I used to listen to my late Uncle Hal being interviewed on a bunch of radio stations as he was a drummer on many of the music recordings of the 60ies and 70ies. I miss flipping the radio stations because there was much good music back then.
UA-cam was the best thing I could have ever found. I was in grade school when Elvis and Chuck Berry started the “ROCK AND ROLL” train rolling.l remember seeing Elvis on Ed Sullivan.l listen to all of the music that followed.The Beatles were just tearing it up when l got my draft notice. 😮😊

My teens started in 1962, just in time for the Beatles and the British invasion which inspired me to join a band and went abroad playing in military bases around Asia and ended my band years in Tokyo where I left the band to join the US military in 1973.... I will never forget those years and thanks to UA-cam I continue to enjoy my favorite music now at 75 years old...

I grew up with 5 older Sisters and would listen to these songs as a little girl… while they were getting ready for their dates! To this day when I hear a particular song, I remember what guy was coming to the house to pick up a Sister. It was so impressionable, such pure words and sounds. I miss those innocent days… but listening to these songs I’m transported back immediately! What a treasure. Thank you. ❤ to this day I can’t get ready to go out without turning on 70-80’s.

Love all these old songs. I grew up listening to 70s Am radio stations. Im 56 and still enjoy them. I don't like they cut the songs short. You play the full version.
From my perspective, being a DJ was fun! Cart tapes, reel to reel editing before digital, turntable cueing, cds… memories of air check tapes, which I still have some… the friends and the remotes that sometimes didn’t go too well but it’s still good times. Maybe I’ll spin my records in the future for the internet viewing experience of others… good job to you and all you do!

Love all these old songs. I grew up listening to 70s Am radio stations. Im 56 and still enjoy them. I don't like they cut the songs short. You play the full version.

From my perspective, being a DJ was fun! Cart tapes, reel to reel editing before digital, turntable cueing, cds… memories of air check tapes, which I still have some… the friends and the remotes that sometimes didn’t go too well but it’s still good times. Maybe I’ll spin my records in the future for the internet viewing experience of others… good job to you and all you do!
