Aine, you did a wonderful job with your research and knowledge regarding Caitriona's career, loved your questions and enjoyed hearing Caitriona's responses. Such a lovely interview with Caitriona. She is a beautiful light in this time. I can’t help but smile every time I see her and hear her talk she is a remarkable women. Thank you for sharing . I missed this interview had the wrong time blocked to watch. ❤️
Congratulations on an excellent interview, to both of you ~ the interviewer and responder ! You both contributed so much of value to your audience with your questions & responses! So insightful & enlightening for your viewers! Well done! Thank you for all the effort & positive energy between you that illuminates this interview and educated viewers on so many aspects of theatrical opportunities & production from script to viewing! Thanks to you we all know much more!
I love how Aine didn't miss to quote aunt Sarah and her beauty salon tragedy. I know a true derry girls fan when I see one. Cait was eloquent and beautiful as always!
Would be nice if interviewer let Caitriona tell her story, talk about Belfast, about her experiences, rather than herself using all of that as intro to a question.
I wish that the interviewer could have asked the question and then let CB answer! Such long rambling repetitive questions. Frankly, we don’t want to hear Aine but we are there for CB. It did get better after about a third of the way along…
I like her very much. But I was a little defensive for Sam when she mentioned him last when she listed the names of outstanding actors on Outlander, starting with Tobias. Sam was almost an afterthought. A little strange seeing as he is her costar. I wonder if she inwardly thinks she has outgrown him in her acting abilities. She has accolades all over the place now. I think Sam matches her scene for scene. And he certainly matched Tobias in the rape/torture scene. But her perspective would be completely different. She see from the inside not the outside like we do. Anyway, that bothered me.
I'm new to Outlander, having binged the first three series and planning a gradual catch up from here on in. Purely in terms of acting quality she (and several others) are well above Sam's level. Don't get me wrong, he's fantastically cast but he is far less nuanced than many other actors. Caitriona's performances as a 1940's nurse, later 1940's wife, 1740s? wife in Paris etc. etc. are very impressive. As she says in one of her online interviews - he does have one stock look - aka confused Joey from Friends.
SH Is more focused on his body than in his acting skills. He puts a lot of effort into getting action roles other than being an actor. Maybe because of the lacking of talent. He's reached his limit and I think he has realized that and has become an entrepeneur instead. You cannot compare SH with Tobias Menzies. I stopped watching the show because 2nd,3er and 4th season were pointless. She is great, though.
I think it is because she was talking about actors that were already in the job for a time, that it was great to work with, but she didn’t mentioned Sam because he was in the beginning as well as herself ( sorry my english!)
I can’t believe I missed this awesome interview! I agree with the above view. I personally think Sam wasn’t listed first because she was explaining the more experienced actors that came in that she learned from. Sam was more experienced, but still quite green when they started. It wasnt meant like it sounded 😊
Great...the last 5 minutes she brings up the murder of babies and how glad she is to fight that with her "Voice" Alllllll that does is make 50% happy and 50% mad..and THAT'S why you keep your mouth shut..
Fantastic interview. Caitriona is so down-to-Earth. Her parents must have done a really great job raising her and her siblings.
Brilliant interview. The most complete , comprehensive one of Caitriona I’ve seen thus far….
This was a great interview. Caitriona is so insightful when she speaks and has an honest and fresh approach to things.

Such a talent and lovely as well. If I come back I always said I would love to look like Jean Tierney. Now I want to look and sound like Caitriona.

Thank you so much for sharing ! 💕
You’re welcome!
Lovely . Thank you for the interview. 39:35
So good in outlander ❤ and love you in Belfast 🎉❤❤❤
What was your favorite dress in the second season?
I just hope that her and Sam don’t lose sight of how they got to where they’re at today, as so many actors do and think their poop don’t stink.
Impossible not to love Caitríona 😊 much easier if her name spelled Katrin 😅
She's Irish, it's spelt the Irish way.
