Nice Laurie. I have been here twice. Once we stayed in a great AirBnB in Positano which was amazing and being in the center of the coast is great for avoiding traffic by using the water taxis. The second time I stayed in Sorrento, which I preferred do to the access to the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and the Naples Museum. Thanks for sharing and welcome to UA-cam. Your video popped up right after I went 😂 I stayed in Amalfi and I don’t regret it but it was definitely a panic purchase. I had already booked plane tickets and every review I saw told me to book hotel ASAP so I didn’t really do a lot of research. I don’t regret it because I was so close to the port & I liked taking ferries but I really do think I could have found something cheaper. I knew taxis would be expensive but when I was quoted 60 euro for 12 minutes I canceled most of my reservations 😅 it was still an enjoyable time though & I didn’t go hungry.
Ahahah ! Thanks for sharing your experience and yes, I agree taxis are too expensive there but overall the Amalfi Coast is such a beautiful destination ! :)

Hi! We will be staying in Sorrento and also doing day trips to visit Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Do you have any hotel recommendations for Sorrento and do you remember how much you paid for the hotel shuttle from Sorrento to Naples Airport? We are planning on taking the morning ferry to each town and returning to Sorrento by bus because the ferries stop running before dinner time. Were the bus stops just as chaotic in the evening as they were during the day or was it easier to get on a bus in the evening? Also can you please let me know which beach in Amalfi did you find to be the best? Thanks!

So helpful! I'm visiting Italy in May and my friends and I will be visiting Rome, Amalfi, and Sorrento. I've heard people say there is a ferry from Salerno to Amalfi. Do you have any recommendations for how to book a ferry to Amalfi?
Hi there! Thank you for your comment :) If you can get a ferry, I think it is the best way to get to Amalfi! Some hotels can arrange that for you so I would ask at the front desk. Otherwise, when I was in Italy, we reserved many things online. Hope that helps xx

I never did France to Amalfi but I would look at bus or train for more affordable options. :)

Thank you for the information. The boat tour was it a full day and did you went to Capri ?
Hi :) The boat tour was for 4 hours and I think it was enough ! Also, yes I did go to capri but from Sorrento. During this trip, I went to Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. So I decided to take the ferry to capri when I was staying in Capri. However, there are also some ferries from the Amalfi to Capri and it is as great!
