Hello. Beeing a Sporting fan that sees all Sporting games I have to warning you, United supporters, that Amorim is a long-term project. The real thing what we should be looking at is how sporting got beat 5-0 then through being backed ended up with a 4-1 win, the quality of the manager is always there but it's the backing that's made the difference. He's coming and starting from the beginning like he did when he got beat 5-0 inios have to be brave not so much in who they bring in but in who they get shut of
In the season Sporting got 0-5 from City they had to sell previously some key players and finished fourth in the Portuguese league. Amorim went on to rebuild the team with kids from the formation (CR7 and Figo were their best success stories in the past) and some good "cheap" shopping and became champions again the next season.
Look at villa to see what buy in does... obviously he brings a level of tactial knowledge but... the ability to commjnicate it to players and make them buy jn is the thing that really has made it work for emery
Well tbf when we were going to get ten hag he didn’t just beat city 4-1 and also the ten hag we were expecting and the one we got were two completely different people, as long as Amorim doesn’t let the players walk all over him he’ll be fine

Are we not allowed to analyse a manager and speak on what we've seen from them before they join the club? Should people not watch and predict what a manager will do at United?
yes, Amourin's tactics and the players buy-in did make a difference, however, the match was not a piece of cake for Sporting, City had their chances and thankfully they didn't capitalize on the opportunities afforded them, otherwise it would have been a closer game than you think it was. City was not playing at their usual best, missing clear chances and just didn't quite get their game together, which worked out for Sporting. What worked out for Sporting was, the chances that Amourin's tactics probably allowed them, the sporting players capitalized on them and converted them to goals.
@anthonyboey3210 you are talking about City missed all chances and discredited the hard work of Sporting's goal keeper he is an unfair for SPORTING. He stopped all shoots at Target. Didn't he? I didn't see shoots off target by City players. Give credit to where credit is due. It was overall great hard work from SPORTING players. And the keeper saved us in the first half. Thank god. He just did his job well done!
@@celsojorgesaraivadossantos7917 I am not in disagreement with the fact that Sporting did a good job to eventually win the game. And for the record, I do not like Man City and am glad that a team like sporting beat them and teach them a lesson on humility. And yes, the sporting goalkeeper did a great job to keep sporting in the game. However, my point really was, the game was not like Man City did a super bad job , they had many goal scoring chances and they missed them. If they had converted on the 2-3 goal chances, the game might not have ended the way it did.
I am from Portugal (and a Benfica fan)... I agree with what you are saying specialy the 100% commitment buy the team... But is has a solid syatem and he will probably have some more creative was with top players... but he also is great with the young players that come from formation.... and you need some identity (remember the great players you had... Beckan...)... just give the guy some time
After last night’s performance, Amorim has just exerted pressure on his project at United, and more on United squad. These guys have nowhere to hide now, this will expose the frauds and the contenders. If he will persists with such workmanlike performances, the system on its own will weed out those that come up short. He shouldn’t surrender his principles and his metrics will do the sorting for him. Excited but cautiously optimistic 😂
I'm a Benfica fan, but I totally agree. Sporting has an excellent academy and their decision to have all teams (from the under-10 to the main squad) adopt the same system and tactics has made academy players from Sporting far easier to integrate. If you train someone for 8 years with the same routines, positioning, tasks, etc, even if they're not brilliant, they still know what to do in the pitch.
Let's not forget, Erica outsmarted or at least, played a tactical approach and WON in the FA cup. I hope this new manager is able to manage as he wants, instinctively and then, maybe then he might do great things.
Amorin made sporting a UNIT and remember Viktor Gyökeres was from Coventry..let that sink in. Amorin has a uphill task with our current players for sure. I hope amorin deploys our academy players thru the ranks like he did with sporting.
Remember no top coach uses a back 3 in the prem. Its the most intense league in the world. The amount of energy required and space left behind is crazy. If that fails, he'd have to do what ten hah had to do and adapt to the players, then it won't be good
It doesn't have to be a right wing back-left footed player, it cann also be a left wing back- right footed: which we already have two: dalot and mazroui.
@@Dmaj089 lol 2.5 years, you think amorim is going to be able to accomplish anything in just 2.5 years? That's his contract, like I said a decade of failures shows it will still be the same, nothing will change
@kkb8510 how you know? You a prophet or something? Nobody knew Flick would overturn Barcelona like that after multiple years of failure and not being the team it was. A manager, as much as he has tactics also gives the mentality to these players. Amorim can tick both boxes, so he could be successful
Never forget ETH outclassed Pep in the FA cup final, blocking City's midfield. Thats what Amorim did. Every coach is good until he comes to Man United.
Similar to ole tactics when we defeated city actually. But what caught my attention is Amorim's passion and communication skills throughout the game which ETH totally lacks
I’m happy to see what’s their name lose at any time. But whilst I acknowledge that the half time tweak worked well in the second half, let’s not lose sight of the detail that what’s their names have the same number of first squad injuries as we had last season, so this isn’t their best team. Still good to see them get smacked though.👍🏻
Amorim should try this season with the likes of Hojlund and Zirkzee. If it deosn't work out, we should buy Victor before he goes to Arsenal. Diomande is a must buy because of his age and quality. Hjulmand is a future Casemiro/Eriksen replacement
I watch this guys covering distance more than city 82.22 while city was 81.18 so the covered more distance tgey went for the ball never give spaces for city to exploit but in man united will this same player's who made previous managers look like they dont know anything willingly player for amorin
The best of tactics can be given, it will only work if the players have a buy in. Many times/games should have been won under TenHag but the players. Look at how they played against Fernabache, a game after TenHag had just left. Makes matters worse, all injured players are coming back after TenHag had gone. Says a lot about the players
I saw RA's PPC ... The man himself said he merely told his boys to play with more intensity no tactical tweaks and his team was lucky. This what he said .... We really should calm down😂😂😂
Sam, another solid video but I will like to disagree with you on the it’s not about tactics. Hard work is as important as tactics. Imagine if there was no tactical twitch at half time? I like to disagree with the common opinion that this current United players don’t work hard enough. I know the kind of energy that’s required to play the kind of chaotic unorthodox football we played last season. The energy it takes for Dalot to run the length of the pitch hoping for a good bounce in his favor. How many times do we have to see our players running at top speed trying to cover the spaces in behind. In as much as I think the 600m spend in the last 3 summers as left us with a more weaker side, but what I do appreciate about this current team is that they work hard. Hopefully, Amorim can get the players to stop playing the heroic football that has been necessary for them to be in the team sheet on a weekly basis. What was required for you to be a starter next game week was a goal or an average good performance as an individual and not as a team.
ETH outsmarted Guardiola too you know, and Guardiola had a better squad in the final, but United players doesnt have the same mentality, they are ok with loosing.
It was obvious the city were in control of the midfield the players of sporting should have been smart enough to see that for them selves and made the adjustment and the managers should have seen that very early and told one of the forwards to drop in to the midfield why wait till the second half. City could have been out of site by half time.
Believe you me.. the problem is the man utd current players, Rasford had played under 6 manager overall since Mourinho. If you are Liv-City-Arsenal manager, How many man utd players will pick in your 1st eleven.?
Thats the problem of the MU fans. You want everything "now". The best thing that happens to you was this "waiting". Amorim will start training at the FIFA's pause having 2 weeks to know the MU players, the strongs and weeknesses of all of them. And with this Sporting winning, imagine how exciting MU players must be now!! The mood of players can be a game change. Can you imagine how dissapointed players would be if Amorim went to MU without knowing the players and be beated by Chelsea on the first match?? Amorim already change MU managment before he already strated!! And MU fans didn't noticed!! 😂 Now MU have a plan. Stay with the plan as Sporting did and you will fight for history.
As a United fan, I would get rid of 70% of our squad and bring in those Sporting players. Players who play for the badge and are there for the club. This is what is lacking at United and has for a very long time.

Really excited for Amorim to take a new look at the squad, especially the academy players on the way
Domination! 🤣
4 Years of work , Quenda 17 years old , only this year on A team ,Amorim push hard for the players, they always give more on the game
Look at villa to see what buy in does... obviously he brings a level of tactial knowledge but... the ability to commjnicate it to players and make them buy jn is the thing that really has made it work for emery
I really can’t see many of this first team being there next season it’s hard to see how they will adapt mentally to Amorims style
Excellent presentation 😊
This is how you gassed us up when tenHag was about to take charge of United
Well tbf when we were going to get ten hag he didn’t just beat city 4-1 and also the ten hag we were expecting and the one we got were two completely different people, as long as Amorim doesn’t let the players walk all over him he’ll be fine
Thank u very much and at least it was all ten hag fault and he doesn't have tactics... I keep saying this man united players can and should never be trusted
@@jmdyt3626yeah ETH only beat Real Madrid with Ajax and now he is considered a clown of a manager.
Are we not allowed to analyse a manager and speak on what we've seen from them before they join the club? Should people not watch and predict what a manager will do at United?
@ I’m just saying when you are getting a manager you have to judge them off what they’ve done recently, and in the last 45 mins Amorim dominated city
yes, Amourin's tactics and the players buy-in did make a difference, however, the match was not a piece of cake for Sporting, City had their chances and thankfully they didn't capitalize on the opportunities afforded them, otherwise it would have been a closer game than you think it was.
What Ineos really needs to do is buy Sporting and make them part of our multi-club model lol
@@JorgeCanela But didn't Amorim bring this style of play?
Sporting is not for sale
@@reversekapel3582 Everything is for the right price
Let's not forget, Erica outsmarted or at least, played a tactical approach and WON in the FA cup.
I hope this new manager is able to manage as he wants, instinctively and then, maybe then he might do great things.
Antony suits perfectly for what Amorim wants from his wingback
Amorin made sporting a UNIT and remember Viktor Gyökeres was from Coventry..let that sink in. Amorin has a uphill task with our current players for sure. I hope amorin deploys our academy players thru the ranks like he did with sporting.
Remember no top coach uses a back 3 in the prem. Its the most intense league in the world. The amount of energy required and space left behind is crazy. If that fails, he'd have to do what ten hah had to do and adapt to the players, then it won't be good
I like this guy a lot lot more than ten hag I was against him from the start
United players shd be ready to run if not they're out
He is playing mind games and rightly so, we will use the tactics. He cannot go out and say it.
If all the goals were from open play then yes i would have been really impressed. But still credit to Sporting.
I know one thing that is I will trust him❤
It doesn't have to be a right wing back-left footed player, it cann also be a left wing back- right footed: which we already have two: dalot and mazroui.
Hope Manchester united don’t spoil this man reputation
History says that is what will happen
@@kkb8510history changes. Every club has such periods, stop acting smart
We won't. This time, it could actually work
@@Dmaj089 lol 2.5 years, you think amorim is going to be able to accomplish anything in just 2.5 years? That's his contract, like I said a decade of failures shows it will still be the same, nothing will change
@kkb8510 how you know? You a prophet or something? Nobody knew Flick would overturn Barcelona like that after multiple years of failure and not being the team it was. A manager, as much as he has tactics also gives the mentality to these players. Amorim can tick both boxes, so he could be successful
Never forget ETH outclassed Pep in the FA cup final, blocking City's midfield. Thats what Amorim did. Every coach is good until he comes to Man United.
enjoyed the game
Højlund and Gyökeres would be a fantastic duo at Utd, I hope we sign Gyökeres in the near future!!!.
on paper they have the perfect 5 year age gap. gyokeres 26, hojlund 21, obi martin 16. the now, the future and the youth.
I love this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gonna be funny as hell lol
I watch this guys covering distance more than city 82.22 while city was 81.18 so the covered more distance tgey went for the ball never give spaces for city to exploit but in man united will this same player's who made previous managers look like they dont know anything willingly player for amorin
"TIN TIN" wha gwan BRUV lol
The best of tactics can be given, it will only work if the players have a buy in.
Many times/games should have been won under TenHag but the players. Look at how they played against Fernabache, a game after TenHag had just left.
Makes matters worse, all injured players are coming back after TenHag had gone. Says a lot about the players
This is probably the last game in UCL forever for ruben amorim
Man united is a different kind of fish hope he can drive these players to such elite levels
Antony gonna be fantastic
Antony RWB era 🥂
I saw RA's PPC ... The man himself said he merely told his boys to play with more intensity no tactical tweaks and his team was lucky. This what he said .... We really should calm down😂😂😂
Sam was arguing with his inner self if Anthony can play that role of Kwenda😅
Antony for RWB role perfect
Right
Antony out of MUFC is perfect
If his tactics help create space in behind with balls over the top bypassing the midfield, Rashford could defo benefit from it!
So true this.
Everyone's getting carried away city in the first 30 mins should have been 3 or 4 up. After that than it was sporting all the way
If players put there foot to ground and run for this man then we will see changes
Can our forwards have the calmness to score in the same position as SL
ETH outsmarted Guardiola too you know, and Guardiola had a better squad in the final, but United players doesnt have the same mentality, they are ok with loosing.
Amorim funbacted Pep last night 😂😂😂😂
The question people find hard to answer, DO we have the personnel?
dont get your hopes up its more because of the quality of the players and their mentality rather than the manager(s "masterclass"
It was obvious the city were in control of the midfield the players of sporting should have been smart enough to see that for them selves and made the adjustment and the managers should have seen that very early and told one of the forwards to drop in to the midfield why wait till the second half. City could have been out of site by half time.
I doubt if this current united players can play impressively like that.
I can't imagine what would have been the narrative if sporting had lost to city with that magine😂😂😂
Hope he does well but I guess ten hag would say two words to Ruben regarding rashford. Good luck
U just can't stop can you.
Believe you me.. the problem is the man utd current players, Rasford had played under 6 manager overall since Mourinho.
If you are Liv-City-Arsenal manager, How many man utd players will pick in your 1st eleven.?
Amorin graduate himself in Jorge Jesus school.
The true boss! JJ is our Johan Cruijff 😂
We want him now man🥲🥲🥲
Thats the problem of the MU fans.
Now MU have a plan. Stay with the plan as Sporting did and you will fight for history.
Jesus Christ only God knows if the current crop of United players are capable of performing and delivering.
Amorim need 4 season to make the team as it is…united fans need to remember that, be patient. Trust the process.
Sporting might have the players buy in but we have the buy in dir
He meant that dink! Learnt it from M Ozil!!
As a United fan, I would get rid of 70% of our squad and bring in those Sporting players. Players who play for the badge and are there for the club.
This is what is lacking at United and has for a very long time.
