You are one of the few on UA-cam who is really professional, i can see what you do, not just review cameras without professional work, all the rest are just testers...comparing old cameras with new one, and trying to sell us, subscribers cameras that are with big flaws, like zv-e1
This is one of the best, most informative UA-cam videos I’ve seen on just about any topic. It’s like a masterclass in under 10 minutes. Thanks for this.
This is gold. After watching the full commercial I can see how well this all comes together. Your channel is defiantly my new favorite. As a native English speaker learning German, I would love to see some of your videos in German as well. So good. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Great breakdown, thanks so much for sharing this. It's super helpful and you can learn from it a lot. The final ad is amazing. The vibe is so friendly and light, absolutely perfect for beauty treatments! The client/testimonial is the best pick ever for this. With her experience in front of the camera this was probably a walk in the park for her. She just vibrates being comfortable that that's so important for that service. I'm in awe!
I would love to see a video about white balance in a professional way that explains every little detail in every location and how can we set a custom WB in even hard conditions Thanks for the great work 💙👏🏻
Another great one. I'm envious of your ability to get great looks from simple setups. That's experience, I guess. I noticed you shot beneath the eyeline. Was that so you could include more of the overhead lights in your background?
@damiencooper I love this video! I currently have a elgato key light for my home videos. Do you think I could use that as wel for an interview like this? Or how much lumen I should be looking for?
Technisch schaut es aus wie der Flug zu Mars ;D (für mich) aber eine tolle Erklärung. Ich werde das selbe Interview mit mir selbst mit lowtech umsetzen.. bin gespannt. 🔥💻
Watching the interview video itself, I notice that the talent is wearing the same outfit both in the interview and in the clinic with the client. Did you shoot all of that in the same day, or request that she wear the same outfit on multiple days? Great video - thanks!
Only thing about this I don't like is the camera angle where it almost feels like an upskirt the whole time. Usually I would crop in a bit to avoid that.
Just curious, how did you deal with random people in background? Did you have to notify them? Also interested to know how you went about getting permission to film in a location like this cafe :)
I can only see the girl in the background you did an amazing job with the lighting but I would have sacrificed a little bit of Framing and turn the camera a little bit to the left so that that person wouldn't be in frame
I let the light in the room to determine if I can get away with just one light. Sometimes you can let natural and ambient lights work for you. However, I was raised to never shoot women from below. A lot of older women don't want to expose their chin or chins...LOL
What do you think? Was one light enough?
Yeah... it looks natural and not lit.
Definitely in this case Damien, it looks great.
Hey, sometimes that is all you have and you just go with it.
Yes it looks great!
Absolutely. This looks soo good and natural. Love it!
The tip that you shared about exposing for the background light before adding any other lights is extremely helpful and makes so much sense!
Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing - great tip!

The location was amazing for the interview. I think it made using only one light quite an easy choice. Awesome tutorial.
Love this! Love the simplicity of your grade!
Tolle Arbeit Damien, macht Spaß deinen Content zu sehen. Grüße!
Love these breakdowns man! Gorgeous look for just one light.
That footage look awesome. Love this work.
Another awesome tutorial. Thank you!
Very nice. Looks great! Cheers, Chuck (North East Florida - USA)
Any chance your lut pack for Sony supports S-Log3? Interview lighting came out looking great! Thanks for the upload!

thanks a lot. I love shooting from below the eyeline. It's a personal preference and makes the subject look more confident and competent.
Very nice work!
Looks fantastic!
@damiencooper I love your videos and your work man. You are also super clear with your explanations and direction. Subbed. (Danke!)
@damiencooper I love this video! I currently have a elgato key light for my home videos. Do you think I could use that as wel for an interview like this? Or how much lumen I should be looking for?
Great! 👍
But why not just using FCP‘s „sync multicam clips via audio“-function in post?
Really unreliable when the cameras audio habt great. And then it’s a pain to sync
Great breakdown! I’d go with amaran f22x or c for a new flex light. Build quality is solid, with good output especially for the price
I prefer the Intellytech series tbh. The're bigger, more models and they have better modifiers too. And they're stronger :D
Always learning a lot
🔥🔥🔥 as always!
Hi brother, what monitor did you use?
Looks great! Was there a conscious decision to not just mask the girl at the table out in post?

Thanks for the Tutorial! Very helpful
Which aperture would u recommend for that kind of interview? F4?
Thank u! best regards from salzburg
I always shoot wide open 🙈 I want as much background separation as possible. Shooting that wide on a s35 theres still enough in focus areas
Watching the interview video itself, I notice that the talent is wearing the same outfit both in the interview and in the clinic with the client. Did you shoot all of that in the same day, or request that she wear the same outfit on multiple days? Great video - thanks!
all shot in one day
Lovely breakdown Damien. Question, why was the A cam slightly, lower than eye sight? Very interesting
Makes the character more trustworthy as they’re looking larger than life opposed to looking down on someone
Hi, thank you for the video. Just FYI, there's nothing in your merch store. God bless
Great Looking interview Damien - question: do you always shoot in 4K for an interview on the C70?
Always. I’ve never shot 1080 on the C70
@@damiencooper Thanks Damian - and yes, one light seems enough!
Only thing about this I don't like is the camera angle where it almost feels like an upskirt the whole time. Usually I would crop in a bit to avoid that.
The A cam was positioned too low. The differences in tripod height makes that setup wonky
Just curious, how did you deal with random people in background? Did you have to notify them? Also interested to know how you went about getting permission to film in a location like this cafe :)
thank you for sharing!!
I’ve been using one key light on interviews a lot.
Good to hear 😉
Dope breakdown! Love simple set ups
Thanks. I love both. But either hella simple or way too complicated 😂
@@damiencooper lol seems about right
Nice break down.
Thank you 🙏🏼
I can only see the girl in the background you did an amazing job with the lighting but I would have sacrificed a little bit of Framing and turn the camera a little bit to the left so that that person wouldn't be in frame
thank you bro
What happened to the C70?
This was shot before the C70 even came out
why not raw on the R5 ?
Way too big. Wouldn’t be filming raw on the C300III anymore either
Yes, keep it simple ;)

Haha, I know. Good thing she didn’t have an issue with it
✌...
✌
Maybe it's just my OCD
In German hell means blonde :D
I love your videos but you gotta drink some water while filming. That saliva tongue click is driving us crazy ... in a bad way
Noted 😅
The recording of your voice is too close, too warm, too intimate. It's like you are standing in my personal space. I don't want to listen.
