The Rogue doesn't feel underpowered at all. I get up to highway speeds in mine in no time and can pass other cars at a quick pace. So I don't get what all the fuss is about calling it "underpowered" or a "POS." Also, the back seat is VERY roomy, even for our 6'4", 300 lb. family friend who remains supremely impressed with its room and comfort. It feels luxurious, safe, comfortable, roomy, has awesome space and cargo carrying capabilities, looks good, has a GREAT Bose stereo, a nice panoramic sunroof, beautiful interior, handles nicely and safely, brakes very confidently, has more than enough pick-up, the CVT tranny's smooth and, something that so many reviewers don't comment on, does much better than average on snow and light off-roading than the competition (save Jeep and Subaru) - and all for less than the major competition, since Nissan always is down to haggle. I test drove almost everything in the segment, and the Rogue fit best. There's a reason it's selling so well, and most car "enthusiasts" and reviewers just don't get it. (BTW, I'm a car enthusiast since the age of 4, and I love both the Rogue and Nissan's CVTs .)
Naldy Diaz You are right on the money there sir. Same reasons I took home a Rogue back in 2014 and why there's more than 1 Nissans in the family. They somehow are really good at figuring niches and equipping their products. Probably because they realized that modern drivers treat cars like tech gadgets and most car enthusiasts like to own more than 1 cars; 1 for each purpose.
Thank you for your review. I've heard nothing but negativity in UA-cam reviews about the power and it made me leery. I love Nissan's and I keep coming back (as far as research) to Rogues.
You nailed this review in my opinion, I found the same when I looked at this segment. No car is a clear leader in all areas, but the Rogue/XTrail is pretty competent in all of them, as an overall package it’s hard to beat.
I own a 2018 Rogue SL and it is as close to perfect as you can get. Tried them all and Rogue is best for ride, quality, safety features, space and comfort. The reviewers rave about the Honda CRV but do not buy because of oil dilution problems that are not solved yet by Honda.
How are you doing ? I am buying a Nissan Rogue 2018 SL AWD. I am doing research on it and watching some reviews, I am finding that it has a unintended brake issues and its wiring harness is having issue from time to time. Could you please tell me if you have those issues with yours ? Thank you in advance !
I have 2018 rogue, doesn't feel underpowered to me. but for the CVT, from my experience, SUBARU is better. much smoother. Nissan Rogue, when you push the gas paddle hard, all the time CVT will try to catch up. and for the Engine, I like Subaru's better. My 2018 rogue, when I accelerate, I feel the steering wheel vibrate a little, when it's around 1000-1500 rpm These are from my own experience. I own both Subaru and Nissan.

@@innovhaitian5142 hi! I’m doing great! How about you? I don’t know how u found this comment. Well, it was a very very pleasant car to drive for a while, very practical, fuel efficient, was using it for family errands and going to school daily, however, sadly it started to have issues with the CVT gear box, sometimes abruptly stopping while driving then I’d have to turn off the car and turn it back on, and it’s not just me who faced problems with the gear box on CVT Nissan cars. Btw it was a used 2015 model with around 130k miles on it. I’v used it for 2 years until it started having issues by that time I was already traveling for Uni and father sold it. All in all great car except the gear box sucks.
I have a 2017 Rogue SL. Love the looks of the vehicle, drives good, but has a constant smell of antifreeze and the heat occasionally, works. Only 6 months old, and had been to dealer for issues 9 times. Dealer can't find problem with the vehicle. I purchased three new Nissans this past year, and after this last one, Never again will I purchase another Nissan.

LitaL. If you're looking for an SUV in the midsize class like the Rogue. The Rogue is it. Id leave the performance argument to the coupes.
Thank you much!

Loving my 2018 sv midnight edition!
Me too
i just bought a white midnight ed 2021 it had 16,000 on it
I liked the Rogue Sport better because of it's compact size just enough for everyday errands. Great review though!
At least it looks better now
just bought a 2018 sv awd midnight ed 17 mil on it,,,hope it last like my 95 transport that i am keeping...but time to get a new car for the trips,,,
This winter was a bitch...lock the AWD and made it through everything. No more big 4x4 pick ups for me
was the rogue good in snow? that's what I'm concerned with
Too late, already bought one.

How is the Rogue now , I’m thinking of getting one.
@@brobin5323 Rogue ended up with blown head gasket at 18k miles. I believe it was leaking from new. It had lots of reliability issues.
Did you do a trade in or had it fixed?
@@brobin5323 it was supposedly fixed under warranty, but was traded in on an Armada while in shop.
Should have bought a Rogue instead of an Accord
