Increasing the oil feed to the TCT is all you need to do. That's it. Anything else is extra work. The problem with the TCT is and has always been hydraulic pressure because there isn't enough feed to the piston. By increasing the oil feed, you increase pressure in the unit increasing hydraulic tension on the piston, and increasing the amount of oil that squirts on the chain. The two holes besides the threads for the bolts on the service port are using the oil feed to both keep tension on the piston, and squirt oil on the chain.
My 2002 still has the original TCT. I have never had the chain noise and during valve adjustment all looks well with the chain, guides, and covers. After recently replacing my VTEC solenoid rubber washers preventative, I noticed how hard the rubber becomes with age. I wonder if some people have problems with their TCT because the inside o-ring goes bad and allows oil to get past, reducing the pressure to the tensioner piston. I also hear of people sand blasting their worm gear only to have the problem come back shorty thereafter. Maybe they didn't replace their rubber o-rings? Anyway, I'm leaving well enough alone for now.

What’s the size of the bolt that you used to hold the piston in?
How's the TCT afterbthe rebuild?
Nice and quiet 👌👌
1/4 inch washers.. not 5/16
Has anyone else verified the results of this oil restrictor mod on an old TCT (minus the worm lapping)?
how many hp this machine??? :D
460hp on 93, setting up for flex fuel and retuning on E85 for more power. Stay tuned 😈
@@ericmorgan1256 very good we had civic atmospheric we are thinking to buy s2000 :D
