There are 2 types of space suits:
IVA (intra-vehicular activity) and EVA (extra-vehicular activity) suits.
IVA suits are meant to be worn inside a pressurized spacecraft, and are therefore lighter and more comfortable. EVA suits are meant for use outside the spacecraft such as spacewalks or moon activity. They include more protection from the harsh conditions of space, such as protection from radiation, micrometeoroids and extreme temperature change.

actual space suits are not comfortable. they aren't even suits, they're like old diving suits but with an oxigen tank. it's pretty much impossible to move your arms and legs and rotate your head or your body in general. new space suits are more then welcome. also, doing that by depressurizing the entire capsule is extremely risky, and it requires to decompress the capsule after, it really needs test since it was performed only one time ever by gemini mission more than 50 years ago for only 20 min

I think it's worth noting this will also be an attempt to achieve the highest orbit of humans recorded, aiming for an altitude of 870 miles. The current record is 853. If successful the next missions will use Starship.
This is in a mission sense catching up to the experiments of the 60s and 70s. But that's a large point. For a few decades human space exploration has been delayed or stalled. It seems we're finally starting to pick up where we left off, and that the potential for human exploration of space is again going forward. It's not necessarily about doing something "new", but about starting where we left off with better technology and an exciting hope for the future. Everything is building up to attempting to go to Mars.

Seems to me a better solution would be to design a special "trunk" that can be detached, then flip the capsule, mate with the trunk, and use it as an airlock. In the future such trunks could also be used as airlock adapters for Russian type docking collars. Or even as mating collars for two of more space station modules.
