I absolutely love this map. It takes a joke concept where you think "someone would never make that", and then he went along and actually made it. I would understand why some people wouldn't like it, since it is really gimmicky though. Also, I would also like to point out that this map has 100 pain elementals, and god machine only has 78.

@@DinnerForkTongue of course you're right. I meant in normal wads( whatever that means in DooM) it could be one of the abstract secret maps. In Going Down it makes absolute sense as a regular map.😉
The brilliant thing about this map is that it's not difficult if you throw yourself into it gamely, but because it involves masses of the two most-hated monsters in the roster, it plays on your instincts to despair once you realize that and try to cheese their mechanics. Thus, it is only when one overcomes oneself and one's own weaknesses that one can prevail. A poignant lesson.
You have to appreciate Doomguy's determination, hijacking an UFO and entering a dimension of fire and pain just to grab the red key for the elevator. One of the most memorable maps in Going Down. The wad is normally so consistent with it's elevator entrances and exits, so when you get here it really feels like you're going to an alien land. This map is ridiculous and I like it
I guess work can wait for a bit longer. Time keep watching Going Down
Imagine there's a casual player somewhere, who's thinking: I'm not not too good in Doom, I will try this wad on HNTR. Then he beats the wad, and proceeds to replay it on a higher difficulty. Imagine the shock he gets on this map:)
What a map , what a blast! This is 32 mins of fun 😀 I call this map the meatball map.
First time I played this wad, I played with Brutal Doom. And this was the hardest map, because Pain Elemental's death explosion is actually lethal in Brutal Doom if you're too close - and this map is all about close PE combat.
I imagine if you load up the same DeHackEd patch from Avactor that simulates the Doom 64 PE behavior (block a Lost Soul spawn, take a barrel explosion's worth of damage), you can get this same agony without BD, and Boom-compatible too. Ugh.

I know MetaDOOM has Pain Elementals that bite you if you get too close.
The music has a distinct Cyriak vibe.
I wonder who made the WAD!
Воу воу, полегче. Вообще законно выкладывать столько хорошего контента за такой маленький промежуток времени?..
This is the best Archiville map.
Ah yes, I’ve waiting this video, I also suffered with the secrets of this map lmao
I saw this in my subscription and said "Oh yeah" out loud.
