Reading through Acts chapter 17 I was sort of curious to learn more about the Epicureans and the Stoicks and sought information. But what I found in this teaching was way beyond my expectations, you have given a whole lot of insights and informations. Forever grateful to God for connecting me with you in this teaching series. God bless you.

I am not sure about Christianity is better than epicureanism in relation to happiness on earth. Christianity built on suffering, guilt and salvation and not on happiness on earth.

Bless you, Mohamed, but medieval Christianity is long gone. Emphasis of suffering , guilt, and earth as a vale of tears are replaced with resurrection, gratitude, joy, and the Kingdom of Heaven is among us. Here. On earth as in Heaven. “God has created a good world” (Bruce Gore). When studying a religion, study the WHOLE of that religion, not just the excesses of zealots.

@@benedictaww2513 that's what it was emphasised by many theologian, that resurrection is the hallmark of Christianity, which is based on suffering and sacrify.
Almost all Abrahamic stories about obeying god and willing to sacrify happiness to demonstrate obedience which is something I do think is essential to orderd life and to keep us away from our narcissistic pathological tendency.
I don't see happiness is the purpose of life. But any excess of that leads to feeling of guilt and remorse which is painful and destructive in itself.
