What a cursed competition for the last group. That death stare from Barbara still is iconic
One if the most iconic days in figure skating ever. Unforgotten! Drobiazko/Vanagas fell, Debreuil/Lauzon fell, Faiella/Scali fell, Fusar-Poli/Margalio fell.

@scook5599 ive wonder3e that for years... maybe just one of those rare nights where everyone made errors. The worst one for me was Debreuil. They were def in the hunt for a medal beforw the mistake and they didnt even get to perform the free dance. Shame.

Both Grushina and Navka were absolutely superlative ice dancers. They never really had partners that were up to their level though. Especially Grushina.

動画の補足説明しますね。
ユニバーサルジョイントは角度が付くと角速度の変化が有り、それを打ち消す為に位相を変えた２つを組み合わせて打ち消し、長さの変化はシャフトにスプラインを設けて調整します。
ただし殆ど角度変化のないプロペラシャフトにしか利用出来ません。
長さが短く上下移動が大きく角度が変わるドライブシャフトには基本的に採用出来ません。
ドライブシャフトには等速ジョイントを使います。
しかし耐久性とコストの問題で採用出来ませんでした。
FRがリジットだったのはタイヤの上下移動をデフも一緒に上下させて、長いプロペラシャフトで対応させていました。
デフがボディに固定しサスだけが上下する独立懸架は短いドライブシャフトになるので、ユニバーサルジョイントじゃなく、等速ジョイントが必要になります。
上級FRがセミトレ化しだしたのはコストに見合う等速ジョイントが開発出来たからです。
この時のコストによるヒエラルキーが独立懸架>リジットになってしました
ドライブシャフトのないFFのリアサスは要求性能を満たしていれば、スペース効率やコストなどで決定しているのですが、FR時代のヒエラルキーのままの人がこのコメント欄にも見られますね。
話はRRになりますが、タイヤの上下をデフも一緒に上下出来ませんよね。
デフと繋がってるミッションやエンジンも上下する事なるからです。
よってデフはボディ固定になり、タイヤの上下はサスで対応するしかないのです。
RRは独立懸架一択なんです。
この理屈を理解してなくて、FR時代のヒエラルキーが染み付いていると、60年代の軽なのに、独立懸架のリアサスすげ〜、金かかってると錯覚するのです。
独立懸架なのに等速ジョイントじゃなく、ユニバーサルジョイントかよ。
しかも2個セットが基本なのに1個で済ますなんて、コストダウンの為と言っても有り得ないほど低レベルが許された時代だったんだね。
ゴムカップリングはユニバーサルジョイントの弱点を誤魔化す為の苦肉の策です。
20馬力程度で数万キロ持てばOKの要求性能だから採用してます。
補足ですが、S600も独立懸架ですが、バイクのリアサスにジョイントないですよね。
バイクのリアサスを2台並べて間をドライブシャフトで繋がってる方式なので、ドライブシャフトにジョイントはありません。
キャロルはリアサス独立懸架でしかもユニバーサルジョイントまで採用してるの凄い的だったので、補足させていただきました。

На этой олимпиаде лучшие партнерши Навка и Грушина . Украинский дуэт должен был быть вторым , но как обычно американцы пропихнули своих . За то что итальянцами так необоснованно много поставили в обязательном танце и стали нагло тащих их поверх навки на 1 место , олимпийские боги показали кто лучший и достоин золота.
