I'm an absolute DN fans, and even now I still played the PC version. It was like 5 months ago but still the soul is still lit. Basically because the combat is the most advanced for 2010 technology, perhaps even now. I can guarantee no games has combat like Dragon Nest which is very complex and intriguing. And witnessing this Dragon Sword made by Eyedentity, My eyes literally can see that this is Dragon nest 2 in production. Just looked at the combo, mid air fighting style, character skill and skill effect. It was all Dragon Nest accent. I will definitely wait and play once it launched officially.
Dragon remains to be one of my favorite RPG games. It was a gorgeous game with such a fun hack and slash and combo combat that harkened back to my roots in Devil May Cry. The story was compelling for me, the world was so beautifully crafted that I was just drawn in every time I logged into the game. I quit back in the day because I was a Sword Master main and no one would take me to the nests despite me building my buffs and some of my moonlord skills well enough to deal with mobs. Pretty much got buried by the meta but my memories of the game remain fond. I'm really stoked for Dragon Sword but I have this fear that it'll have gacha mechanics given how gacha games have been wildly popular recently, and I really dislike any randomized monetization system in my games.
This is making me go back to dn and start over from a newbie to a pro where you just wait for a new update and help newbies and raid dungeons for loots from today ill download dn on my pc and start from a newbie again
I love dragon nest. It was the 1st MMO I ever played. Even came back to playing from time to time after a year that I stopped since my classmates who introduced me to it had stopped playing it
u really bring back the nostalgia back to me, they were chanting genshin clone on FB groups but i thought it looks like a mixture of dragon nest + genshin impact + monster hunter, turns out it is from the dragon nest developer, now im excited
Ah i missed the Old days of Dragon Nest, all of my friend all telling me to become Barbarian Class from Warrior, said that it was the Strongest and then i discover Tempest Class from Archer, where you dont need Big Axe to deliver Heavy Damage and using 10% Archer Weapon since 90% of Tempest skill was Punching and Kicking, bassicly a class where Archer was a Black Belt Taekwondo 😂.
Seeing this update makes me legit want to cry purely because of nostalgia. Played this game non stop when I was in junior high, everyday after school. Never have I ever played a game with such an amazing god forbid mechanic for PVP, which can make you feel satisfied with every combo. I've been trying to find a replacement for that MMO vibe through Genshin, but still the PVP is what made DN so special to me. I really hope this system is kept in the new game. But to be very honest I was shocked to see how bad DN's graphic now, it was like something out of this world back in 2011! Dragon Nest Forever!
Man, this brings back memories, The best combat for pvp, where i was used to only play pvp and ignoring all the gear update, just sit on colesium and challenge people
The way that i saw this thumbnail and gasped so hard☹️🥹 Ngl the one aspect that made me attracted to dragon nest in the first place was the class specialization and free skill configuration, it made my character feel special to me, bc i can adjust my own combos even tho the combo isnt meta nor effective, but its MY combo so it feels personal, if this new game doesnt offer those stuff its still a “genshin copy” in a way. Because classes are good and all but class specialization are just superior in all way.
Holy shiet, that dn farm music was so nostalgic... i used to use up all my character slots in my account to farm for life essence while also sniping farming spots to plant apples of life lol. This made my account very rich at the time. I know its not really the main appeal of dragon nest but for me that was a memorable time.
BRO SAME LMAO, i be logging in to check on my life essence and race with people to get a spot in the free farm land to plant my resurrection apple then run to trading center lol
Dragon Nest still has the best combat system, it's still very nice to play even in 2023 Please don't try to be or compete with Genshin, the new DN has to be different.
I'm concerned about grindfests and the storyline. Plenty of times you were locked from doing things for constantly being low level despite questing for hours or each storyline had you going to x for y to do some crumbs of storyline before you're back to dungeon crawling again. Doing this multiple times for chain quests was kinda what stopped me from playing. I'm not in game development, but I hope they reach a better balance of story and fighting for this one, it looks beautiful to me so far.
Damn. I miss DN so much. I played a ton when they opened the NA servers, stopped playing right before Desert Dragon was released. As much as I love this game, it was soooo monetized. You needed cash items on so much things like inventory space, bank space, item protection when upgrading(jellies), unbinding items so you can post it on the market, mounts, damn even sending world/server messages needed that bird cash item. Correct me if I'm wrong, certain items are character bound so you cant just pass em on to your ALT characters. Like, if you have extra bag space item you cant pass or mounts. I hope this game would be a little less like that. Also the whole multi character, alt ridden accounts is such an outdated MMORPG thing. I like what Blue Protocol or Albion is doing with their classes instead of having to create multiple characters, you just have to switch weapons and its a different class. Much more streamlined, fluid and you can enjoy anytime without the need of starting the quest all over again, going through the same story you already did to your 3 different characters.
Can say that dragon nest have great combat combo and action but for this new project not sure either they able to bring that unique along as it will be port with mobile market.
if this comes out in NA im down Dragon Nest was my favorite game for a long time, nothing came close. it played more like a fighting game and i loved that about it. managing I-frames and super armor vs armor breaks, learning combos, it was so in depth.
I've just returned to DN about almost a month now. I'm getting the hang of it after year and a half of not playing since my pc died. It's pretty much cool. Reason why I returned to play DN Sea: To see the improvements of the game while I was out, skill animations of 2nd-3rd awakening, new nests, and the story. It's pretty much an average improvement but I'm more focused on the story progress these days and did some interesting side quests that connected to the labyrinth problem. There wasn't any new place being created these days after Red Lotus Palace, I wanted some new places to be a chill out. The Developers aren't focusing on the story to even try to pace things up to meeting Alteia and Vestinel in face-to-face in the A Dream within a Dream.
Nostalgia hits hard with this one, Dragon Nest was a game with a combat system that was decades ahead of its time, fact is if you upgrade the graphics of Dragon Nest and retain the same combat mechanics and system it would be easily still be the best MMO in the 2020's and now if they turn this into an ARPG, this game would probably be the only game I'd say would probably rival or be even better than WuWa's combat
My concerns about this game is that it seems it will be a character gacha game like genshin and there might not be character customization as rumors say.
Great job on this vid, Dragons Nest is one of my all time favorite games, i loved everything about it. Specially when people took it to private servers and created their own spin. WOW so much fun!.
You know, I wasn’t really paying attention to this video at first, and when he mentioned the “crystallized version of Uraya,” I looked over, and I kid you not, my first though was “I never thought there would ever be a Xenoblade/Pokemon crossover.” I have since rewatched the video and realized I need to start paying attention to things.
I bet this would be looking like Genshin Impact rather than Dragon Nest that we loved so much, since it will be shared platform with mobiles, yea im not gonna surprise if skill buttons come up with 4buttons only just like genshin impact

Dragon nest was one of my favorite mmos as a teen growing up and this is a game I’ll definitely play coming out. The combat was definitely the most fun along with plato looking graphics lol + just dragons.
Have been playing DN since 2012 I think and this game was the only game I loved up until today. No other game has came close to it ever since. It was all thanks to its unique combat style and infinite combo system (if you're that good especially at PvP, I'm a Gladiator main btw). If I was a Game Developer and had the funds, I would buy DN, improve its graphics, DOWNGRADE ALL SKILLS TO 70cap coz that era of DN skills were still good and bearable HAHAHAHA, improve the gameplay but still maintain that solid and crisp combat/combo system, make it an open world + instance game by making a world where you can travel to the different towns and stage areas (with some monsters, mini boss or dg bosses out in the field) without teleporting but still maintaining those instances for special nests or dragon nests accessible to certain areas. Then get the game to progress by slowly expanding the map/terrain with new and breathtaking locations and new and exciting instances which still revolves around DN's storyline. So its like having DN but having a bigger and more open world but still have that experience to raid and play unique mobs/boss mechanics in nests whilst using that impeccable combat system of the original DN still (Toram Online has the gist of this kind of world its just that their instances makes you fight with the boss directly when u enter. TOF also has this its just their instances is not as exciting to me and its more on puzzle solving and make ur way through traps to get to the boss kinda experience for me). And ofc make it F2P friendly (except for costumes, im a developer in this example so PAY UP HAHAHAHAHA i need funds to run the game u know xD) and not progress to that awakening(spamming skills) era. Also, I would never add that fking character switch gacha system which I totally hate, coz for me such gameplay doesn't create a personal identity to the character you are trying to build and it doesn't promote teamwork especially in raids. Imagine raiding a dungeon with every other player having the same gacha character team builds with you ughh. Lastly, no more gender lock for all classes. Just sharing my opinion on how to improve or make a new game based on the game I loved so much for years. :3
Good to know this information, i played Dragon Nest for over a year but soon i dropped cause there was no updates or improvement, knowing this im hyped.
Man this is exciting, been playing Dragon nest since beta, moved to DN EU from SEA for better ping, DN EU ran for years until it unfortunately closed down due to low player base, later found out that private DN servers exist and I’ve been playing Infinity Nest since. I’ll be looking forward to this game

i have played this game so hard back then on dragon nest sea, but i got busy with life.. returned recently but it did not feel the same... theres not much people anymore too which made it felt lonely in st. haven
Damm, I liked this game so much, was so sad when the servers caught fire, even though it was already running on backup servers for years at that point. Rly miss it though. Magic Warrior and Acrobat where my favs...
I feel like I manifested this bc GOD was I missing the Dragon Nest kind of gameplay. I felt like Genshin slightly scratched the itch but I felt the fights in dragon nest to be really engaging and fun. This game has all my support I just hope it actually launches and will hope it does well!
I can't see the better mmorpg than dragon nest, they have a nice character with unique skill and you can do a combo, the pvp is also good for those who want a challenge, and also the PVE mode is the best with a lot of dungeon and bosses
Part of the fun was having two skill bars full of potential actions to take and switching between the two. There's no way the damn near 12 x 2 skill slots are going to transfer to a game that has to be accessible for mobile players. Button overload on a tiny screen doesn't scream action mmo. I love the new classes and skill effects bc i've always wanted a traditional mage knight in DN (LK and the new warrior class don't count in my opinion). I hope this version does well.
It looks neat, but I'll tone down my excitement just because you mentioned Garena and Mobile. While the skills does has DN flare to it, It's hard to imagine a mobile game would come close to the amount of abilities and combo per class in Dragon Nest. When most mobile RPG/MMORPG only has 3 to 4 skills per character as the norm. Wary of Garena because they were extremely Predatory with how they handled Riot IP, that Riot severed ties with them because Garena were massively hindering the games growth in South East Asia with their management.
this game was awesome. DN gameplay focus on both things, coop, and multi-player. multiplayers have settings like it doesn't have to be fought with equipped armor, like a fair fight. they have many good settings for multiplayer to choose from, and farming push players to play together in the dungeon, which is FUN. new MMORPG in the future right now, mostly farming 😐 players are mostly cruel, they don't speak or reply to chat.
monhun and dragon nest is like my first and second love to MMORPG now i get more and more excited to this project, i hope they dont greedy to make a big difference on P2W and F2P player (if it free) and focus on PC gameplay/ feature because i dont really like many mobile game feature on MMORPG
I remember that and experienced and expert sorceress as myself can dodge every boss attack by using the i-frame in their evasion. Ghooodd I miss those days 😂❤😢😅

And witnessing this Dragon Sword made by Eyedentity, My eyes literally can see that this is Dragon nest 2 in production.
Just looked at the combo, mid air fighting style, character skill and skill effect. It was all Dragon Nest accent.
I will definitely wait and play once it launched officially.
isnt this called Dragon Sword??
Even came back to playing from time to time after a year that I stopped since my classmates who introduced me to it had stopped playing it
same yo. Whenever I hear the original calderock village song it fills me with such nostalgia.
same here
Omg I love dragon nest. Can't wait to play this! Hope they have a dancer class
Dragon Nest is the only game i played for 5 years straight. It's a part of me that will never be lost. It's like my first love.
totally agree T_T
Agreed, I felt the same way either...
same 😢❤
Gotta say, this piqued my interest but hearing one word at 3:38 completely broke it for me
The combat from Dragon Nest was outstanding. I hope this maintains that. 👍
I loved the gameplay mechanics though eventually quit as when the devs switched it over to steam it deleted all my stuff.
u really bring back the nostalgia back to me, they were chanting genshin clone on FB groups but i thought it looks like a mixture of dragon nest + genshin impact + monster hunter, turns out it is from the dragon nest developer, now im excited
Bro I love Dragon Nest! I would even sneak out of my boarding school to play it at a near pc cafe for hours.
Man, this brings back memories,
The best combat for pvp, where i was used to only play pvp and ignoring all the gear update, just sit on colesium and challenge people
Been waiting for this to happen! Been a fan of dragon nest since back in 2010. Excited and hope to see more info about this.
The way that i saw this thumbnail and gasped so hard☹️🥹
Ngl the one aspect that made me attracted to dragon nest in the first place was the class specialization and free skill configuration, it made my character feel special to me, bc i can adjust my own combos even tho the combo isnt meta nor effective, but its MY combo so it feels personal, if this new game doesnt offer those stuff its still a “genshin copy” in a way.
BRO SAME LMAO, i be logging in to check on my life essence and race with people to get a spot in the free farm land to plant my resurrection apple then run to trading center lol
dragon nest had great art, music, story (at least until 70 cap) and amazing combat, i really hope this project gets somewhere i really want to play it
good point
I still remember playing Dragon Nest on my toaster with a friend from Korea...good times, and this spiritual successor looks sick
The combat looks very smooth. I definitely keep my eyes on this one
@2:22 Did I hear that right? A scythe wielding priest class??
I'm sold.
Dragon Nest still has the best combat system, it's still very nice to play even in 2023
Please don't try to be or compete with Genshin, the new DN has to be different.
Oh, this game brings a lot of memories from way back then. I used to be a big fan of this and now trying the roller skating world of metarollers.
Flyann hitting me with all my favorite childhood nostalgia! Goddamn, loved Dragon Nest!
god as someone that played Dragon Nest back in 2012 I HOPE this turns out well
I'm concerned about grindfests and the storyline.
It's korean so I think it might be still heavely based on grind.
The nostalgia is coming back to me. Hoping this game gave a thrill the same we get from Dragon Nest ❤
Can say that dragon nest have great combat combo and action but for this new project not sure either they able to bring that unique along as it will be port with mobile market.
I wonder if Project D still has the same lore as Dragon Nest does. The story and lore of Dragon Nest is severely underrated and many sideglanced it.
For reall dn lore is really underrated, many plot twist and dark story
The world buildings is good too
I remember playing it, when I was around 11, now I’m 21. Wow… still one of my favorite games, I hope they will go on developing this game❤
Dragon Nest was insanely good. Let's just hope the monetization won't fuck the new one up as it did with the old one
if this comes out in NA im down Dragon Nest was my favorite game for a long time, nothing came close.
it played more like a fighting game and i loved that about it. managing I-frames and super armor vs armor breaks, learning combos, it was so in depth.
If this is a genshin impact clone (aka switching characters), i'm out. This game being available on the mobile phone is a huge red flag to me.
Let's see if Calderoc music theme will be used again in this new one.
That Howl skill so iconic to dragon nest
*Cast [Battle Howl]
First MMO that i play and made me love it.. was Dragon Nest..
And i believe.. many of gamer also very love dragon nest
Fact
Nostalgia hits hard with this one, Dragon Nest was a game with a combat system that was decades ahead of its time, fact is if you upgrade the graphics of Dragon Nest and retain the same combat mechanics and system it would be easily still be the best MMO in the 2020's and now if they turn this into an ARPG, this game would probably be the only game I'd say would probably rival or be even better than WuWa's combat
I played during my college years. So nostalgic.
I just want a summoner class like the old Gear Master where you can just leave your tower and they stay there for quite a while.
I remember watching the 1st dragon nest movie back in 2015, anybody else remembers too?
My concerns about this game is that it seems it will be a character gacha game like genshin and there might not be character customization as rumors say.
My brother & I absolutely loved Dragons Nest. This is great to see!
If the team behind Hundred Soul is on the project, then we can expect insane combo combat like dmc(-ish)
Great job on this vid, Dragons Nest is one of my all time favorite games, i loved everything about it. Specially when people took it to private servers and created their own spin. WOW so much fun!.
You know, I wasn’t really paying attention to this video at first, and when he mentioned the “crystallized version of Uraya,” I looked over, and I kid you not, my first though was “I never thought there would ever be a Xenoblade/Pokemon crossover.”
I have since rewatched the video and realized I need to start paying attention to things.
Dang, I had totally forgotten about Dragon Nest. I don't remember how far I got into that game, but I do recall enjoying it.
Those days were pretty fun, looking forward for this 🙂
I bet this would be looking like Genshin Impact rather than Dragon Nest that we loved so much, since it will be shared platform with mobiles, yea im not gonna surprise if skill buttons come up with 4buttons only just like genshin impact
holy, I used to play a lot of dragon nest in computer cafes back when I was a kid. This will bring back some memories
stopped playing DN after the SEA server introduced IP restrictions (blocked off people outside of a few SEA countries). can't be bothered to use a VPN for it.
i remember when this game came out is so freaking engaging and damn wind walker combo is so cool
Dragon nest was one of my favorite mmos as a teen growing up and this is a game I’ll definitely play coming out. The combat was definitely the most fun along with plato looking graphics lol + just dragons.
I screamed out loud when I saw the title of this video - please, PLEASEEE
constantly coming back to dragonnest because I just miss how fun it was and still is imo. Excited for this new chapter in its life.
dragon nest will always have a special place in my heart
Good to know this information, i played Dragon Nest for over a year but soon i dropped cause there was no updates or improvement, knowing this im hyped.
I look forward to executing the aerial combos with my Windwalker again
Man this is exciting, been playing Dragon nest since beta, moved to DN EU from SEA for better ping, DN EU ran for years until it unfortunately closed down due to low player base, later found out that private DN servers exist and I’ve been playing Infinity Nest since. I’ll be looking forward to this game
Watching first trailer and recognise some design some character/monster of Dragon nest those memory where I play dragon nest, those memory I cannot forgot can't wait to experience those same memory again
i missed dragon nest man. im so happy with this reveal.
i have played this game so hard back then on dragon nest sea, but i got busy with life.. returned recently but it did not feel the same... theres not much people anymore too which made it felt lonely in st. haven
Damm, I liked this game so much, was so sad when the servers caught fire, even though it was already running on backup servers for years at that point.
Rly miss it though. Magic Warrior and Acrobat where my favs...
Please don't be gatcha, please don't be gatcha, please don't be gatcha, please don't be gatcha, please don't be gatcha
I feel like I manifested this bc GOD was I missing the Dragon Nest kind of gameplay.
I felt like Genshin slightly scratched the itch but I felt the fights in dragon nest to be really engaging and fun. This game has all my support I just hope it actually launches and will hope it does well!
Background music in Calderock Village was OP
I can't see the better mmorpg than dragon nest, they have a nice character with unique skill and you can do a combo, the pvp is also good for those who want a challenge, and also the PVE mode is the best with a lot of dungeon and bosses
I loved hundred soul! My channel still has old vids from its late game.
This has got to be one of the games ever made once it comes out
Part of the fun was having two skill bars full of potential actions to take and switching between the two.
I loved dragon nest. Played it solo for hours thinking it was dead. So glad this is coming.
The 'mounting' combat reminds me so much of Dragons Dogma
I hope I'm still alive when this is released.
im not sure about the open world...i think the aspect of everything instanced in dragons nest was very fun to THAT world and i liked how they stractured it aswell
This plucked my heartstrings. I literally started crying! I'm overwhelmed. I'm happy and can't wait.
I can't wait to sit in a pvp room with toxic players(Warriors) talking about how OP they are and then losing to an Archer or Sorceress. OH Nostalgia!
Whenever I talk to someone about a good action combat system, one of the games I place at the top of the list is Dragons nest. Really hope that this isn't garbage on release and can give at least 2-3 years of fun before becoming a soulless cash grab.
Played DN when it was launched in my country, but it closed up shop years after.. now playing PSO2NGS and it's combat mechanics are comparable to DN but way more faster.. hope this new DN will last longer
damn seeing that holy mother portrait IRL kinda hits different
