Nice to see my ‘old’ friend John Woodman on here reminiscing about our journey on Standard 48 on the last night of the Marton Tram Service,28th October 1962. Whilst he had disappeared to the rear,I had the chance to become the last driver to travel around Spen Corner, unofficially by kind permission of Jock McNaughton. I still have my friend Sylvia who is now the last conductress living who worked the ‘copper canyon’,Marton trams. Paul Galley, did you receive the batch of Marton photographs and 1962 DVD I sent you ?.
