I just have one of The Dude from Big Lebowski who chills on my shelf holding a white russian, and thats enough for me. I do however have a devastatingly crippling addiction to Gundam model kits.
I hate blindbags. There's usually maybe one or two figures I want, but if I want those I have to keep buying these things over and over and every time I get one of the ones I didn't want, I just feel ripped off.
I think they're thinking way too hard about it. I just like looking at and having characters on my shelf. It's just my crow brain saying "I like it. I want it" but instead of a button or a shiny rock, it's a Darth Vader, Superman, Bulbasaur, and Spyro the Dragon all conveniently in the same visual style.
I don't get Arin's argument in this video. If you get something from a blind box you didn't want, OBVIOUSLY you didn't want it. You wanted the thing you were actually interested in and not the thing you actually got. Imo, I think it's better to choose your own fate rather than follow the herd or have it blindly given to you.
The only funko that I have I never even intended to have it. Awhile back I went to game stop and they had a box of "sugar bombs" from Fallout 4 and inside the cereal was a miniature funko of pipboy
I wish Nendoroids were as cheap as Funkos. I dont collect official figures of games/animes, but I always found Nendoroids so charming to display while Funkos are just creepy and worse than Amibos in the sense that you just display a wall of boxes and not the figure by itself.
I do have a collection. It means alot in places where shipping is expensive and funkos are the only alternative and some are really cute. That being said like with everything dont overdo it.
I hate Funko Pops. They’re only there to be hoarded and then signed by actors, only to be RESOLD for the most outrageous prices because they cared about the money and nothing else. They aren’t a novelty anymore. They’re just something to stick a price tag on, which might not be the case for many people, but to me, it’s the most scummy BS I’ve ONLY seen whenever they’re seen or heard.
I collect Amiibo because they’re needed to complete a certain game collection, they’re DLC. Funko Pops do nothing. They’re just there as toys or hoarder collectibles.
"Funko's are so overrated!" I say as a Darth Vader one sits on my shelf.
You got a big shelf
same, mewtwo for me and i'm not even into pokemon anymore
@@Bongus_Bubogus Not really lol
@@zsupper But I still think they're overrated lol
for shame

Honestly, that’s relatable. I’m not really into Funko pops as I used to be and I’m now all in on gunpla
Arin explaining why i'm emotionally attached to my "item" arpeegee

Here's a thought: your Funko Pop collection are characters in a D&D campaign. Just how screwed is your Dm?

It's solid justification for why he sells blind packs to trick people susceptible to fomo, completion compulsion, or gambling issues to buying more.
My wife's favorite funko is Kevin Malone from the office, holding his big pot of chili
My Hawkeye funko army standing proudly on my shelf xD can't get anything Hawkeye here in Ireland so I'll take what I can get
Doesn’t Game Grumps sell a blind bag called Arpeegees or something?
My biggest red flag is the cubical shelf in my room FULL of Funko Pops.
I don't get Funko Pops either, and I have 11 of them!
Mei from overwatch is chilling next to Chamberlain and the cabbage salesman from Avatar. Hmmm. . .
Funkos are about nostalgia for me

Funko Pops are for reddit users (stinky)

how are they creepy?
@@corymorrow5329 The souless black eyes and lack of mouth on most of them.
@@3slicessenpai fair enough i guess, i'm a fan of funko pops so I just don't get the dislike tbh, but to each their own
Funko went far from being a franchise and a store to now becoming a video game called Funko Fusion.
Man I'm so ready for funko slander, I've always fucking hated them 😈

I have a Super Shadow The Hedgehog that’s nearly worth $2000.
Didn’t Arin pay a ridiculous amount for a Atari E.T. cartridge from the landfill?
I mean, TO BE FAIR, I would assume it's cause it's a historic piece of video game history?
But the Hulk Funkopop is bigger than the others
ok but i want every single sonny angel
Nendoroids >>> Funko Pops
