When your a Aps-c Sony user, The Sony 55-210 is best when your starting out. And the Sony 70-350 is the upgrade for the Sony aps-c user. The 55-210 even tho not as sharp still takes some amazing photos. And awesome video
My 70-350 should arrive tomorrow! Was £549 new from Sony UK saving £280 off usual Sony price of £829! Amazon was offering at the lower price for new trial Prime customers but offer only lasted 5-6 days!
@@ArronPrescottwould a 55-250 Canon lens with an adapter be much better? Or some sort of 300-600mm lens if it exists, also what about super zoom sony and Lumix cameras? Thx! I have a zv-e10 and need telephoto for surf videography but worried about the distance and sharpness! As well as stability
The extra zoom is definitely a nice to have. Clarity on the edges are also pretty very good. But considering the price, unless you're really serious about your photos, the 50-210 is a heck of a purchase, especially if you find it used.
What is your opinion about the ability of good software (e.g., InPixeo or Topaz) to minimize the quality difference between the images from these two lenses, all other things being equal?
Of course, I am going to use the Sony FF 70-200 f4 zoom lens with internal zooming. At least with an aps-c camera, I get a max zoom of 300mm. Not bad. No need to spend on another zoom.
hi , let me help if you on u budget you can try sigma 18-50 f2.8 or tamron 17-70 if you can afford it for extra reach and stabilization its easy choice for everyday carry if you prefer prime lens , i suggest sigma prime trio , but all come back to what you need hope it helps!

I wanted the -350 but it cost about 4x the 210
keep the sample videos on same side of screen. makes the review more confusing when the 350 is on one side and then flips to other side on next sample

I have ordered both lenses, so I am excited how they work on my Sony a5100 camera.

@@Sonic-Boom sorry for being so late. The websites were Sony UK and Amazon UK but the deal only lasted for 5 days...
@@ofiaich666 No problem. I actually picked up a 70-350 a week or so ago from Amazon for £549. Very pleased with it.
Thank you so much🎉
Amazing comparison Arron! Great video
Got the 70-350 for 600. A banger
Nice, its a great lens!
Very nice presentation. Thanks for uploading ❤
I bought the 55-210mm because of the budget but I am no so happy about the result so far, I will definitely buy a new lens.
The 55-210 definitely has it's limitations Especially it's lack of sharpness and poor lowlight performance. Still, it's pretty good for it's price

I only use it for day time shots... Double out the shutter speed and keep it at f9. It's definitely a sharp lens in that f stop range (8-11)
Which camera u r using?
Nice review Arron. I am about to purchase the 350, for my ZV-E10. I am very excited about the images I'll be able to capture 🙏

Great comparison. I want to upgrade from my kit lens. I only wish there wasn't such a hefty price difference.
I have both lenses 55-210 in black and silver also one G lens 70-350 so they very needful things for me!

I have the Zv e10, do you recommend the 55-210 for a vacation trip??
yes
The 55210 isn't bad, but comparing it to the 70350 is like comparing disadvantages to advantages.
Got my 1st camera the Sony a6500 with kit lens. Am looking for a all rounder lens can u help plz
