Thanks Ryan for showcasing the beautiful Netherland. Have been several times there! Keukenhof, Windmills, serene and green villages, colorful flowers are things that I LOVE! Greetings from Indonesia 👋
Another awesome video .. Another place I need to see. Very cool inside those windmills. The canals are Beautiful it looks like at night. Awesome history man best videos as always!
Ryan, you’ve done a great job by this part 1. I got to know you from the Amalfi coast, Italy. Here, as a dutch guy, I have some tips for NL part two: Groningen, with their Martinitoren! The hills (small mountains) in Zuid-Limburg around Maastricht & Valkenburg. Neeltje Jans in Zeeland (which means Sea-land), also known as De Delta-werken. You will surely get impressed a lot more about our ‘fight against the sea’. (To add: in 1953 a huge catastrofe occurred, people lost their lives / houses. Then they built these waterworks. This has to be in part 2. We also built Flevoland, although it’s not the ‘nicest’ part of NL. Perhaps interesting: Madurodam, .. all of NL, to see in a tiny way. De Veluwe, .. De Oostvaardersplassen. are places of nature. And definitely: show one of the Wadden-eilanden. Interesting: due to the thights (flood that comes or goes?), it is possible TO WALK to some Islands. (Ameland & Schiermonnikoog). If you are there, show them also De Afsluitdijk. And don’t forget Volendam. And close to Rotterdam: De Maasvlakte*, perhaps you can take Spido (a boat) to get you there! * google “Future Land. Bye!! PS: don’t forget our Posbank ..
I've been to the Netherlands twice, it's honestly a beautiful country! It's pretty awe-inspiring how they managed to make the most of the land they have.
Maybe places to include in part two that are a bit outside the Randstad and Holland: Maastricht National park de Veluwe Deventer Den Bosch Groningen De Waddeneilanden (Vlieland Schiermonnikoog)
I heard that dutch children are happiest in the world. As an indian who studied 13 hours everyday including sunday Netherlands makes me jealous freakingly jealous. Dutch are very lucky.
One place I've always wanted to go to in the Netherlands is a village called Giethoorn. Apparently, there are no roads and you have to walk or sail around in the rivers. I’ve only seen images but it looks like something out of a Disney movie🥰
Spent 4 days in Amsterdam 10 years ago, part of a month long European trip. Went to Zaanse Schans for half a day and it was fascinating. We stayed in Zaandam which was also a great find. Never made it to the Tulip Fields though. Guess I'll have to go back. Great video as always. 😊
Urk is amazing! It also has a nice forest and amazing seafood restaurants. The history is really interested and the whole town has a cozy vibe. Huge recommendation
@@RyanShirley the province of Limburg. I would highly recommend visiting it; especially South Limburg. It has unique rolling hills, picturesque villages, and rich blend of Dutch, Belgian, and German cultures. The landscape and experience is very different from the rest of the country. Many Dutch people from the North celebrate their holiday there. My recommendations would be: Maastricht, Vaals (Three-Country-Point/Drielandenpunt), Valkenburg, the American War Cemetery in Margraten and - last but not least - the Mergelland Route, which is one of the best road trips and scenic drives this country has to offer. I know it’s not close to Amsterdam, but we’re in a small country compared to yours :) Trust me: it’s worth the drive!
Nice video as always bro 😊 I haven’t been to the “mainland” Netherlands, but have been to Aruba(Constituent country of Netherlands) when I was very young and the only thing I remember was how beautiful the underwater seascapes were :D
Great travel guide Ryan! The Netherlands looks absolutely stunning with its canals and tulip fields. Thanks for sharing these top places - definitely makes me want to visit! My favorite place so far has to be Amsterdam. Keep up the awesome content! Cheers, Simon - Tales From Abroad
We just came back from Croatia where we visited many places mentioned in your video (just got in the lighthouse today in dugi otok). No we will go back to the netherlands where we live, such a coincidence!
@@RyanShirley Dubrovnik and makarska were amazing, i also went zip lining in Omis and the mountainous views were nothing short of spectacular. On our way back we will visit Hallstatt in austria too!
If you're planning to discover more of the Netherlands, I have made a list of some very scenic villages mainly in the south! I highly recommend getting out of Holland and Utrecht + Flevoland altogether, and explore places like Maastricht, Deventer and Nijmegen as some obvious examples, but especially villages like Hulst, Willemstad, Vinkeveen, Gennep, Woudrichem and Valkenburg. I can send you more recommendations if you're curious!

Hi Ryan great video about my home country! Always loving your video's. When you come back don't forget to visit the south were i live. Maastricht, Valkenburg are great places to visit. But also the 3 landen punt. Where Netherland, Germany and Belgium crosses borders. BTW other great places to visit are Utrecht, Giethoorn, Volendam, 'S Hertogenbosch.
Great to see your video from my country Ryan.. I'm looking forward to your part two movie. In which I hope you moved away from 'the Randstad' and visited more off the beaten path tourist locations, like 'Loonse & Drunense Duinen', 's-Hertogenbosch, Maastricht, Groningen and/or Zeeland. Netherlands is vastly becoming more touristic and it would help the entire country if the tourists get more stretched out, so every part of the country can profit from tourism incomes.
