The koysho wheel looks awesome on the tamiya. Ill like a koysho scorpion also. The reissue kits come with diffs and slipper clutches but still looks orginal even the turbo scorpion came back and tomahalk
AMPRO Engineering no problem thanks for your reply! As a side note do you know of any resources to help me to decide which gear ratio I should use on my bigwig build? There's multiple options but not many resources to help me decide.
No i use white processed and then paint it matte black. All nylon colors on shapeways are dyed plus the black cannot be polished so I do not like the finish.
i have a friend that bought some 3D printed wheel adaptors, they weren't cheep and lasted about 10 seconds because of how brittle 3D printed parts usually are.
I wonder what they were made of. These are SLS Nylon, I have entire RC cars made of it. I also have many parts on 1:1 cars made of it. It is really strong.
@@AMPROEngineering i don't have a hornet transmission to compare the MF-01X to. i messured the axel on the MF-01X and the total length is 15mm from the wheelhub and the threaded end is 11mm. The axel thickness is 5mm and the threaded end is 4mm thick.
YES!!! Thanks for taking the time looking at my Idea and getting these adapters made! Can't wait to run them on my buggy and do a video! =)
Glad you like it! They look killer! I'll email you shortly.
Cool I can't wait to get the stuff back and try it!
I will get that out soon.
Oh can i do a wheel review on those grips you gave me?

Those cars are seriously awesome, I agree!
Very nice! Lots of exciting stuff!
Thanks! Those tires look great.
Do you know when you are going to be starting with those front and parts for the king Blackfoot trucks please let me know I am Very curious
It is on the radar but will be a while.
Hi love your videos! Is there a chance you could do a tamiya bigwig video? I just bought a rerelease to keep my xx and gtx company!
Thanks Anthony! Unfortunately I do not have one to do a review on.

Does the scorpion front wheel use same size bearing as hornet?
Great question. I made these for a friend but I am not familiar with the Scorpion. Search for the bearings it takes and see if the inner is 5mm.
Are those original Scorpion rims or are they from the re-release? Looking forward to the Falcon vid!
These are re-re. I am too, that vid is going to be a great one.
Hey man great vid!! Is there a way I could contact you in regards to 3d printing a star wheel that is made for vintage buggies in terms of size?
Amproengineering@gmail.com
did you use black natural versatile plastic?
No i use white processed and then paint it matte black. All nylon colors on shapeways are dyed plus the black cannot be polished so I do not like the finish.
@@AMPROEngineering cool, plus the white is cheaper too.👍

@@AMPROEngineering yeah nice, i have no idea what type of 3D printed stuff my friends adaptors were made from but it was as brittle as glass
I just ordered a set of these. Do you know what bearing size would be needed to fit the front Kyosho wheels to the Tamiya?
Sorry man I don't. I do know that the front axle on the Tamiya is a 5mm so all you would need to know is the Kyosho wheel Dia. Hope that helps!
Hi. is it possible to use these adaptors to putt the scorpion rear wheels on a Tamiya MF-01X chassis?
That is a good question. It would depend on the axle length. Do you have a one of these transmissions to compare the MF-01x to?

@@AMPROEngineering i can get some pictures where do you want them sent?
What tire is this?
From a Kyosho scorpion.
