They did a great job animating that last scene. In the comic that sequence is just one panel showing each of them them dying so that was all original.
This is a fun series I can't wait for you to watch the rest

I prefer the show version. Him struggling with all the heroes explains why he waited. And it makes certain later scenes more impactful.

this was by far one of the most shocking episodes of anything i had seen in a while when it first dropped. that ending comes out of NO WHERE and it goes so hard. i am a huge fan of heavy subversion in art, so it really got me hooked. they demonstrate to you their understanding and love and command for the "super hero" genre, drop little hints along the way that something is amiss and then just hit you with random awful blood and gore death at the end and its * chef's kiss *
Even as someone who watches and enjoys gory stuff myself I was kind of stunned after that, because it has the animation style of a PG-13 superhero show not unlike Justice League or Young Justice, it's fairly wholesome and introduces you to a band of superheroes only to have them all be brutally murdered.
Shocking? More like funny
red rush's death had to be the worst. him crushing his skull must've felt like days to him, months even. cant imagine the amount of scenarios he played and tried to escape but he just couldnt once omni-man had him.

If the only theory that came to your mind was that he was cloned, it means that you only see the good in people... Your brain refuses to accept that someone who looks good, may be the exact opposite.

Funny thing... I didn't even notice the show was rated R when I watched the first episode. The last scene caught me SO off guard, but it's also what got me hooked on the show. Talk about a "WOW" moment!

This show did things to me I honestly never want to experience again. I don't think I've ever watched something so shocking and so damn entertaining. It has its ups and downs, some characters are pointless and annoying but other than that and few dodgey animations this show is flawless. Ive never been more excited for a second season.

It's all basically parody to Justice League with Guardians of the Globe. And Omniman is basically a Superman, very powerful alien and all that
When Mark said his name should be Ass Kicker and then said it was childish. That was because Mark is voiced by Glenn from The walking dead and on the show they called baby Judith Lil Ass Kicker

Red Rush's death is even worse than it's visuals if you think about it. He explained to his girlfriend how every second feels like hours to him... so he had a LOT of time to feel what was happening to him...
I think after this you need a pallete cleanser. May I suggest Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Mahou Shojo Madoka Magica)? A nice little wholesome magical girl anime of just 12 episodes and a movie. No flying guts and brain-matter in that show.

This was like watching little kids enjoy life up to the point when they would have a fight with Dad and got kicked out of the house at 17, and then roommated with an abusive partner while going to college for a Law or Nursing degree only to find out that their interest is actually in music.

I was excited to watch that show because I heard Lennie James was in it.. you know Lennie friggin James from The Walking Dead, among other things... he was Darkwing... the Batman clone whose head was splattered when Omni Man swung him to the floor.... so yeah, didn't see that coming at all.

19:37 I couldn't help but say that I SOMEHOW guessed that his name was "Darkwing"....... I knew he was an alternate version of batman and when I thought of his disciples the Arkham Knights, I thought about Nightwing after hearing that he called upon "wing jet" like the bat wing. So my mind thought of Black Wing for the name until just 4 seconds before I had the name relieved I thought of Dark wing last second!!! Sorry, just wanted to point this out :3
