12:45 Pyramid Levels Music is my absolute favorite in Superfrog. This whole game is a total masterpiece, one of the best platformers ever made.
Definitely, gameplay was really fun levels and the music totally amazing. Allister Brimble really made some incredible music. He also made the music for Alien Breed, another sublime masterpiece.
Ah, I miss those old 80s / 90s platformers where you could go from a magic forest to Ancient Egypt to a space station for no better reason than "it's cool!"
Also get to the egypt stage or the spooky castle stage just so you could listen to the music! :D
Massively underrated soundtrack; not often you get an album where every song is a winner.

May I take your attention to the upper part of the screen? Do you know why there is such a thick border between the life display and the main game screen? Because these are two different screens!
Yes, this is right: The Amiga was able to display more than one screen at a time. All of them (in theory) have different resolutions and different colour palettes.The magic word was "copper chip".

Superfrog and many games like it really had that 16 bit magic that felt revolutionary at the time. It felt like I was playing in the future before SNES released and even then, Amiga could still do some things better with higher fps.

Does anyone else remember being annoyed thinking you had completed the game after Level 5 but then there was another level. Then you realised it was a good thing because there's more Superfrog to play :)
Oh yeah, all the time lol. I got annoyed a lot of times at the end of the game when you had to choose which way to go and they were both joker ways and you literally had to step on a bit of the path to go down!
Not to mention when you had to use your wings to get to those bonus stuff past the spikes, I dunno how many times I have managed to not pull my hair out on it!
I remember getting trapped in the Egyptian level. :) As for game completions do you recall the ending level to fire and ice(?), man - what a tremendous design. --- I was always against getting a PC, I was Anti-Windows but had no choice in the end to transfer from AmigaDos to this awful Windows (which is pretty cool now I agree - to most degrees)
At first, yes, but when the Project F screen came up, that changed everything. ;-)

used to play this for absolutely hours, 'scavving' everything lol. Remarkable game, another fine amiga benchmark; like Fire and Ice. I do wish some one would create more 2d games like this, they could have millions of levels with todays technology easily exceeding 880k disks HEHEHE. I got 3 amigas in my loft, may have to dust them down lol
Played it loads too! completed it in 1996 eventually after needing wings to complete it, without wings, cannot be done
Love the PS3 HD remake of this game. Specially the fact that you can unlock the older "retro" levels (minus Project F)
what is project F?
FIWEN 96 Project F was a little minigame that was included on the amiga version of Superfrog which was a shootem up type mini game. It was awesome. If you wanna have a look, type in "superfrog project f" and it'll show ya.

FIWEN 96 Yes, in fact when you play through the game itself, it unlocks the retro levels in the game

Brilliant brilliant brilliant game! The only thing that was a bit crap was the snow level that was too hard and frustrating.
Is there anyone over the world who doesn´t love Superforg? I think there isn't.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ethan Van Sciver was partially inspired to create Cyberfrog by it, actually. ;-)
As for the music, the tracks blend in seamlessly here, and I'm sure Allister Brimble wouldn't have it any other way. :-)

What player can i use to get a perfect playback of the mods on a standart windows machine?, some trackers ive treid seperates them to much ore does incorrect pitch change.
