Freemason King James didn't like the Geneva Bible because it heavily criticized "principalities," which is what he is! This is another major reason. Thank you for your content.
I have the 1560 facsimile Geneva Bible as well, and I have a leaf from an original 1560 Geneva Bible. The size difference it rather small, about an 1/8" or so.
the 1599 geneva bible printed by tolle lege has modernized english spellings and is much easier to read. The 1599 geneva bible luther edition (this edition was for the 500th ann of the reformation) by tolle lege is still quite cheap on the internet.
What is the difference between the Tolle Lege Luther edition and the other editions of the 1599 Tolle Lege Geneva bibles? Is it just the commentary that is different -- or what?
@@MadlyinLovewithJesus-1953 the various editions are almost identical. luther edition has a little bit of added material for the 500th anniversary of the reformation.
Thanks for letting me know! I was confused about that since, in my limited understanding, I think that Luther did his own translation of the Bible into German. It had never occurred to me that that would have been at the same time as the Geneva or even WAS the Geneva!@@colonyofcellsiamamachine6175
Pastor, recently my mother gave me The New Oxford Annotated Bible with the Apocrypha. Can you do a video on this Bible, or have you already ? What is the Apocrypha, as that’s why she gave me this particular Bible. I grew up Episcopalian, but I don’t practice it anymore, I am a follower of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, interested in Pentecostal practice. What a change eh ?!? Lol Shalom. 🙏🏼❤️🕊🙌🏼
I saw where in the Tyndall bible mistranslated in the New Testament the names James. It was told it should have been Jacob. Same as the book of James should have been the book of Jacob. It was never changed in any English bible. Do you know if this is so?
King James was a Freemason, and I don't trust him at all. When you read the KJV, of which I also have a copy, you notice very quickly that the changes made to the original (Geneva Bible) are DRAMATIC. I prefer the Geneva Bible. The further we are away from lies and deceit, the closer we are to the Truth.
Don't be misguided by the KJV only occult. God made it possible for us to translate the Bible from more accurate and reliable manuscripts since the KJV.
@@ThatGuy202 Yes, very true, you can learn Gods true word from other Bibles as well. Use your God given discernment and pray on it, you will know…..🙏🏼❤️

Thank you for your post. I just ordered a Geneva Bible.

@@colonyofcellsiamamachine6175Do you know of any Geneva Bibles that have clear English + the Apocrypha ?

@@o0o_OutCast_o0oYes. It should say Jacob. The original name in Hebrew is Ya'aqov.❤
I use my 1599 Geneva Bible as my every day bible. It is better than the KJV.
The KJV is my primary Bible. However, I do read the Geneva from time to time and feel it is inspired. I actually consider myself textus receptus only.

You are not stopping the camera long enough to actually look at the text on the pages...! Very frustrating...!
The side notes are hard to read

Long story short, do you think a Bible printed in China is going to be written exactly the way it was originally written ?
Many times…
Everything nowadays is printed in China. It's too expensive to print elsewhere. Same book regardless where it was printed.
