I wanted 2 NVMe slots, but settled for a (different brand) single PCIE 4.0 slot plus an external adapter. Works better-than-expected.

Hi, would you recommend this mini pc, my wife just started a crafting bussiness ( cake topper designs) and we are on a budget she does a little bit of photoshop ( remove backgrounds, change contrast saturation, image correction, basic image editing ), illustrator ( to create vectors) and Cricut design space.
It should be OK. However if you can get some thing with a basic AMD processor, you would probably have a much better experience. I’ve seen them on pretty good sales here and there
Im waiting in minipc with dual 10gbe with dual nvme and quad (or dual)RAM slots. Would love to have a mini NAS for 2TB of content delivery. It is a specific task but needs redundancy
Wondering if that lcd info is built in on some kind of internenal memory/chip or if it really depends on the OS and would only works when running Windows

According to another review, it currently relies on Windows apps to provide detailed functionality. Otherwise you'll just get the time displayed.
On Amazon I see two versions: 15W and 20W TDP... which one did you review? Isnt TDP adjustable in Bios anyway? Very confused 😮
This model is the 15 W TDP model. Are you seeing the N 100 model?
@@TechGuyBeau I wish it was the N100 :) Here in Germany there are two S1 variants on Amazon. Both run the N95 and for the 20W model they advertise that it's even slightly better in benchmarks than the N100 (differences are really small) 🤷🏻
Can we control the mini screen from Ubuntu server? I really want this model to run Proxmox, specially because I can put 2 M.2. I just don't understand why they putted the USB at the top. This is weird....
It looks like some people are trying to make a Linux based program for the LCD screen, but I don't know if the company itself is. I couldn't agree more about the USB ports. It's unsightly and having things connected to them makes the unit less stable on its magnetic base. Because of this I use mine in the horizontal position.

Yep. The outer slot. The inner slot supports both NVMe and SATA.

The obvious argument for those who do not buy computer stuff for themselves and are not even savvy enough to know what we're talking about. Even some who think they know are unaware of the fact that storage is the most important part of a PC. Ten times faster is HUGE. It's the critical part of "throughput" as IBM used to put it. Some so-called enthusiasts also think they need 1000 W power supplies, without ever actually measuring the power consumption of their PC. Again, that's the best argument, but in a word it's pathetic.
This is not dual NVMe... Only one slot is NVMe, the second one is NGFF.
Both are NGFF, lol. NGFF is a module form factor and is the old name of M.2. NGFF=M.2.
And there one M.2 (form factor) with NVMe lines (interface), second M.2 (form factor) with SATA lines (interface).
And FYI M.2 can be with USB, I2C and so on interfaces, it is not just SSD and not just PCIe and SATA. There are so many keys A-M for this. Learn the materiel.

I'm seeing other writeups that the second M2 slot is SATA only. Have you checked it?
The other sadness is there's no support available for the mini display under linux.
It says the other is sata only but it doesn't have 2 keys for a sata drive, only one which is nvme. If you pause this video where it shows the drive slots you can see the slot and its config. Not tried an nvme in it so can't speak to its actual abilities.
@@thaneuk - SATA m.2 drives don't *require* the M key be present on the slot, only the B key. The SATA m.2 drives themselves have both the B and M key cutouts.
I recently bought this mini PC. I can confirm that only 1 slot supports a M.2 NVMe. The video description is wrong. It's not dual NVMe. For the other slot, you must use a M.2 SATA. The M.2 NMVe will fit in the second slot, but it won't work.

Thanks a lot. Any small PCs support two 2280 NVMe? So far, I have found the GMKtec K7 and the MINISFORUM EliteMini TH80 (that's assuming the information is correct).

the specs say it supports dual nvme m.2 up to dual 2tb. did you try it with 4tb drives? Will it support a 32 gb single channel ram?
i did try 4tb but i didnt try a 32gb stick of ram.

@@TechGuyBeau - The specifications at Intel's website for the N95 processor show it supports only up to 16GB of RAM.

I got one of these for Christmas but the 2 TB MM2 won't show up. I've tried 2 different ones. Any suggestions?
You probably need to format it
Type “partition” in your search in windows
You’ll see “create and format hard disk partitions”
In there you should see unallocated disk (likely with a black marking). Right click it and format

Your post is a couple of months old, but just in case this is the reason, only the inner slot supports NVMe (and SATA), while the outer slot is SATA only.
It is NOT Dual M.2-NVME, ist 1x NVME and 1x SATA!

Since malware was found preinstalled on their mIniPcs and with how many models they produce its just to difficult to sort out which ones might be safe to buy so I avoid the entire brand.
I always recommend doing a fresh install of windows using a windows media usb on any system to be safe. The issue then is… is the windows key authentic?

you don't need a monitor - you game with the built in monitor - the magnetic doors are gud, you should have done raid0 with the nvme
The second m.2 slot is NGFF (SATA), not NVMe. I assume you were joking about gaming on the 1.9" diagonal measure built in display that appears to be driven by a serial to USB connection and has a listed resolution of 170 x 320 pixels.
