The ego feels itself seperated and it suffers unconsciously. It looks for substitute satisfactions like money, power, status and fame which only feed the unconscious additionally. Consciousness recognizes egoism, but egoism is afraid of the unknown and has no idea of genuine consciousness. There is not even a thin line between them because the ego is fully connected with the unconscious. But of course it can seem that way to the outside world.

In fact all professions or trades whatever they may be should bring PRESENCE. Anyway I would like to say that IT IS absolutely TRUE, word for word. There must be a lot of different "presences" in your mind every moment. If you can manage to focus on all is well - then all is well - but maybe you can not manage to focus on all is well - and then you will not experince it. Then you will experience what your ego serves to you in that moment.

If you really see then you will know that nothing is done. Awareness doesn't do: it sees - you know that. And so being awareness one does not do. Things happen in awareness - that's different. Things being done implies a doer, doesn't it? So if you believe things are done, show me the doer. Thought, feeling, action through the body is not the doer but what you would call 'doing', only if there is no doer there is no doing, just a happening. You can't say it is the doer because who did them? Find out. If you think there is a doer just show me the doer. If the truth is fundamentally awareness then there can be no doer because awareness doesn't do, and everything happens in awareness, so nothing is done at all. And everyone is awareness and all the happenings within, so there is no doer on Earth, just happenings in awareness. The Earth and the Universe itself is a happening in awareness. For whom is this not so? For God? Is God not awareness? So everything does indeed just happen, and the attempt to do anything or try to get anywhere is always ever illusion and ignorance. And be clear who you are instructing and teaching, actually. It is the illusory self, the illusory doer, and you tell them what to do and what to think. If you stopped this instructing and teaching for long enough just to understand that all things just happen, that everything just happens, you might understand yourself a little more, and your predicament. If there is a doer inside you it's proof of illusion. If there is no doer inside you then you can never possibly change yourself, because you just effortlessly happen. All you can do is become aware of these happenings and this transforms them. It is not even quite correct to say that you gain in understanding because understanding itself is one of these happenings in awareness, but it is the thing that transforms first and foremost and radiates out to transform the others. For the understanding is of the heart, and the knowledge is of the mind. The understanding is what makes the love shine, as it is through this it understands itself and therefore the whole of life, because itself is the whole of life, so to have a realized mind without a realized heart is the clarity and peace of the mind only, not the light and love of the heart. And to have a realized mind and heart in a realized body is the event that will redeem the world. Alas, if there is any mental chakra that has been enlightened in the any of these so called teachers then it has not been joined with the fullness of light and love of an illuminated heart, and therefore does not have the love and compassion and true spiritual power that flows from it. When this spiritual power does manifest on the Earth, none of you will have a smile on your face because there being no doer, there is nothing that you could ever do to become like them. And your only hope is discovering and facing the truth of this now, because the truth is that we are evolving beyond all teachers and teachings, or else we are going nowhere at all. This goes for teacher and taught alike.
