Unfortunately late to the party with this band. They are all amazing musicians but she is just fucking incredible. Can't take your eyes off her. Absolutely stunning vocals and stage presence. Hoping they continue to make music in the future.
I FALL IN LOVE EVERY TIME I HEAR THEIR SOUND PERMEATE THE AIR. THEY ARE LIKE NO OTHER MUSICIANS & I APPRECIATE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS MOST HIGHLY. PASS ON THE ETHEREAL VIBRATIONS
I think I am supposed to have her talent. I am just saying when I sing and I dont sound like Nai Palm I am terribly confused. This band is ear magic!!!!
I love learning from what she does with her voice and lungs, trying to play mimic. But what really strikes me is that she is so wondrous because she talks about authenticity and freedom, and she helped me find my own voice.
***** I'm almost all the songs floating around will be on the new album. Nai says in an interview from November, "There’s also a song about that sense of wonder in gaming, because I grew up in a family of four brothers, with Atari and Sega," so I'm assuming that's Atari. The studio version of By Fire also uses some of the same chiptune sounds, which is cool.
Yeah I'm hoping Atari, Fingerprints, and Borderline will be on the new album. It would be cool also to get a studio version of Shaolin Monk Motherfunk as well!
It's an Indian drum called Dhol. I was surprised to see him using it here. It's generally used in a COMPLETELY different context. Search for 'bhangra' and you will see what I am talkin about.
Sorry but no, it's a traditional Argentine bass drum called "bombo legüero". Google it! Is used in our folk music. I loved listening to it in this style.
That instrument does look similar to the dhol. But here's an article which talks about what I said. :) rollingstoneindia.com/hiatus-kaiyote-nai-palm-pressure-to-write-pop-shit-get-boob-job/
I like these guys, but sometimes I feel like I’m listening to the same song. Which is not a bad thing, but it’s somewhat surprising given that they have a striking and fresh pop sound on initial encounter.
Dude. This is a mimic of Faith Evans. Mimicking Faith Evans. Mimicking Faith Evans. Faith Evans Faith Evans Faith Evans....... Oh, and they are jacking Faith Evans style.
starwarsnerd79 boull shit. Not only that but the music is jacking Dangelo and Robert Glasper wit a bit of thievery fro James Posyner...etc. i can go on ya know.
Robert Glasper and the Roots/Questlove are fans of HK. Google "Robert Glasper Hiatus Kaiyote". Also google "Badu and Nai Palm - same tribe". HK/Nai Palm have many influences that they are very open about, from Stevie Wonder, Dilla and Chaka Khan to Bjork, Japanese and Indian music, Jeff Buckley, Little Dragon, etc. - Little Dragon now has a collaboration out with Faith Evans btw. All these artists respect, recognize, influence eachother.
@@fermgrip371 Wow man nah these guys are good, they're passionate, serious and love what they do, they ain't jacking anybody, they respecting loads but doing their own style....and very very well imho
Perrin Moss could tap plastic forks on a piece of driftwood and it would still be good.
I am obsessed with this band!

Bad audio quality :'(
Seriously that's your take on this? Who cares about the 'quality'....I feel like I'm there...lovely stuff.
Sexxy! I swear🔥

Extremely bad audio quality. :(
True still enjoyed
And it's ok...their awesomeness cannot be dumbed down even by audio quality.
Wow man glass half full or empty? Hope you got some joy at least from this, imho, beautiful performance.
Too much music for a shitty audio. This should be forbidden
Dude. This is a mimic of Faith Evans. Mimicking Faith Evans. Mimicking Faith Evans. Faith Evans Faith Evans Faith Evans....... Oh, and they are jacking Faith Evans style.
Ferm Grip ... Not even remotely close.
