Hi. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I can’t wait to try it out. I see you are also sharing some donut icing/glazes… ❤ I’d like to make some icing using jelly or pudding powders… is that okay? And how do you know what else I can use other than vanilla, banana, etc extracts in liquid form? It is also hard to find the matcha green tea powder, etc. Please help. Much appreciated 😊
Thank you for your recipe I make it just right now so good so delicious my kids love it anyone haven't try a must just the same how Zoey explain it perfect
Combine powdered sugar, matcha powder, and 1.5 tablespoons of milk. Add more milk, a splash at a time just until it's smooth enough to glaze. It should be thick enough that when you swirl it, the swirl stays for a few seconds then collapses back into itself. If it's too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
They are both sticky rice but one is long grain and other is short grain. Long grain seems to make the donut a little more crisp. The short grain is more sticky and has a more sweet smell, Mochiko. Mochiko is also more coarse than the Erawan brand.
I used two glutinous rice flour (Erawan and Mochiko brand). They are both sweet rice flour/glutinous rice flour but are made from different rice (short and long grain) hence they are not exactly the same. Mochiko is slightly grainier, heavier, has more of a sweeter smell, and makes the dough slightly more sticky. You can still make this without it, just replace with the Erawan brand.
The mochi donuts are so expensive and yet they are so easy to make. Thank you for showing this video for us
My pleasure 😊

Perfect ❤

Hi what brand did you use for the chocolate milk?
The milk is not enough to form a dough. I added more 2/3 of warm milk. It actually works. Thanks
Awesome
What is sweet flour? Can we use just glutinous flour?
Yes you can.
What are they fried in?
Vegetable oil
Hi if I want to make matcha glaze do you have the recipe for it? Thanks.
Hi, try this to see if you like it.
1½ cup powdered sugar, sifted
½ teaspoon matcha powder
2½-3 tablespoons milk or coconut milk
Combine powdered sugar, matcha powder, and 1.5 tablespoons of milk. Add more milk, a splash at a time just until it's smooth enough to glaze. It should be thick enough that when you swirl it, the swirl stays for a few seconds then collapses back into itself. If it's too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
Thank you so much :)
Those two flours are not the same flour?? I always thought they were the swme

@@ZoeyandVFam where can I find the Mochiko flour?
@@Jsh-cf6ux Many Asian and American grocery store sells it. Walmart and Safeway.
What can I use if I'm not able to find Mochiko sweet rice flour?
Could i just use sweet rice flour if i have just that ?
Yes, absolutely but adjust the wet content as needed.
Did you get you sweet rice flour from Amazon or local Asian store?
Hi, I got it from the Asian store.
@@ZoeyandVFam thanks
Wait... isn't Glutinous rice flour the same as Sweet rice flour?!

@@ZoeyandVFam I couldn't find either of those brands. Mine is Assi brand sweet rice flour. Maybe it will work if I use 100% of that flour?
@@dreadfairy6963 I might work but you may need to adjust the water amount.
Yes
For me it came out really dense. I'm hoping yours were fluffy and if they were what's the best to get it that way?
Hi, sorry to hear yours were dense. Try kneading the dough a little longer next time.
@@ZoeyandVFam thanks ill give that a try
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Jelly-Filled Donuts on my page too and *your dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected! 😁
Thank you 😋
I made it but it doesn’t taste like donut. The donut was a bit hard and crispy. Sigh.
Hi, it taste different from regular donuts. It should be more chewy but should not be hard. Sorry yours didn’t turn out.
