Billet (reverse thug) yokes modification

  • Making spacers to adapt a pair of billet yokes to a special Norton frame. The yokes were designed to have 2 different bearing sizes but this required changing to suit the frame they were fitting. The frame is a Spondon to suit a rotary engine, being fitted with upside down forks.

    Enjoyed that. I have the same issue with parting although I imagine your Colchester is much more rigid than my Maximat. Regards, Dean.

      Thanks for watching and subscribing. I actually have a rear tool post somewhere but it may be for the same lathe as yours and not my student, must dig it out and look. Did think about a rear post on my small lathe at some point. In my latest video I'm using an indexable parting too and asked viewer for thoughts, got some really good advice and ideas. Regards, Ade
