Nice to see my ‘old’ friend John Woodman on here reminiscing about our journey on Standard 48 on the last night of the Marton Tram Service,28th October 1962. Whilst he had disappeared to the rear,I had the chance to become the last driver to travel around Spen Corner,unofficially by kind permission of Jock McNaughton. I still have my friend Sylvia who is now the last conductress living who worked the ‘copper canyon’,Marton trams. Paul Galley,did you receive the batch of Marton photographs and 1962 DVD I sent you ?.

I really enjoyed that. I could listen to stories like this all day long. Andy, Paul thank you so much

Many thanks Paul for another chat, this time with Robert and his memories of Blackpool trams from years gone by. He was certainly very clear minded when recalling his time as a conductor on the Trams and traveling to and from his home in Fleetwood. Thoroughly interesting interview - I hope that these videos will be amalgamated into the future TramTown exhibition area for visitors to see and hear. By the way, the interior if the Coronation tram looked resplendent, in particular the amazing upholstery. Can't wait to see a Coronation tramcar in its rightful place on Blackpool promenade carrying passengers again. Thank you both, Ken

Well done Bob! It looks amazing! I should imagine this board in its day was a vital tool in the tram shed, constantly being referred to and updated during the day and night that the trams run! Would it be possible to do a video on the Engineer tram 754 please? I have heard its the only tram that can be powered by overhead or by its own engine? Would love a video tour of the inside if possible please. Thank you for keeping my childhood alive! Are the colour numbers to help identify the different trams? Green for the standard livery and white for painted / illumination trams?

What were Blackpool thinking of when they came up with that POS livery, somebody would have been paid thousands to come up with that crap

I did the driving experience in Heaton park yesterday, Was an amazing experience. Got to drive Blackpool 613, I'll upload the footage to my other channel later if your interested.

A thoroughly absorbing chat with Shirley. It's most interesting to hear her recollections from the times when trams ran all around Blackpool. She's certainly fully committed to Tramtown and what it's all about. No doubt she'll be an excellent tour guide at the depot - never lost for a word that's for sure!

Would love to see an inside and out of the engineering tram 754. I was told that this tram is special in that not only can it be powered by the over head power lines, the tram is able to generate its own power making it able to run independently from any outside power source. Would love a detailed look of 754, quite possibly one of a very few trams that keep the tram network running 24/7, 365!

When its restored, will it be operational?
