Nice! This movie is actually my favorite of the franchise, and is probably the best out of the five in my opinion. It seems the most realistic(compared to the rest anyways) and serious, and has mostly good characters who mostly feel like real people. Not only that, but the soundtrack is great, and some of the deaths in this one really screwed me up when I first watched it lol. That lasik scene freaked me the hell out. What did you guys think about it compared to the others?
This movie was a big step up after the bad The Final Destination this movie have a lot of story and it gave us a new rule in how to cheat Death the movie known a lot more for it's shocking twist that it's a prequel.
At the plot twist of this movie I screamed "ALEX! 😭" when I saw him, that was a big surprise! Still, there's something I don't understand... in this movie the mysterious man said he had seen this before, and since this is a prequel... there's gotta be at least one group that we didn't saw, right? 🤔
@@SomethingCinema I know! I remember for some time I was wondering if the mysterious man had been trapped in a death cycle before, and somehow was able to survive.
My favorite movie from this franchise is FD3. As its pacing flows well and every characters arc; survival and eventual demise was done to completion within the movie(works best since the franchise as a whole wasn't succinct in continuing the pattern of following the storyline connection as 1 and 2 did. It would've been awesome had the character connectivity held throughout the entire franchise). Best, most understandable characters is FD2. Best lead is definitely FD1; he was the most proactive, direct and as rational as one can be in these irrational circumstance. I did enjoy that FD5 was a prequel. As it did what it could to explain that the groups progressively figure out and accept whats happening as the franchise goes on; from FD5->FD1->FD2. Explanation for why the main duos/trios go from not really understanding or having much consideration in FD5. To trying to grasp, but never really understanding nor accepting what's happening in FD1. To FD2 they go through reasonable responses yet are fully aware of their circumstance; besides a couple minor, yet significant details. While FD3 conveyed there's no way to truly _avoid_ the inevitable. Things play out however they will; life is best done lived. And yeah the opening scenario in FD4 should've been realistic and the characters weren't all too memorable, nor likeable.
My ranking best to worst is 1, 2, 5, 3, 4. Yeah, 2 had my favorite collection of characters, but 1 introduced the FD logic and Alex was easily the best protagonist. EDIT: Thanks for these reactions, btw! Final Destination is definitely one of the best film series where at least most of the films are entertaining.
Great list... Alex IS THE BEST!! And 4 out of 5 in a series is really good... we appreciate you watching the movie with us and we are glad you enjoyed it
I just want to say again, you guys make the best reactions to these videos and I look forward to seeing more of them, horror, action or science fiction. You guys have talent. I hope you keep reacting to more horror movies or anything. The Predator movies are a must, let alone the Alien movies too
Final Destination 5 is my favorite film of the Final Destination franchise. It was suspenseful, I liked the characters, the idea of killing someone so they can take your spot of death was smart and new, the bridge collapse was incredible and the deaths were very gory and disturbing but the best of it all was that the film was a surprised prequel to the original Final Destination film and the WHOLE franchise, making it come full circle and tying it all together. I give Final Destination 5 a 9/10. My rankings of the Final Destination films: 1. Final Destination 5 (2011) 2. Final Destination (2000) 3. Final Destination 3 (2006) 4. Final Destination 2 (2003) 5. The Final Destination (2009)
This movie definitely had a different vibe to it (the death buildups were great), which everybody loved, it was directed by different people too (the 1st and 3rd were directed by the same people and the 2nd and 4th directed by the same people (different than 1&3)). The climax scene in the restaurant murder attempt was something different, which was great and the characters felt the most fleshed out since the first one. Plus it brought back the Mortician Guy (the 4th movie is trash for also not having him or his voice at all lol), and had that awesome plot twist of it being a prequel.
I know I'm late but they actually recieve some clues about their deaths, the best example is Olivia, when she dropped the photo of the roller coaster you can see that the glass cracked right in her eye, in reference to the laser, and it being glass, due to her fall on the car.
The ending picture drawing round was fun to watch cheers Drew for that and Dallas rolling pins?? Haha you make me laugh. Love your content What's next in movie franchises ?
Love this movie. My favorite death of the entire series is the gymnast's. Loved the buildup and execution. I actually saw this movie several times in theatres (twice in 3D).
@@SomethingCinema There are some movies that don't benefit from being in 3D, but this one did. Both of the gymnast's death (opening scene and later) were really cool in 3D.
These movies r so good with suspense and foreshadowing. No matter how many times u watch it the beginning before ethe disaster is always so nerve racking.
I liked better when the mortician was cryptic, in this one he basically just told them what they needed to do. In the other ones he seemed like an advocate of death but in this he seems like a guy who's been through it himself
So sad that this is the end of the reaction for the franchise, but glad that this came out. Keep it up, guys. Hopefully, you'll continue the Friday the 13th franchise. Very excited for that if that's on the list
The best death scenes were in the 1st movie(Val Lewton's(the teacher who's house blew up)) is my personal favorite in the franchise, while the worst was the tanning booth scene from part 3.
There’s something satisfying about watching y’all react to movies. My family sits in silence, it’s awkward. I probably shouldn’t recommend any movies because you already have so many request. But I would definitely recommend the Evil Dead movies. They start as cheesy 80’s films. But the remake is considered to be “one of the best modern horror movies”. They’re a good time:)
Funny enough is that probably Death was trying to kill someone on that bridge from escaping a previous encounter and Sam got the premonition. It's a never ending cycle. Damn psychics always thwarting Death's plans.
The one thing I don't understand about the fan opinion on this movie is that it's the "dark, serious return to form that's more like the first two movies", but like, yeah the movie is a lot better than 3 and 4 but dark and serious? These death scenes are still absolutely crazy as Hell, it's hard for me to take people exploding into red goop seriously lmao. Great reaction as always, glad to revisit this weird ass series with you guys!
I just binged this whole series! I’m a massive fan of the series and would love to see y’all react to the Saw movies! Y’all are hilarious! ALSO, I’m not sure if anyone mentioned it in the comments yet, but Kimberly and the cop from FD2 actually do die but off screen. There’s a deleted scene on the FD3 DVD where a news paper article flies past the screen and you can see a story about how Kimberly and the cop met up by happenstance at a hardware store (the same one from 3) and they both slipped into a woodchipper 😅😅
Thanks for showing us some support! We actually have the saw movies on the list; but we are going to take a break from long franchises and get to some stand alone movies once we finish Friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street.
I think of this as a game between Life and Death. Life tries to survive, Death tries to kill. Death inevitably always wins, but Life continues trying. They both seem like conscious entities, who both step up their game as the series goes on. Death starts taking attempts to thwart it into account in the plans and acts faster, and Life starts sending more and more clear messages. Like for example, in FD2, the blond only died because they called her and warned her. And for my rankings, I'd say 2,5,1,3,4
Don’t worry, this type of laser can’t burn through your eye or skin even if there’s malfunction, it’s just not this type of laser (+it’s cold). Also for safety and comfort reasons there’s no water containers in the room, you won’t be left alone and your head won’t be strapped to the table/chair :) yeah, I did my research because I wanna have this procedure done too 😂
This one and the rollercoaster one is my favorite from the series. I like the pile up kills on the highway but the overall movie wasn't one of my favorites.
I got LASIK a few years ago, and it is totally safe. This movie exaggerated that whole process. There will always be multiple people in the room with you, and there is an emergency safety stop if something happens. So don't worry at all about getting the procedure done. Trust me. It's quick, simple, and painless.
Don't be afraid about the Lasik surgery. I have had eye surgery this past January due to macular degeneration in my left eye (I had the same surgery in my right eye 3 years ago) I will not know if it was successful or not for at least another 8 months. Just do as the doctor tells you about taking care of your eyes and you will be fine. How about giving Event Horizon (with Laurence Fishburne) or Supernova (with Angela Bassett) a try.
" I don't know if I can survive something like this at this stage in my workout career," 😂😂" wait she look like a pretzel "😂😂😂😂 girl u r too funny. I can't
The thing with FD5 is that there are clues but no one is looking for them. They didn't do any research the didn't try to save anyone except Olivia and they didn't even really try. All the others except FD4 had the research montage and they looked for clues.
I’m convinced the visions are death’s doing, just to fuck with people and get creative. Especially since there’s only been like 2 or 3 survivors. Every one else survives only to die in a final twist, in the next movie, or off screen between movies.
Add these to the list 1. The Faculty 2. Carrie (1976) 3. Cabin Fever 4. Drag Me To Hell 5. House Of 1,000 Corpse 6. Prom Night (1980) 7. Wrong Turn 8. Cry Wolf 9. 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later 10. Dead Silence
A lot of people seem to think the Daytona disaster was very random. This is footage of a famous fire that occurred live on TV in England. For context: the fire started with a lit cigarette and the primary material used to build the stands was wood. ua-cam.com/video/ctT8_LiD2cU/v-deo.html
My Final Destination Movies Ranking: 1. FD5 (I don't need to explain) 2. FD1 (Best Leads, great story, but not as great as FD5) 3. FD4 (Unpopular opinion. I find the deaths amazing and the movie pretty cool.) 4. FD2 (It's okay, I find the movie makes no sense) 5. FD3 (Boring. Pointless. My least favorite leads) My Visionaries Ranking: 1. Alex Browning (I don't need to explain) 2. Sam Lawton (Out of the Visionaries, he's the kindest) 3. Kimberly Corman (I enjoyed her relationship with Thomas Burke) 4. Nick O'Bannon (Unpopular opinion. He's the strongest visionary ever, that's why I like him) 5. Wendy Christensen (She's just a boring character. She mostly cry like 3 or 4 times. And she's overrated)
My favorite on screen couple is Spenser and Ashley from the TV show, "South of Nowhere." Also Lois Lane and Superman from almost any TV show/movie they're in(I don't include, "Smallville" and, "Man of Steel.")
During the ending scene on the plane, I instantly noticed like, wait was the first movie based from a plane, and so I paused it pulled up the first movies and sure enough this shit happened before the first movie even happens crazy how this shit works
FD5 is great and all. I just hate how we get teased on so many better ways that the deaths can go and the lamest ones turn out to be the outcome. But the overall story, characters and that ending def make it high on the ranking. Great reaction guys!
Answers to the questions : Ranking 1. FD2 2. FD 3. FD3 4. FD5 5. FD4 Best deaths : think FD2 had the best and brutal deaths (In my opinion) Worst death : All the deaths in FD4. I hate FD4. And just cause Favorite deaths : Elevator death scene (FD2), The girl that died from the nail gun (FD3), Tanning bed death scene (FD3), The eye surgery one (FD5),

The Meg (2018) And I think that's it for now. Stay safe you guys. Thanks.
The 3rd is still my favorite movie, but this is an extremely close 2nd favorite, mostly because of the twist at the end! I think the girlfriend got cheated. Not only that, but the soundtrack is great, and some of the deaths in this one really screwed me up when I first watched it lol. That lasik scene freaked me the hell out. What did you guys think about it compared to the others?
We gave our opinions of all of them at the end if you why to check that out
This movie was a big step up after the bad The Final Destination this movie have a lot of story and it gave us a new rule in how to cheat Death the movie known a lot more for it's shocking twist that it's a prequel.
Yeah it was a great pick up from the 4th one
The moment you said 'this might be a prequel' :-)
😉
At the plot twist of this movie I screamed "ALEX! 😭" when I saw him, that was a big surprise!
Still, there's something I don't understand... in this movie the mysterious man said he had seen this before, and since this is a prequel... there's gotta be at least one group that we didn't saw, right? 🤔
*Drew Talking* ... I CAUGHT THAT WHEN I WAS EDITING LAST NIGHT... that very interesting 🤔
yes it’s true, i don’t think you may have known this but the movies were based on a novels with the same name it explains it there i think.
REALLY!?!?! That's a great fun fact... didn't know they were books
@@testosterone912 I have to read them now! :0
@@SomethingCinema I know! I remember for some time I was wondering if the mysterious man had been trapped in a death cycle before, and somehow was able to survive.
28:15 that reaction had me rolling!! “She looked like a pretzel!” 😆
🤣🤣
Great comment... glad you talked with us and gave us your thoughts on the franchise... we appreciate it 💛💚💙❤
❤️❤️ Yesss I love this channel along w y’all reactions and lil jokes 😭😭 and this my favorite final destination !!
Thank you for watching it with us... we are glad you enjoyed it
My ranking best to worst is 1, 2, 5, 3, 4.
And 4 out of 5 in a series is really good... we appreciate you watching the movie with us and we are glad you enjoyed it
Like how the black guy survived till the end...remember try to check out the original "Poltergeist"
Right... all the way to the end just to die
Lmao🤣yall said "she didnt even break a leg, she just died"🤣I'm sleep
😂😂😂 she was... just dead like damn 😂😂😂
"Multiple streams of death" is hands-down the best description of literally any given scene in the FD franchise! XD
That's a really good description of it
I just want to say again, you guys make the best reactions to these videos and I look forward to seeing more of them, horror, action or science fiction. You guys have talent. I hope you keep reacting to more horror movies or anything. The Predator movies are a must, let alone the Alien movies too
Thank you... we appreciate it the kind words... we also added your movie to the list
My rankings of the Final Destination films:
1. Final Destination 5 (2011)
2. Final Destination (2000)
3. Final Destination 3 (2006)
4. Final Destination 2 (2003)
5. The Final Destination (2009)
That's a good list
This movie definitely had a different vibe to it (the death buildups were great), which everybody loved, it was directed by different people too (the 1st and 3rd were directed by the same people and the 2nd and 4th directed by the same people (different than 1&3)).
The climax scene in the restaurant murder attempt was something different, which was great and the characters felt the most fleshed out since the first one. Plus it brought back the Mortician Guy (the 4th movie is trash for also not having him or his voice at all lol), and had that awesome plot twist of it being a prequel.
We agree with everything you said... they went back to what made the franchise great after the 4th movie
I know I'm late but they actually recieve some clues about their deaths, the best example is Olivia, when she dropped the photo of the roller coaster you can see that the glass cracked right in her eye, in reference to the laser, and it being glass, due to her fall on the car.
Yeah we caught that the 2nd time watching
LOL..Dallas is very funny and silly!!...She Had Me Laughing About The Bridge Scene...😆..The WHOLE Bridge Scene.
😂 she is pure entertainment 😂
Time for y’all to react to all 4 Scary movies. It won’t have you as shook as Final destination did cause there’s comedic relief in them 😂

Love this movie. My favorite death of the entire series is the gymnast's. Loved the buildup and execution. I actually saw this movie several times in theatres (twice in 3D).
THAT SCENE WAS CRAZY!!! was it better in 3D??
@@SomethingCinema There are some movies that don't benefit from being in 3D, but this one did. Both of the gymnast's death (opening scene and later) were really cool in 3D.
That's 🔥🔥.. would've been nice to see the in 3D

I liked better when the mortician was cryptic, in this one he basically just told them what they needed to do. In the other ones he seemed like an advocate of death but in this he seems like a guy who's been through it himself
Good point... yeah we liked him in the other ones more
So sad that this is the end of the reaction for the franchise, but glad that this came out.

Those are all really good ones.

"Kill or be killed"- Candyman/Tony Todd

There’s something satisfying about watching y’all react to movies. My family sits in silence, it’s awkward. I probably shouldn’t recommend any movies because you already have so many request. But I would definitely recommend the Evil Dead movies. They start as cheesy 80’s films. But the remake is considered to be “one of the best modern horror movies”. They’re a good time:)

Funny enough is that probably Death was trying to kill someone on that bridge from escaping a previous encounter and Sam got the premonition. It's a never ending cycle. Damn psychics always thwarting Death's plans.
That's very true
The one thing I don't understand about the fan opinion on this movie is that it's the "dark, serious return to form that's more like the first two movies", but like, yeah the movie is a lot better than 3 and 4 but dark and serious? These death scenes are still absolutely crazy as Hell, it's hard for me to take people exploding into red goop seriously lmao.
Great reaction as always, glad to revisit this weird ass series with you guys!
We are glad you watched it with us too... we appreciate it... thank you 🙏

Loved that Drew figured out it was a prequel halfway through the movie...Cuz i'm not gonna lie, the rest of us were SHOCKED at that ending🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤣🤣
@@SomethingCinema I’ll check those out! :)))

Thank you Adan... we appreciate the love and support... we hope you enjoy the video
“What kind of glass y’all got?!”
Thank you!!
You're welcome 💛💚💙❤
I think of this as a game between Life and Death. Life tries to survive, Death tries to kill. Death inevitably always wins, but Life continues trying. They both seem like conscious entities, who both step up their game as the series goes on. Death starts taking attempts to thwart it into account in the plans and acts faster, and Life starts sending more and more clear messages. Like for example, in FD2, the blond only died because they called her and warned her.
And for my rankings, I'd say 2,5,1,3,4
That's a interesting way to think about it
That one guy at the massage place definitely didn't get no happy ending 🤣🤣
He got the complete opposite lol
So I saw something about that bridge scene: The bus fell last post-premonition.
🤔🤔
Don’t worry, this type of laser can’t burn through your eye or skin even if there’s malfunction, it’s just not this type of laser (+it’s cold). Also for safety and comfort reasons there’s no water containers in the room, you won’t be left alone and your head won’t be strapped to the table/chair :) yeah, I did my research because I wanna have this procedure done too 😂
😂😂 thanks because we were worried
This one and the rollercoaster one is my favorite from the series. I like the pile up kills on the highway but the overall movie wasn't one of my favorites.
The 2 you picked were really crazy... those openers had us not wanted to leave the house lol
I got LASIK a few years ago, and it is totally safe. This movie exaggerated that whole process. There will always be multiple people in the room with you, and there is an emergency safety stop if something happens. So don't worry at all about getting the procedure done. Trust me. It's quick, simple, and painless.
The movie for sure exaggerated it lol
Don't be afraid about the Lasik surgery. I have had eye surgery this past January due to macular degeneration in my left eye (I had the same surgery in my right eye 3 years ago) I will not know if it was successful or not for at least another 8 months. Just do as the doctor tells you about taking care of your eyes and you will be fine. How about giving Event Horizon (with Laurence Fishburne) or Supernova (with Angela Bassett) a try.
Yeah we did not like that scene lol
This is arguably the best film in the series, it had the best group of characters and the scariest of the visions.
And yes the chubby guy sucks but he's suppose to, you need one shitty character, unlike 3 and 4 where all of the characters were shitty.
We all agree 4 was the worst one lol
Funny you mentioned Tom Cruise, that actor, Miles Fisher actually played Tom Cruise in a parody movie (Superhero Movie).
😂😂😂
He also made a "Save by the Bell" parody with all of the actors from this movie, in a Final Destination-style.
That's 🔥🔥
Didn't That dude also actor in the babysitter movie?
Did he really!?!
That gymnastics that fucked me up for years
😂😂
" I don't know if I can survive something like this at this stage in my workout career," 😂😂" wait she look like a pretzel "😂😂😂😂 girl u r too funny. I can't
😂😂😂
The thing with FD5 is that there are clues but no one is looking for them. They didn't do any research the didn't try to save anyone except Olivia and they didn't even really try. All the others except FD4 had the research montage and they looked for clues.
Yeah there are a lot of clues
I’m convinced the visions are death’s doing, just to fuck with people and get creative. Especially since there’s only been like 2 or 3 survivors. Every one else survives only to die in a final twist, in the next movie, or off screen between movies.
We heard in the DVD version of one of the movies... they said that everyone from the 2nd one dies
Kimberly and Officer Burke were supposed to appear on the subway at the end of the third movie but couldn’t make it due to scheduling conflicts.
