    I agree with some of the previous comments about the tools and pentalobe screwdriver, but by far this is the best video I've found to help me replace one of the speakers. This is going into my "how-to" video playlist. Thank you for sharing!

    Thanks a lot dude! Its always good to have an amazing tutorial around! To the begginers complaining about the lack of information, I don't recommend to do it by yourself because you can have many difficulties trying to reassemble it.

    a put back together version would also be great. I managed it, but rather stupidly hadn't realised that all those T5 screws I removed were different to each other, so alternatively, if you could give some guidelines as to which types there are, long short medium, colour, width of head and which ones go where.
    Apart from that, this is fantastic - thanks very much

    Hello Powerbook Medic, Do you know what causes the battery percentage jumping at 820-3332-A logic board? The battery is brand new. Thank you!

    • @PowerbookMedic
      @PowerbookMedic  5 років тому

      qwert andrew Is it an OEM Apple battery or is it a third party brand battery?

    • @qwertandrew8720
      @qwertandrew8720 5 років тому

      Powerbook Medic No, it is not an OEM one this is a HWG A1417 battery from Amazon. It had been replaced because the old one was turned off around 30-40 percent. With the new was doing it the same thing and I made SMC reset Vram reset, nothing and then reinstalled the whole system and now it's not turned off around 30-40% the percentage has been jumping, also it is not that last longer than the OEM was before. The HWG battery is a 95W one BTW.
      What does it cause this issue?
      This logic board is crap 🤮 I'm very disappointed!

    • @PowerbookMedic
      @PowerbookMedic  5 років тому

      qwert andrew It still sounds like a battery issue, not a logic board issue to me. I would try replacing it with an apple brand battery. I have encountered so many issues with third party batteries.

      They are called Torx drivers. A T6 is used for the small screws on the back.

    actually as a further comment, if you know that you have to take care using the right screws putting it back together, it's fairly obvious. Just I got to the point where I'd covered up some of the screws I used before I realized that I needed to take care with it.

      The trackpad is located underneath the battery and as such requires removal of the battery from the top case. The removal of the battery can be a very difficult procedure for a novice and can lead to battery puncture and fire. That repair should only be done by an experienced technician due to the potential hazards.

Taking the bottom case off and inspecting for liquid is always a good idea to verify there is no liquid on the logic board before turning it back on.
