My grand mother lived through this, I am British and in Penang at the moment she still lives in Penang but is very sick..
I was so touched,to hear Mr Jeremiah share his memories, they went through much pain, so much so the little pleasures or relationships, are so greatly embraced....compared to this generation, thank you again RAGE....for going the extra mile.
Fantastic. I am thankful for the opportunity to hear these stories. I am honestly surprised there is not more people watching this
I was sent by a comment on reddit. If it hasn't been already, I recommend posting one of these to to r/videos or another sub.
@Reiji
Unfortunately not all Japanese understands English like you and many till this day are clueless as to the extend of what the Japanese military did to many East Asian countries because Japanese textbook only teaches the part where the US nuked them, not anything before.
I have got real stories like this to tell how can I get in touch with u guys.
My phone number is 0164819988.
I just feel like crying soo many horrible shitty things happened to people around the globe and for what exactly? Because some asshole was not happy with beauty around them. It's the rich that start wars and the poor end them. Rich don't see the living, they are always wanting more but they don't know Jesus already gave everything for our pleasure.
My grandmother was killed during the Japanese bombings in Penang and my mum was left an orphan. She has PTSD from the war poor darling.😪
My grandmother told me when she age 9.She always hide in the attic with other 3 little brother..because afraid to be taken by Japanese..and also during that time ..she said..she really scared because her parent did not come home yet..and the Japanese army patrolling around her house.

So heart-warming that he went back to search for his wife in Bangkok post war..
R.I.P for papa....
What a lucky chap. He could’ve been slaughtered for being a guerilla even as a kid but ended up working for the Kempeitai? And Thai-Burma railway was a place countless were tortured and starved to death but yet he found his missus there? Lol. Reading his life story made me wonder if life is really pre-planned.
