- Here we are! Part 5, and the final segment of the Turbo conversion on the r33 sedan! This thing has transformed massively in the past few weeks!

Hi cam. just a question about the turbo oil line. I pulled the oil line off my turbo and started the car for about 5 or 6 seconds to see how much it was pushing. It pushed out about a liter and a half or so in that short time. Is it correct to be pushing that much oil. motor is a RB25det series one. Loving the content keep it up.
Is a air flow meter nessecary?? I thought you were using nistune which requires a afm??

I just finished putting my kit in and the car won’t idle. You have a diagram for how to run the vacuum lines?
Stock ECU, just trying to run 5 psi of boost. Stock MAF and ecu should be able to handle that much, according to my tuner. I was told to put the maf before the turbo as well, noticed you have it in another place. Let me know if you can!

How much boost can you run on these motors? Currently looking at a skyline with a DE motor and i was wondering if you can make big power on them
Providing you have upgraded your headstuds and head gasket, id say around 22-25psi. I don’t think I’ve seen many de’s over that. But I could be wrong
Bro, whats is you tune setup? Stock ecu? Injectors size? Afpr?
I was just wondering do you have to do anything to run a turbo on a na motor cause I’ve heard things like the compression is different and you can’t run a lot of boost can anyone let me know love this vid sounds sick
I run 14to17psi in my Na neo it loves life. If ur wanting to run 25-30 u should run a turbo motor or build ur Na bottom end. Keep it reet on UA-cam runs 21ish psi in his Na neo.
The compressive is much higher on non turbo motors. You don’t need to run as much boost to achieve the same hp on them. Bottom end is weaker on just your standard Rb25de s1-s2 but the Rb25de neo have forged rods same as the turbo motors so they are your ideal motor to +T ( they are solid lifters too with higher compression again)

Only thing I would do differently is do head studs (1 by 1) so I wouldn’t have had to replace the head gasket.

Was wondering if anybody knows this since i cant find much info on it here in the usa, but i want to build my 33 sedans engine up and was wondering if these de engines just needed rods and pistons to run over 400hp or is there more things needed?
Those things would help but arnt really mandatory. My S0 rb25de made just over 400hp on stock internals and stock head gasket. Ethanol definitely helps though with being able to run more boost etc
@@RapidShot my problem is ethanol is a pain in the ass to get here so id have to stick to 93 octane to keep it a “streetable” car
