High quality engine isn’t it! :) a modern powerful engine, only made its debut in RE7 so it’s perfectly set to go this generation. Other engines like Bethesda’s Creation need totally scraping they need a modern powerful engine also it’s no good keep trying to add to and patch when the foundation sucks imo

Have to buy a dumb couch and other appliences (stove wants to burn stuff on low settings two elements wonky). Need a smaller deep freeze. Couch I can feel the wood. Hmmm. Just wonder how much I'm missing out not having a 4K for a PS5 right away. 46 inch 1080p like say 8 feet from my face in my medium sized living room. Only good thing is I may have enough room for the PS5 on the side of the TV furnature. I keep it in thebopen for best air flow. Maybe I'll keep it upright since they include the stand.

Exactly. It gets the max out of PS4. And PS5 runs wonderful People are forgetting that the fidelity is higher on PS5, but the biggest win is that its 4k 60 fps. Which costs way more power to do than run in 1080p at 60fps or even 1080p at 30 fps. in the case of 1080p 40fps the PS5 uses 8x more power to get the graphics running at 4k 60fps. Which is butter smooth in visuals and framerate. Just a much smoother running game

Es sorprendente ver como Capcom negaba la versión Old Gen del titulo y ahora nos sorprende con la versión old gen, con unas gráficas excelentes, y un buen rendimiento teniendo en cuenta las limitaciones técnicas. RE7, RE2 and RE3 remake (and DMC 5) all run pretty well and are very polished games I don't understand the surprise, whenever a new generation rolls in people talk as if the previous one couldn't handle tibia.
Yes, these games ran very well. But I thought the levels of re village would be much bigger and because of that the ps4 or xbox one would struggle a bit more :) also re3 remake still had some performance issues in the demo. So I didn't expect 60fps on ps4, that's all. 😀
In the village section you really aren't gonna see much of a difference. I have a feeling once you get inside the castle you will see more of a difference with the ray tracing on the walls and with the indoor lighting. But yeah the game looks great on all three platforms so that is a huge plus..
RT is only for the Lighting it's supposed to give you realistic lighting in the Ambien indoors outdoors so it's simulating realistic lighting that saw the graphics improved or anything just lighting

@@darkhaven9119 No it really does not. I played the Resident Evil Village ps5 demo which digital foundry themselves said the RT is subtle. I've also played control which is supposed to have impressive RT and guess what it still wasn't. The 60fps performance mode had baked reflections which were close enough to RT whilst giving 60fps. As I said RT is extremely unimpressive.
I like the fact that PS4 Pro version has Full HD mode for more stable frame rate. For me with my 1080p display is perfect! The loading times, however.... That is really reason to upgrade,

Tenía un presupuesto de 400 usd y podia juntar unos 100 mas para la version con disco, peeero, en mi país, Chile, el precio está al doble, unos 800 usd. Creo es debido a la pandemia y a la escasez... Al final, creo que pasará un buen tiempo para que esto se regule, y no podia seguir esperando más para jugar (igual casi siempre iba a jugar con un amigo a la ps4, pero no es lo mismo). The loading time improvement on the PS5 vs the base PS4 is astounding. I just got the game today, and whenever I reload my most recent save on PS5 it's nearly instantaneous

Woah, was expecting PS4 to be a locked 30fps, but it's managing to stay around the 50 mark. and it scales really well up to the pro. Gives me confidence my PC will be able to handle the Game. The RE Engine is sublime.

Not surprised, I was sure the PS4 base can run it, it was just a matter of if Capcom cared or not and obviously considering their relationship with Sony, they won’t ruin it. CP2077 has been proven to be an individual case mess. If I can’t find a PS5 between now and May, I will enjoy it on my PS4
I did notice some clipping and popping of textures when playing it last night on my ps4 pro, but that sometimes still happens with other games like RDR2. Overall, I think it’s going to be a solid game on last gen.

Jdjdjjd amigo el RT, es chafa, solo está usando iluminación con RT( lo cual es solo una parte del RT) , por eso está estable, si tuviera cargando real Ray tracing debería correr las sombras, reflejos, y iluminación con RT , pero así no pasa de 10 fps la consola djdjjdjd
I've played both demos on ps5 (this one and maiden) and it looks like anything I've seen on ps4 pro, maybe you shouldnt judge based on a UA-cam video. Also really impressed with the game audio while using headphones.

The shadows look the same on PS5 as on a base PS4 and I’m struggling hard to see the benefit of having the RT on at all. I see less dark shadows (so less noticeable) outside. No perceivable improvement in textures from PS4 through PS5, either. Aside from that, was a brilliant looking game on my OLED at the higher resolution and fps.
We have to imagine that 45fps is the main target for the RT Mode and it runs at 55-60 most of the time, one time it drops to 47fps in the fight scene for 2 seconds but then gets up to 57fps so the game always hits his target of 45fps according to Capcom, pretty amazing
The ray tracing is barely even turned on. Ray tracing turned on doesn't look significantly different on the PS5 with it turned off with this game. Try playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PC if you want to see what raytracing can really do.
I’m getting both version, Ps4 pro and ps5.. the PS4 base still holds up to this day amazing job they did. After seeing this I bet you the next resident evil game can easily be on ps4.

The p5 graphics look similar on video but in person it will look way better. I watched this channel spider man comparison and it looked kinda the same as last gen but in person it’s way ahead; all my p5 owners know what’s up.
Base ps4 is running better than I thought it was while I was playing, but I've always noticed fps drops more in first person than in third person games.

Are you sure it doesn't have DRS? At 10:55 the PS4 pro resolution at the top is 1800p-2160p. Also in the pinned comment it says the average resolution on PS5 is higher than PS4 Pro. It must be using DRS.

Great video! It's weird that Capcom advertised 45fps with RT on, but the lowest it goes is 55. I hardly noticed any difference in framerate in my playthroughs with RT on and off, so I'm glad to see that I'm not crazy haha.

No temas. Este juego es de One y PS4 con mejoras para PS5 y Series X. Es de la pasada gen no es next gen. Así que está hecho para que rinda perfecto en la pasada gen.

PS4 base está de parabéns, meu fat agradece, 900p e praticamente 55fps dificilmente baixando de 50 e as vezes chegando a 60, tá perfeito, ótima otimização, sei que ainda n é o produto final, mas Capcom está de parabéns.
Tuve la oportunidad de jugar la demo para PS5, y caí en la maldita preventa. Los meros gráficos, lo que alcancé a jugar de la historia, paisajes, los sistemas de crafteo y el uso de los gatillos adaptativos, me lo han vendido por completo. Sin ningún problema estamos ante el candidato más fuerte para juego del año. Edit: el juego es aceptable, pero no es ni cerca mejor siquiera que su predecesor. Como fanático de los Resident Evil, incluso me decepcionó la falta de terror y que se centraran tanto en la acción y fantasía; la facilidad de los puzzles y enemigos aún en la dificultad más difícil, contribuyen a que el juego se sienta flojo, y todo se cae cuando te demoras unas 8 horas para ver los créditos... Creo que me duró más "Journey".
The difference between ps5 and ps4 pro is a bit subtle, but I can see a higher clarity on ps5. Ps4 on the other hand is a pretty big difference from the other consoles
A few things that are clear next gen loading is great. Ray tracing mode seems to look the most interesting imo. And that capcom themselves clearly don't know what a framerate is. Because they said the base PS4 be 45fps yet its hitting 60 and is all over the place. So 😂😂😂
Thanks for the comparison. Aside from loading times, there is no difference in overall quality. One thing that bothers me is the strange brightness of all Capcom recent games. And no, it´s not my "shitty monitor" :)
There are some small differences on lightning, ambient occlusion and shadows - there might be bigger differences regarding these in different areas of the game. Probably there will be ray traced reflections, too, but we don't see them in this demo.

Because with Ray tracing it's putting more strain on the GPU, the checkerboard rendering is closer to 2k than it is to 4k so the image will be softer.

RE7, RE2 and RE3 remake (and DMC 5) all run pretty well and are very polished games I don't understand the surprise, whenever a new generation rolls in people talk as if the previous one couldn't handle tibia.
Yes, these games ran very well. But I thought the levels of re village would be much bigger and because of that the ps4 or xbox one would struggle a bit more :) also re3 remake still had some performance issues in the demo. So I didn't expect 60fps on ps4, that's all. 😀

In the village section you really aren't gonna see much of a difference. I have a feeling once you get inside the castle you will see more of a difference with the ray tracing on the walls and with the indoor lighting. But yeah the game looks great on all three platforms so that is a huge plus..
RT is only for the Lighting it's supposed to give you realistic lighting in the Ambien indoors outdoors so it's simulating realistic lighting that saw the graphics improved or anything just lighting

@@darkhaven9119 No it really does not. I played the Resident Evil Village ps5 demo which digital foundry themselves said the RT is subtle. I've also played control which is supposed to have impressive RT and guess what it still wasn't. The 60fps performance mode had baked reflections which were close enough to RT whilst giving 60fps. As I said RT is extremely unimpressive.

I like the fact that PS4 Pro version has Full HD mode for more stable frame rate. For me with my 1080p display is perfect!

Woah, was expecting PS4 to be a locked 30fps, but it's managing to stay around the 50 mark. and it scales really well up to the pro. Gives me confidence my PC will be able to handle the Game. The RE Engine is sublime.

I did notice some clipping and popping of textures when playing it last night on my ps4 pro, but that sometimes still happens with other games like RDR2. Overall, I think it’s going to be a solid game on last gen.

Jdjdjjd amigo el RT, es chafa, solo está usando iluminación con RT( lo cual es solo una parte del RT) , por eso está estable, si tuviera cargando real Ray tracing debería correr las sombras, reflejos, y iluminación con RT , pero así no pasa de 10 fps la consola djdjjdjd

Performances and resolution are the only next-gen features...the rest looks almost the same. In other words this is clearly a cross-gen game.
I've played both demos on ps5 (this one and maiden) and it looks like anything I've seen on ps4 pro, maybe you shouldnt judge based on a UA-cam video. Also really impressed with the game audio while using headphones.

The shadows look the same on PS5 as on a base PS4 and I’m struggling hard to see the benefit of having the RT on at all. I see less dark shadows (so less noticeable) outside. No perceivable improvement in textures from PS4 through PS5, either. Aside from that, was a brilliant looking game on my OLED at the higher resolution and fps.

We have to imagine that 45fps is the main target for the RT Mode and it runs at 55-60 most of the time, one time it drops to 47fps in the fight scene for 2 seconds but then gets up to 57fps so the game always hits his target of 45fps according to Capcom, pretty amazing

The ray tracing is barely even turned on. Ray tracing turned on doesn't look significantly different on the PS5 with it turned off with this game. Try playing Cyberpunk 2077 on PC if you want to see what raytracing can really do.

Are you sure it doesn't have DRS? At 10:55 the PS4 pro resolution at the top is 1800p-2160p. Also in the pinned comment it says the average resolution on PS5 is higher than PS4 Pro. It must be using DRS.

Great video! It's weird that Capcom advertised 45fps with RT on, but the lowest it goes is 55. I hardly noticed any difference in framerate in my playthroughs with RT on and off, so I'm glad to see that I'm not crazy haha.

No temas. Este juego es de One y PS4 con mejoras para PS5 y Series X. Es de la pasada gen no es next gen. Así que está hecho para que rinda perfecto en la pasada gen.

Tuve la oportunidad de jugar la demo para PS5, y caí en la maldita preventa. Los meros gráficos, lo que alcancé a jugar de la historia, paisajes, los sistemas de crafteo y el uso de los gatillos adaptativos, me lo han vendido por completo.
Sin ningún problema estamos ante el candidato más fuerte para juego del año.
Edit: el juego es aceptable, pero no es ni cerca mejor siquiera que su predecesor. Como fanático de los Resident Evil, incluso me decepcionó la falta de terror y que se centraran tanto en la acción y fantasía; la facilidad de los puzzles y enemigos aún en la dificultad más difícil, contribuyen a que el juego se sienta flojo, y todo se cae cuando te demoras unas 8 horas para ver los créditos... Creo que me duró más "Journey".
The difference between ps5 and ps4 pro is a bit subtle, but I can see a higher clarity on ps5. Ps4 on the other hand is a pretty big difference from the other consoles
A few things that are clear next gen loading is great. Ray tracing mode seems to look the most interesting imo. And that capcom themselves clearly don't know what a framerate is. Because they said the base PS4 be 45fps yet its hitting 60 and is all over the place. So 😂😂😂

Thanks for the comparison. Aside from loading times, there is no difference in overall quality. One thing that bothers me is the strange brightness of all Capcom recent games. And no, it´s not my "shitty monitor" :)

In this game, doesn't make sense using RT mode..
There are some small differences on lightning, ambient occlusion and shadows - there might be bigger differences regarding these in different areas of the game. Probably there will be ray traced reflections, too, but we don't see them in this demo.
