Thanks for the question Richard and the answer pastor John cause it relates to some extend how I feel. Well really need a lot of meditation and fixing our hope on Christ.
How might this apply to seeking a spouse then, specifically Mueller's method of specific promises? The book of Proverbs states that "he who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord." And this video makes reference to Psalm 84 where "no good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly." If a spouse is a good thing, and God grants us all good things if we walk with Him, then why are there so many followers of Christ who wind up single and heartbroken?
7:52 ouch. I think I will spend my whole life trying to reconcile myself to this way of thinking, feeling and believing. Such a pang of disappointment it leaves in my heart though. Wow..😖
WHEN GOD SAYS NO When God says no He means no, charge the altar if you dare You may abhor His answer, all who cross that line beware For we’ve made prayer a tool, where we think to change God’s mind And we think to make God make see, what He has determined to make blind For we are puny men, thinking to change Almighty God’s thought For we think ourselves the spider, and God the fly in the web we’ve caught When God says no He means no, for God never with Himself takes a guess For far better in the long run, is the no we get instead of the yes Hard teaching for those in hard times! If the truth be told! KERCHLOW CHRONICLES
I'm a month away from being 38 and I've been single now for 6 years. Every time it seems the women that express interest in me, I'm not keen on and vice versa, all the girls I like aren't into me. I've been on so many dates, plenty of first dates, and some second / third dates but still nothing that's progressed into a relationship. I see there should be three aspects between two people that lead to a relationship - the connection, physical attraction and having enough in common, similar outlooks etc Something has always been missing for me. I can't help but feel like a failure in not even coming close to having a relationship in all these years. Is there any hope, should I give up? I'm a Christian and I believe and trust in God but no doubt it is still a difficult journey.
"Seek first the kingdom of God..". If been reading about the kingdom of God for 16 yrs and I am still so confused as to what it is. Please help me understand?
The Kingdom of God is the kingdom that Jesus proclaims and rules over, it's what the good news is all about. His kingdom is already here but hasn't yet fully arrived. It's God's kingdom of which we (believers) are citizens where Jesus rightfully and justly rules. We seek his kingdom by proclaiming his good news to others and spreading the Word of God, we are supposed to seek to become members of His kingdom by being like Jesus and following his teaching. It's the nation of all the believers that ever existed and ever will exist and it will be completed when Jesus, our King, returns. This is the best answer I could give, I suggest looking more into it and asking someone with more experience in the Word than I do, but I hope this helps. Have a good day and God bless.
I don't really wanna say, lol. I'm sorry about that. But there is a lot I'm going through, and I just need someone to talk to. To encourage me in God. I've been watching his videos and everything I can to be encouraged. Reading my Bile and stuff too. It's just I been through a lot in my life, and I just need someone to talk to. That will tell me the truth, so i may be encouraged in truth and not a lie. Thank you so much for asking though. I really appreciate it.:)
I always appreciate his in depth answers to these often difficult questions. They are so helpful.

I don't have an answer, but just wanted to say I hear you! I am in the same spot. I am too old to have kids now. It's hard.
Same problems, no answers. Just about done with it all. Maybe the Lord will fully harden my heart soon and I’ll be able to pursue whoever.
Same here

Does anyone know what book he is quoting from?
Owning slaves (free labor) also allows for “these answers prayers”
