  • They develop their mind, their fortitude. They chisel it, they take it like you take a sword and put it into molten lead, to forge it into that sword so that it will stand up, so it wont break in combat. That's what they do to make themselves that person, ready to die, for that moment they get themselves there. How else could you perform that way, how else could you leave everything outside the door that you have to leave outside the door. You got to leave stuff outside the door, human stuff, to go in there ready to deal with what these guys deal with. You got to leave it outside the door, if you think about living you won't be able to do it.

And this is why I consider Floyd Mayweather Jr. the greatest boxer in the history of the sport. Floyd DOES NOT take damage. He's smart not to get drawn into brawls, where he's standing in the pocket trading heavy blows with people. This is why when Floyd is 70-years of age, his mind will be sharp, his body will still be healthy, and his speech will still be normal. And unlike other fighters, Floyd DOES NOT let promoters or managers control him. He calls the shots. This is the reason I call Floyd the greatest boxer in history - he's made TONS of money, he never takes physical damage, and he doesn't let promoters control him. Absolutely the smartest boxer in history, hands down.
While Floyd is the best boxer in history. I call Manny Pacquiao "bigger than boxing". Manny's greatness goes way, way beyond boxing. He came from poverty, he's worked to become a multi-millionaire, he's loved by his people, and his greatest desire is to help poor people in the Philippines. His legacy goes way beyond the squared circle.

Brother i agree hes smart and he has disipline ive heard stories that others spoke of him for example in a picture he would hold a champagne glass but it had juice and the. He would jog home from. It was all buisness to him. But in my opinion what i took from this is the tyson era hollyfield and even as back as Ali. They were prepared to suffer pain and enflict pain. floyd did not take some fights with fighters in thier prime, im not saying he ran away from all of them im just saying a few he stood away till later on. Older boxers tend to not like him also and while i still hold Floyd as smart and disipline i dont personally think he would have choosen a opponent that could potentially beat him and go blow for blow to literally die in the ring not care about old age or what will happen. In that moment to leave it all on that ring no points just ima knock you out. My opinion ofcourse i hope you are not like the other floyd fanboys and start cursing at me

@@edissonquituisaca3452 Floyd has immense skills, so he DOES NOT need to go blow for blow in the ring like how Arturo Gatti or Mickey Ward did. It would be utterly dumb for someone who has Floyd's skills to go toe-to-toe. That's as dumb as a wrestler insisting on boxing with a boxer instead of just shooting in on him and slamming him into the ground. WHY do something when you can win in an easier way? Also, Floyd fought many fighters in their prime, and he beat them all. Diego Corrales was the best fighter in the world when Floyd demolished him. Canelo Alvarez, Marcos Maidana, Genaro Hernandez, Zab Judah, Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez, and many more.

@@YVL111 Diego Corrales was no handpicked fight, my friend. Corrales and Floyd were considered the two best fighters in the world at that time, and Floyd just tore him up. Ricky Hatton was also considered one of the best fighters in the world when Floyd faced him. Hatton was world champion, and he was undefeated. Floyd just schooled him. Canelo Alvarez was a 23-year-old world champion who had already defended his title 6 times when he faced an way past his prime Floyd, who was already 36-years of age. Floyd just schooled Canelo. It wasn't even close. No hugging or running. In fact, it was FLOYD WHO CONTROLLED THE CENTER OF THE RING, and REPEATEDLY backed Canelo into the ropes! 🤣
There is no one that even comes CLOSE to Floyd's skills.
