PUP relies on the GTL base stock without the need of detergent dispersants. Mobil 1 is a mix of Group III and IV base stock so they use more detergent dispersants to help with cleaning. Generally, PUP GTL is a “cleaner” oil that doesn’t require as much detergent as more traditional non GTL oils, however the most important factor every oil test agrees with, branding or oil type doesn’t matter as much as using the correct weight and more importantly, changing at the correct interval (usually half of what the manufacturer recommends). I still use generic M1 as it’s tried and true, generally a thicker oil for its designated weight than PUP, however both are just fine as long as it meets your manufacturers spec and is changed on a decent OCI.

All synthetic oil is made from natural gas. Pennzoil advertises the most. I tried it once but didn't like it. I burned a quart in 2 months and never did that with any other oil. Now I use castrol edge and so far its been the best for me.
In the end, it won't matter. Been into engines for a loong time. Change whatever oil at 1/2 the modern recommended OCI, use the OEM filter, and that's all you can do far as oil. The other determining factors are daily driving style & patters, and keeping the engine in tune. In 40 yrs of doing engines, from stock family engines to 10,000+ rpm making 3hp per c.i. naturally aspirated on exotic fuels, and around a community of similar people/sanctioned racers, ive never seen an oil related failure. By faaarrrr and away the highest occurrence of engine damage is poor fuel quality and mis-tune, in race engines. In daily engines, it's too much idling, full throttle on cold engines, and not tracking oil levels in modern vehicles that have a tendency to run low on oil.

CASTROL FOR EVER!!! BRITISH PETROLEUM#1!!!
Not a fan personally, AMSOIL and Ultra platinum!
All synthetic oil is made from natural gas. Pennzoil advertises the most. I tried it once but didn't like it. I burned a quart in 2 months and never did that with any other oil. Now I use castrol edge and so far its been the best for me.
Synthetic oil is made of many different additives and chemicals but its main component is still derived from crude oil.
I use 4 quarts of Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and 4 quarts of Mobil 1 full synthetic. That I can’t go wrong…. Or can I?
I’m so I decisive! 🤣
Oh gosh 😂😂😂 sure that works lol
With good preventative maintenance the powertrain should outlast the body of the vehicle quite a bit
I run Toyota in Toyota, Honda in Honda. 😂
As long as it works 😂
Not necessary...
Pennzoil is garbage? Says who? Lmao
Many people
@@TuneNgoon many people are fucking stupid though. I used ultra platinum for years... Engine runs smooth.
It’s trash.
Whatever you say
Yes, you are.
