anyone knows what does this mean? Any advice on what to do?
you need to read what notice really says, that he is not eligible anymore or fro the day one. It should be any more, since he is geting paid and his wages are being reported to EDD, but he might still have an unused awarded unemployment amount.

You are so smart I love you for sharing. I’m having an issue with my Edd, I am a victim of fraud . I just got a letter of determination from Edd, it says I’m disqualified because I failed to prove my identity even though I uploaded all my documents in they assured me through the phone everything looked ok. So ,

check your inbox in UI Online- do you need to verify your identity? Otherwise, just wait for the letter. it took almost 1 month to receive it

1st interview was useless. EDD representative never told me what was the reason for the call. however, he did asked when was last work date in 2019. I said -worked thg December 2019. after that- pending went into disqualification and appeal form was mailed in. Have not talked to anyone since the appeal letter.

Try calling them. Somehow you need to get a hold of the representative, so they can help you in what to do next.

Employer account is when you work for an employer- you can find this number on your W2 box 15. if you are self-employed- you would not have this account number
