    A few comments I would like to add. I first clean the motor on the outside so all that dust and dirt does not fall into the motor once I take it apart. I also use bearing glue between the bearing and the motor cover to avoid bearing knocking in the future. Then I use silicone between the rim and motor cover once I assemble it again, to make it water proof.

      Great tips. the motor was provided to me in its state with the motor covers already removed and shipped as so. this motor won't be going into any wheel - was just used to make an instructional video.
      with the Sherman S - the fit between axle and bearing is pretty tight - haven't seen the bearing knock issue. that issue only happened predominantly on the s22.

      @@2cells1pack A friend had bearing knocking on an Abrams, I glued new bearings in, knocking gone. I had it develop on my T4 after a few weeks of riding, so I glued them in also, no knocking now.

      @@2cells1pack The knocking itself is usually between the cover and the bearing, not the bearing and the axle, it seems.

    to prevent water from getting into the bearings and they worked for a very long time, you need to insert the tube inside the motor and output it to the controller compartment to equalize the pressure inside the motor. I've been making videos about it..
    as for the bearing, according to the rules, it should fit tightly into the engine cover and not vice versa. these methods are described in the technical documentation for the installation of bearings in various units

      The rule to fit tightly into engine cover fit more for Kingson, as for Veteran, bearings always tighter on the axle

    Pure Gold, this video is top tier as usual! Thank you Albert! What would we do without your amazing instructional videos , and the fun ones also ofc!
    Invaluable content!

    Seems SS bearing replacement is much easer as Patton. That beast made for ages, definetly bearings sitting much tighter. And please, do not forget to put additional grease to motor cover before put the bearings in

    Very nice video, just one remark, isn't it a good idea to clean the outside of the motor first? To not risk getting any small dirt or debris in the motor.

    Again, looks like buying a new motor is the best way to swap out the bearing.

      new motor will have the same shitty bearings and no greese as all chinese wheels from factory. Definetly recommed use marine shaft grease for that, it will last for ages, as you definetly dont wanna to do this jobs again :)

    Why cant they put good bearings in from the beginning. A lot of bs for the users.

      Bearings are sensitive to water. This applies to all bearings. There are prevention methods, but none are 100%

      @@2cells1pack SKF Explorer bearings are pretty ruggid and better protected out of the box, but of course very expensive

    • @milordas
      @milordas 5 місяців тому

      @@RonnieRides expensive.. not much, only ~25 eur/piece. Definetly recommend normal (CN), not C3, wich will preferable for high rpm motors
