I am a Philly chick and my old college sweetheart is from "The Lou". My first time eating "smoked pork chops" was in STL. So y'all ate certain foods I hadn't eaten before. Lol. I have been to East St. Louis in the 90s. I went to a club called "Max's " I had a blast. My college sweetheart was my bodyguard and made sure I was safe. My maternal grandparents are from the Low Country of South Carolina. My mother eats chicken feet, cow tongue, cow foot soup, souse, turkey necks, chitterlings, hog maws, etc,. She introduced those foods to us as children. I don't eat most of those foods now, but I have always been an adventurous eater. When I travel, I connect with the locals through eating the food. I enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work!

Good interview, brothers. It was good hanging out with Sbu a couple months back in Fourways. I really need to get connected to other AA in SAs since I’ve been living here for 9 months. Moving to SA has been one of the best decisions of my life! Blessings, brothers!
The influx of certain migrants though, not good at all. We're happy with AA. Thank you for loving SA and respecting it. Was almost in tears when I went to the city centre the other day. It's Mogadishu, Lagos and Pakistan all in one
So profound what Sbu said. Black Americans created Blues, Rock, Soul, Jazz and Hip Hop and us South Africans have borrowed all of that from them over the past 100 years but they never said no you cant but we want to tell people that they shouldnt use amapapiano. Its illogical. Flourish Sbu. Our giants like Hough Masekele and Miriam Makheba were schooled in the states and came back with black american culture and music so why do we complain.

You the issue of food as an African i can really understand why you wouldn't eat all the parts of an animal that have meat on them. I read one international food report that the USA slaughters about 33 million cattle per year and that 75% of the livers are shipped to Egypt. So it means liver is very expensive in the US because Egyptians buy that in large quantities.
