1> what are tension bars and compression bars (pls provide examples and differences between them)
2> at what distance from inner column face the top and bottom bars in a beam have to bent (pls explain using the example cited by you top bar anchor length 980mm and bottom bar anchor length 784mm )

Top bars in beam are compression bars and bottom bars are tension bars

Clear cover 50mm
Footing depth 600mm
Column bar 16mm
Ld = 50d = 800mm
So
L = 800-(600-50)-24=226mm
पर ये तो कम है।।।।
और अगर आप 300mm कहना चाहते है तो क्यों???
