- Just Listen...I know the timing of the slideshow isnt perfect but i think the pictures go well with the music...
I see some of you enjoy it...
This song is on Oakenfold's album:
"Another World"
Most people recognize it from the film "The Mist" but it's most powerful rendition was the 1992 documentary "Baraka", in the scene about poverty and homelessness.
that's exactly the first time I heard it ...
First time I heard it was at a rave in the early 2000's
@@noxiousnaomi9009 yeah you're lying
A guy named Grant told a lsd story with this song on background on youtube
Ron fricke seems to love it, at least the original version, in Samaria is also appears. And I'm not sure, is it not in koyaaniskatsi too?
I never thought Dead Can Dance could be techonized. This is the best of both worlds- a perfect union. This is a true musical oxymoron. I have been a big fan of both Dead Can Dance and Paul Oakenfold for years...it's like someone put their chocolate into my peanut butter!
Reese's masterpieces
Also hello from 15 years on
❤
There is not one time I hear this that I do not get the chills. Love this!
Trance at its peak. 💎
This is beautiful. He doesn't change it up too much, which is good because this is a great song. When I heard it in the Mist, it brought tears to my eyes. 3/5
I have never stepped foot a club and have never danced in my life, but I love this kind of thing. Lisa Gerrard's ethereal vocals behind a sick beat, what's not to love?
I just heard this song on the latest episode of how to get away with murder. It brought back memories to went I used to dance to this song at the club back in the day. I forgot how much I loved this song!!!!
Me 2 lol the good ole days
Me 3😂❤

This song is legendary. The time uploaded is shockingly now going on almost 2 decades old. Enjoy life while you have it. Time flys.
Such an old school track! I remember clubbing in NYC back in the days to this! Awesome!!!
still coming back to this song from time to time, one of the greatest
This remix is a staple in local raves a classic
Classic OAKEY!!!
just found this, i find it funny gen z kids are starting to circle back to trance like this. as a younger adult myself my parents were OBSESSED with this music and its like coming back in its own way. i love to see it
Miss you brother
Still remember you showed me the way
One Love ❤️
One of the first things I ever discovered on the Internet still a fav
great song... great music...
For the first minute or so, I thought this was going to a really good place...
This track did (origionally, at least, in the first year of its release) appear on Paul Oakenfold's "Perfecto Presents: Another World", a pre Bunkka release. The track appears right around Jan Johnston's song "Flesh" (another classic). I will say, however, this particular remix is different than the one that appeared on the album. Much faster paced, but still a great track and a good remix.
Absolutely! Much faster
Hector & Achilles are transfixed as we listen and watch. thank you for posting .
i would love to hear this at a rave.... at dawn.....
First time I heard it was n NYE Y2K on a radio 1 set, on Ecstasy. 🥴🤣
@@whyhastherumgonesam2 that's perfect! amazing!
@@tmwmh thank you! eleven years?! how did that happen?
I heard the original in 'the mist' Ann amazing movie
Ravers rock under the whitestone bridge was a portal I wish I can go back in
Addicted to this song help
fantastis voice and fantastic RMX
Oakenfold has done the best remix of this Lisa Gerrard piece, in my opinion. It shows just enough of her talent while showcasing his. They're both giants like that creature from the Mist.
For people into electronic music, this will be a truly wonderful mix. The tune develops beautifully and there is many layers to it.
On the other hand I can understand how Dead Can Dance fans might see this version as blasphemy.
I enjoy both electronic music and other genres including Dead Can Dance. Not all music will reward you in the same manner. They all need to be enjoyed in a certain way. ;)
Both versions have there merit and I am a fan of both
It moves me to tears and makes me realize all that is wrong is with the world-where do I begin???? I have followed Lisa and Cocteau twinsn since the 80's....Ugggh- now 40 hard to believe-don't feel it-but i CANNOT WORK another year in a cubicle!!! I will go POSTAL
For all who didnt know, this is and remix of "Dead can Dance - The host of seraphim" , and its good too, better that the original
i love dead can dance! their music just
exillerates my soul!
The drugs i have consumed over that song back then.... what an absolute anthem
I love the original too but this is great! i remember trying to dance to this in the 80's at goth clubs and it was way toooooo slow so this offers a new generation a great song to dance too! If you say you can't understand then don't try too!
this is nice.... its sound Psychedelic and yes with this remix you can dance with it and feel the true atmosphere and message that this music try to tell. Don't get me wrong the dead can dance original epic minimalist sound its great and powerful but you can just only feel it but can't dance to it.
Love this song! 5 stars!
Those were some cool pictures, some even went well with the song in a way.
love this version
yes!, been looking for this version for ages! thanks for posting!
Thanks for sharing this fantastic work...
Love this song! It's great!
Masterclass x ❤
Love it, obviously if you don't like techno, you won't like this.
This is actually Unity by Orkidea (from Finland). I'm pretty sure it's the original version and not an Oakenfold mix; this was done somewhere in the late 90´s. Love this tune.
dude i heard this on Steven Kings "The Mist" CRAZY fucking movie, loved it and love the song
the respect goes to dead can dance for this super beautyfull song!but the remix is also awesome!!its good to see Rmx, of the songs is another point of view, of any original songs:) enjoy;)
Музиката е чудесна и има ясно изразени български мотиви ! Поздрави на всички българи навсякъде по света !
nice song it goes to my favorite =)
I've been a Dead can Dance fan for years, actually I suprised myself when I found that I love this version. Paul Oakenfold has doe a very good job at taking a great track and doing something original with it.
good tune.i like the photos
Después de 5 años por fin encuentro esta música
I never did acid but when I listen to this stuff I think that my feelings are very close to that LSD shit ...... man that's a hell of a masterpiece
why is it that when people listen to trance the first thing out of their mouth is LSD or acid? This type of music is best listened to and more understandable without any use of drugs......... trust me I’ve been listening to this kind of music since I was 10 with no use of drugs in sight up til now and I’m 40 and still no use of drugs in any type and I still love trance music as it is....... just saying.
THE FIRST TIME I TOOK THE E PILL I WUZ LISTENING TO THIS BAD ASS SONG, THE BEST TRIP EVER!!!!!!!!!!
I've been collecting DCD for over 20 years and I totally approve of this remix. I love it. It's a very different take on the original track (which, of course, stands in a class of its own) and while it's not orthodox DCD-esque in flavor I really like it. I've heard some other remixes as well and some of them (though not all) are really nice too. =)
Wow! You've got some excellent shots in here! Thanks so much for posting!
Yep, I'm afraid I gotta agree with all the folks hating on the stutter-effect... that haunting ethereal smoothness is one of the most defining features of her voice! It's like taking the recipe for the sweetest cake imaginable and substituting the sugar with salt.
The slideshow was really nice however!
Pfff, always good to hear this oaky remis of "dead can dance"
taking something beautiful and putting a scent of hate behind it, isn't that what humans are good at?
This is great
This not a Paul Oakenfold record... Its called Unity by Orkidea (Antti Tapio Hakanen) a Scandinavian producer. It just samples Host of Seraphim by Dead Can Dance. And yes, it's a belter tune!
5/5, awesome!
never heard such a beautiful start, outstandin!
@SamOfTheSound I agree, there is no need to remix this amazing song, but I must admit, this is a very well executed remix. It still gives the original song justice, but simply morphing it into a different genre.
beautiful haunting song to begin with.. i love the vocals and the remix making it sound stuttered is bomb
awesome
This is not a "Paul Oakenfold Remix." This is Orkidea's tune Unity (1999).
i think it is the mist
in the end when they drive away is the beginning of this song.
yeh it actually should!, u dunno y someone put you as a thumbs down, i got this song and its dead can dance 4 sure xxx
very true i agree
COOOOL!
zekers een mega plaat goeie mix deze plaat ownt gewoon grtz
Thats release is for people who like trance music great mix
this is originally from a documentary called "Baraka" very very good film.
wooooooo....that's epic
one of my favorites
amazing music, thks :)
I head this track on some trance megamix (I don't remember) - and as I remember it was as at the begining (intro) - I loved this... but I didn't know the title, now I know :D beautiful track.
The original The Host of Seraphim you can hear at the movie "THE MIST"...I love this remix.
I
great song nice voice just crying thx for the upload :)
I 100% agree with you.
Perfect 👍
if it doesn't "float your boat" how about you don't listen to it!
This remix made us look for the original track and get to know more about music and at the same time enjoy a good time at a party, you can't do that with the original version...
Guys, this is not Oakenfold track. The track is made by finlands dj/producer Orkidea and it´s called Unity. It is taken from his album called Telka =) :=)
Loved this back in the day. If you like Oakenfold, check out his CD with Fatboy Slim.
Amo tanto esse réquiem para a humanidade
"Não da pra ouvir nada"
Smzinho : "que ouvir, ninguem escuta nada na guerra"
JUST PERFECT....
its all in the minddd
Wowowow
Nice pics and great song. In oryginal too.
I must agree with u on that.
The music is are justice
Gr8 song m8!

@futureboy00 sunetele astea tehno sau ce natie sunt pur si simplu nu se potrivesc cu melodia la origine este o melodie superba care imi da o anumita stare cand ascult aceasta varianta e un fel de apa de ploaie cu vanilie
i made some girl listen to this at about 12am while walking down a pitch black alley and she got proper freaked out lol, good times
Me encaaaanta🤩✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Hail Amroth!!!! ❤
My Husky and I running through Saks Fifth Avenue
amazing
Jaw of the gods.
you beauty!
Foarte bine zis.
this is a miracle!!!
I think I answered my own question. The very beginning of the song before the music starts is at the end of the movie The Mist. The chick is singing when the main characters leave in a truck.
We're all gonna make it brahs
FUUUUUUAAARK
I'm mirin
Veni Vidi Vici
This is very awesome and mesmerizing!!! A GREAT mix!!! THANKS for putting this up!!!!!
