Cruz should just retire and become a head coach, really got an IQ for the game, I think his injuries have really caught up to him nowadays
100% even on commentary you can tell he's really smart
Then his fighters gon wave/bob his head into another headkick like his coach.
@@MimiPipooin his decades of fighting he’s only been koed by a head kick once. And that was when he was like 36 years old. But I doubt anyone can learn his style and use it since Cruz is a freak athlete.

I'd love to see Dom as a head coach. I think Dom's style is unique and that uniqueness could continue to be expressed in fighters that he coaches, it would be exciting to see his style expressed in a next generation fighter.

Great breakdown. I think it will come down to Volk's strength and if he can tie him up and take him down.. He'll use leg kicks to slow Ilia down, and he'll fancy himself to be strong enough to overpower Topuira and get him down. And there are few as nasty as Volk's from the top position. If he gets you on the mat, you're there for the rest of the round and he has great GnP

It's crazy how Cruz illuminated their techniques. I couldn't see anything at first but as he explained carefully and demonstrated, I begun to see everything that they were doing clear as day.

Cruz has been great lately on UFC commentary. His personality has been coming through more and more :)
Dom is a legend for real. Volk will have the cardio advantage for sure but Ilia's ability to return fire while taking damage is a problem for Volk who I believe has only one path for victory which is take Ilia down and ground and pound. However, age 35 and over at featherweight are 2-25 and under Middleweight is 2-28! Father time is undefeated and so is Ilia Topuria, i hope I'm wrong. I would Love, love, love to see Alexander the Great shut this kid up, but everything tells me the end is always swift and nobody sees it coming especially in fighting.

Im picking topuria to win but mate cruz just showed his strengths and weaknesses as he is not perfect he is just very good, i think topurias power and defensive wrestling will win him this fight, i see volk sadly getting caught and reversed in wrestling exchanges.

I love DC he is funny but Cruz is a lot better at analyzing fighters he does his research. I don't think DC does any pre-fight analysis I remember some one saying he get people to do it for him
Nice analysis abot Volka avoiding right from Ilia. The beginning of the end was precisely a feint right hand: Volka throws left jab, covers his left head side with his right hand, but Ilia goes not up there but down to he body with his right, and then to the uncovered side of the head with his left. Volka had to go step back to the cage, and he was done there.

I would have liked if you talked more about his TD defense and Volks mental state, age and gameplan - coaches. Bet on Volk and lost, his gameplan was to strike with a fast technician with ko power, 8 years younger.
This is why Dom's the best at breaking things down. Has the fight IQ to make these reads. Sure, there's been a few bad calls but generally I think he's unbiased and intelligent.

Someone dropped Ilia with a headkick in his pre-ufc days. Not sure that Volk has that in his arsenal, but he might want to add it.
