The turquoise looks by far the best! I prefer fountain pens over regular pens because regular pens offer very little resistance when writing and therefore they fuck up my handwriting. Are the space pens more like a regular pen or more like a fountain pen?
I know this is four months late buy hey never late than never. I'm also a fountain pen fan BUT I love Fischer pens. Obviously you will never be able to find the smoothness of a premium fountain pen in a ballpoint...but this is pretty darn close. Great for when you are traveling and don't want your ink to unload inside the plane lol
@@Eugeneden2010 well, let me return the favor and reply to you three years late because somehow your reply never arrived in my notifications for some reason and if there hadn’t been another reply from someone else today, I probably would have never seen it. Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it! 🙂

Thank you so much for your effort! I like to write with a fountain pen and sepia ink. I‘ll give the brown one a try. Do you know Swiza? These knives lock in place, to release the blade, you have to push the Swiss cross down. As a kid I cut myself a few times with the classic army knives because of a missing lock. Greetings from Switzerland.
I'm lefthanded and for me to watch out for are fountain pen ink that takes too long to dry I use both capless fountain pen and Modern fuel 2.0 with a fisher space pen in it
Very nice and illustrative, but I am wondering with the outcome if there would be a difference in perception if you would “trick” the brain. If you write “red” with a red pen/ink, do we READ the color (as it clearly says: red) or do we SEE the color? Next time in a similar test it would be interesting if you could write the name of the color “wrongly” on purpose. For example write RED but with a blue ink. (Although a common phrase written in all colors would probably do the trick nicely as well)
Excellent video! I’m more of a fountain pen guy, but ventured into the fisher turquoise to refill the ballpoint I use to write checks. It can be a little skippy at times. Has that also been your experience, and any tips/workaround suggestions to avoid this? I keep my one ballpoint temperature controlled and avoid having it outside in the cold. The color is crazy beautiful, so I’m not looking to change color.
A year late, but as with other ballpoints, sometimes you have to roll the ball around. Just draw figure 8s until the ink flows smoothly. As for temperature, Fisher claims Space Pens are good for -30 to +250 F.
@@SnakebitSTI Thanks for the reply. And do you find this consistent no matter the color. Or is turquoise more prone to needing this approach? Just curious.
@@rztour I've never paid attention to that to be honest. There could be a difference or not, and I've only used black, blue, and turquoise. I think of Space Pens as extremely reliable though.
I am curious as to why you asked if a left handed person would have trouble with the refills. They are pen refills and what hand a person writes with has nothing to do with them.
To answer your question: in languages like English that are written left to right, the left hand moving over the just-written words can smear some inks. Quicker drying inks prevent this problem.
. Thanks for the video ! I have two bullet Fisher Space pens, one in blue colour and the other one in black, and I love both of them. I find black ink of Fisher Space refills is darker than the black ink of other prestigious pen brands, because these ones are of a grey black, not an authentic black ink. .
Hi Yoshi, I have no problem with the blue color of my bullet. It's the same since I bought it, and I use it very often. It also depends on how you protect it, in order it can't be scratched or damaged. I always carry it in a pouch made of leather of the same brand, and of the same size of the bullet when I put it in my pocket. I like it, the blue color is dark and nice.
vedant adhau I have had the same Fisher cartridge in my pen for over 3 years. I’m an insurance agent so I write with it very frequently through the week. Mine is still going strong.
Thanks for another reason. I have just learnt that I can use a fisher refill in a Parker jotter pen. So I'll go for a refill instead of a whole fisher pen.
Actually all the colors are disappointing, except, Black, Blue and Turquoise. It may have to do with the pigments they are using for the required temperature range.
It's a matter of expectations. If you're used to fountain pen inks, the selection is bad. If you're used to disposable Bics, the fact that there's more than black, blue, and red likely counts as a plus.
Any of them can scratch. I scratched my plain chrome one plenty. Any of the plain metallic options are pretty resistant to to chips (as there is nothing to chip). Most of the colored ones are either a matte type color or a more smooth, slick color. It is kind of tough to describe. The matte ones survive better than the slick ones, but the pure metallic ones survive best of all.
Yours is the only review with this many colors. It would have been more informative if you could have indicated the tip size ( medium, fine, etc.). Great review.
Are the points on the cartridges fine or medium point? I had a issue with Parker Jotter stainless steel and Fisher replacement cartridges from it sticking sometimes when I click it but I seemed to figured out a fix for it. I put a little model glue inside the adapter that Fisher supplied and put it back on the replacement cartridge let it dry a few hours and your troubles are fixed. Thank you for your review and have a safe one.
The cartridges I had were the medium point ones. Thank you for the info. I didn't have that problem, but it is good to know if I run into it, it is an easy fix. Thank you. :)
No dude , I think you covered it pretty solid. I know more about color refills for the fisher space pan that I could have imagined when I woke up this morning. Fisher Space Pen writes fantastic,. What a great conversation started also. Now get out here you fricking slacker!!
I don't know. I know that there is an adapter for the fisher refills (the little plastic thing that comes with them) to make them fit Parker pens. I don't know of any refills that go the other way. There could definitely be ones that would work, but I haven't run across them.

Yeah. I like the EnerGel Green better. If you are into fountain pens, I have really liked the Diamine Ultra Green a lot. I personally tend to prefer a dark and vibrant green (if that makes sense).
Never heard this before that it comes with so many colors. Thanks for the video.

Does the ink work forever (30 miles) for bullet pen? Or is it the infinium pen? I am a bit confused between the two.
The Infinium is the one supposed to last 80 years. The normal bullet space pens do last for a while, just no where near that long. :)

I'm a lefty, no issues! But I've learned to write with the pen in front of my hand so I don't smudge
That's good to know. I know there are certain inks that are awful for lefties.
Is the parker adapter all ways included?
I would assume so. All of the packaged refills I've purchased have had them.
In that size, it's always included. But with the Cross type cartridge, it's not included.
Thanks for another reason. I have just learnt that I can use a fisher refill in a Parker jotter pen. So I'll go for a refill instead of a whole fisher pen.

There are a lot of pens that take the Fisher refills, so you have a bunch of options even beyond just the Parker Jotters.
