- As a part of the Cooperative Extension Service 4-H Egg to Chick School Enrichment Program, Trisha Chavez, Socorro County CES 4-H Program Assistant demonstrates egg candling in a day 7 embryo. As part of the incubation process, egg candling provides a visual check to ensure embryos are growing. It is common to candle eggs 7 and 14 days after being placed in the incubator to monitor progress.
