Hey everyone! This may be unexpected but this movie has to be one of my favourite Arnold movies. It hit me emotionally in the most unexpected places and I have been thinking about this movie a lot after watching it. Yes... I know it's Kindergarten Cop... but I loved it.
Thanks for watching! Have a great day! :)

Your reaction to this film is a reminder that we do not need to watch a cinematic masterpiece to strongly connect to a film. There can be films with noticeable flaws but have aspects or scenes that we strongly connect to nonetheless, and we might not have any explanation for it. When that happens, the flaws are still there, but they seem to matter very little. Others might not like the films that we connect to, and they may even have their reasons, but in the end, I doubt that matters.
    Great job! 👍

The principal is Linda Hunt, a wonderful, marvelous actor who came to real attention playing a boy in "The Year of Living Dangerously". Often portraying a person of great moral and emotional strength, under-estimated because of her appearance, she has a lovely line of dialogue in the movie "Silverado" after demonstrating the thought: ua-cam.com/video/g2aQ-Q6a3aY/v-deo.html
Pamela Reed plays the delightful "wingman" Phoebe. My brother once observed that one of Schwarzenegger's great qualities is that he surrounds himself with intelligent, versatile, gifted actors to support him.

That's a good rating system! I love this movie and have probably seen it 25 times over the years. But on a recent watch, I noticed that John isn't a very good detective. He assumes that Mrs. Sullivan's husband is Zach's father, but she doesn't say that. She calls him "my husband," and John rules out Mrs Sullivan/Zach based on that conversation, when she easily could have remarried after leaving Crisp. It would even make sense that if she had been married to Crisp her next marriage could be abusive as well. It's actually Phoebe who rules out Zach Sullivan when she learns he's not related to Crisp.

It was a slam dunk, a crowd pleaser. So, it's no surprise that you enjoyed it. It was directed by legendary comedy director, Ivan Reitman. So, forget about Rotten Tomatoes. As far as Arnold just staying and becoming the teacher.....well, you need to get a college degree and now, also a master's degree in order to be a teacher. You even have to be certified in a specific area like grades 2-4 or K-3 etc. To be a substitute you need at least an undergraduate degree. That is until the advent of Covid. In some places they've changed the rules and anyone who passes the background check can be a substitute. They make it tough---so, no, Arnold couldn't just decide to stay. Excellent wrap-up. It is a fun, feel-good movie.

While you're on a horror kick with Pet Sematary, you should also watch Wes Craven's New Nightmare if you haven't seen it. Miko Hughes was in that as well. Actually, if you've never seen any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, you should watch them too.

LOL, Are you going to react to the sequel? Dolph Lundgren is pretty funny too...

10:55 no, not really, he just wants to make sure people are reminded of these things…childlike innocence and all, not knowing if other people know this little fact or not…
…sadly this scene is likely to result in the film getting banned, or any future releases would have it cut… sigh

One of the few Arnie movies I have never seen, which is probably a sin on my part

This was one of those movies I didn’t watch for years because it sounded absolutely awful. Just the idea of Arnold dealing with little children was ridiculous, but I ended up loving this movie because he had such a wonderful chemistry with the children. Just the fact that the children weren’t afraid to give him a hard time and he just had to take it (he obvious couldn’t be violent or mean to them) was hilarious.

Hhmmm...movie critics...they can kiss my southern hemisphere...and I never care who or what those "academies" vote as best film or actor. .you know it's all internal politics...
I never look for any ratings on any movie...I pick on interest of subject matter or casting...so..I like what I like and I enjoyed Kindergarten Cop..I've watched it in its entirety several times...
So never feel you have to defend your reactions..you're doing what you feel...
    Best of luck...🌿🌿🌿

Yeah, we did the pledge every morning. Well I sat down, and would get a lot of shit for it.

Your not from America? Hmm... I for some reason thought you were! lol... Anyways... Yes.. In American schools.. you pledge allegiance to the flag every morning!! :)

Not many schools do that anymore.

@@chrispruett81 - I believe it's done mostly in elementary schools so that the children can learn the pledge. After that, it's done during ceremonies or on special school events.

Walter Mitty is a great movie! It's also a remake, don't bother with the original.
