My big problem with Troy Baker's Indiana Jones impression is that he only seems to have the one mode of "suave breathy youthful Indiana Jones" voice even during his comedic quips, when Harrison Ford's range was much more gruff and acerbic even in the very early films. It never leaves 'impression' territory, and it's kinda lame
That's Troy Baker in a nutshell, popular terrible voice actor, everyone is the same.
Both versions of Jeff's voice (AI and bass boosted) sound like a Tracy Ulman era Simpson's character.

The reward for clearing 1k levels of prestige is they cut your internet and make you wash and eat a balanced meal.

You know what would be really cool? Is if they fixed that shoddy job they did of the WC3 remaster. That is my takeaway from that Warcraft trailer.
As someone who really likes Deus Ex, I thought Perfect Dark looked really good and I am really looking forward to it.
I wonder why they're billing this as the final chapters of wow. Will there be a big change at the end of the trilogy or is it just purely a marketing thing? I don't really play much wow at this point but I still follow it in case something grabs me again someday
@@ataridc This is just the end of the Worldsoul saga for which the seeds were planted at the end of the Legion expansion in early 2018. There'll definitely be more WoW expansions. I was watching a GDC talk the Warcraft general manager gave, and apparently the current expansion, Dragonflight, has seen a much smaller subscriber drop-off than normal between launch and the expansion's final content update, which HOPEFULLY bodes well for the game's health.

Dragon Age is legit shocking. Like what on gods green earth are they thinking? It could still end up being a good game, but man…..Dragon Age got popular and half of it was the adult tone and all that. It’s like if they made the next Hellblade and she had a wacky chipmunk sidekick on her shoulder the entire game
As someone who found Dragon Age 1 hideously dull I'm glad to see some zest to this game. If this has to be targeting the 18-20 something mainstream gamer crowd at least make it punchy.
@@davidbenson5794 I could see that. I found Dragon Age boring as hell. I’m not a fantasy guy at all, so this looks a little better for ME (and you). That being said, I know what the fanbase wants and this ain’t it ha. I heard the gameplay reveal isn’t this cartoony though

Up to now, I've liked the few trailers I've seen.

Perfect Dark really gave me Deus Ex and Mirror's Edge vibes.
A great presentation on the whole, but as a Bioware fan since like Baldur's Gate 1 I am profoundly saddened to be reminded of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands from that Dragon Age trailer. You figure anything in development that long has got to have been rebooted to hell and back and is most likely in rough shape but that looks like a game made by an entirely different studio.
It's bizarre to see CoD using clips of Presidents I was alive and remember their terms. Man WW3 needs to kick off soon otherwise CoD is going to run out of wars to make games about.
That starfield dlc looks much cooler than the main game. But maybe it'll be like the cyberpunk elements on the cyberpunk planet and feel watered down as well.
This felt like a really good E3 level presentation. I want to play a bunch of these games, and MGS gave me legitimate chills.

Ive replayed mgs 3 prob the most of any game. Its a top 5 game to me. And their dedication to making this an upgraded version of the same game brings me hope.

It's nice seeing signs of life from Xbox for a change. Even though it didn't have much that appealed directly to me, it did give me hope that some such announcements could come in the future, and gave me the general impression that I own a Series X for a reason. I was really starting to question that.

But WHY. Stop motion isn't a style. It's a method of animating, and it's NOT a digital method.
@@bobmcbobbington9220 You've got an extremely narrow definition of style then. Style is how something is presented and what sort of emotions it's trying to evoke in the viewer. I've got very happy memories of stop motion programming from as a kid.

48:54 i think souls-lite means that you never lose souls. That way you can keep the souls combat style, but its "lite" so you always feel like you are progressing

the new Flight Sim looks like a capital VG Video Game, which is a nice contrast to the one from 2020 which felt like a tech demo for their crazy Microsoft Azure earth mapping stuff. Don't get me wrong, I played a lot of it, but it was pretty bare-bones.
Flight Sim 2020 was a foundation. The core of the world and flight tech needed for a flight sim, but not a huge amount more. FS2024 is the building on top of that foundation
Indy's voice sounded pretty good to me!
There is nothing about that Dragon Age trailer that gives me any hope for that game.
As someone who really, really enjoyed BG3. The tone piece, at least of Dragon Age, sent me in the other direction.
BG3 is great because it has memorable characters with great voice acting and astounding writing attached to them. Not this quippy bullcrap.

I think having Black Ops 6 Campaign be actually good marries well with the gamepass day one decision. If you can get people in the door who might not play cod mp with good word of mouth for single player, you can get some of those to enter the mp ecosystem
COD is a known quantity and has been for 20 years.

Jeff mentioned at the end of the show how there were stories about Fable having trouble. There were similar stories around Perfect Dark. What game doesn't have a rough development, wasn't it said that God of War 2018 was rough as hell when Shu visited, then it all came together before release. I honestly think because it's Xbox and because the media love pumping out negative Xbox stories as they get the views, that's why you see these stories regarding Xbox studios and not PlayStation or Nintendo studios. You can bet your ass they both have problems during development, but it comes together before they ship the final product. But that doesn't get views. That is the Xbox tax.

That was a decent enough showcase. Although the thing Microsoft struggles with is the finished product. There's a lot of 2025 in there. Fingers crossed they can finally crack that egg.

Only thing they did wrong was the pricing on t he new hardware. Series S should be $199. Everything else was fire. 300GB file size for COD though. Wow.

Overall, it was.. a good showing from Microsoft, This could have done really well at an E3 presentation, if that show still existed.
Perfect Dark does look like a bit of a target rendering of what the final game could look like. But I am interested in anything Perfect Dark.
Gears of War was a nice surprise for those who were jonesing for more GOW. As soon as that trailer played, I knew they were going to sneak a cover of Mad World in there,
Doom looks neat. Though I think that Medieval setting would be better suited for a new Quake game.
COD Black Ops 6 is ... what I would have expected to see. To be honest.
This is all around a solid showing.
I have laryngitis literally same time as Jeff. Have to talk like 7 hours a day....had to take off Friday and complete vocal rest. N I w that I get a cold and instantly sound just like Jeff, it's likely vocal fold scarring...last thing I want is polyps or surgery, last time I talked through it like Jeff I was out like 10 days.....gotta just go on complete vocal rest...all other remedies are only moderate helpful, it's an inflammation of vocal cords, tea honey BS, nothing touches the cords....just need to let them rest.laryengitis should be rare with colds....if it happens most of time that usually means u pushed it too hard in the past and developed scaring.

I didn't like Starfield at all but that DLC at least looked more interesting visually than anything I saw in the admittedly short time I was playing that game and Bethesda DLC has historically been pretty great, I doubt I'll get round to ever playing it though because of the aforementioned not liking Starfield at all.

@@acnash27 it will probably _look_ fine (subjective art direction aside) but it will most likely feel and sound (writing, tone, story) uninteresting and offputting for fans of the first game. DA:I already strayed very far for what they've been doing in Origins, this seems to be even more detached.

As a historian, I feel the need to let Activision and Microsoft know that the Operation Desert Storm/ the first Gulf War was still during the Cold War. The Clinton years was immediately post Cold War, and the Iraq war was definitely after the Cold War. They are mixing different periods. Also that song was definitely made long after 1991.
Fat of the Land came out in '97 I believe. XL released it in '96. Great album.
Good games shown but feels like a lot of "next year" stuff, which has been the story with them the last few years

It's kind of funny when they suddenly switch to an indie looking mouse game after all these megabudget titles, it really shows there are completely disparate concepts of gaming these days.
