2:32 Ren is a genius here, he knows if your watching/listening your 80-90%already a fan, so you learn the hook in Part1 and because the algorithm would recommend Part2 it’s fresh in your head, then he puts the lyrics on screen, so while it’s a new song you can sing the hook like karaoke 🎤 his genius level is crazy
Drum roll for #3!! You're gonna love that one. You started out on Kujo Beatdown. In that song, there is a line "there's a moral, little Jimmy, of the cookie in the jar". That line is referencing MG part 3. I'm hoping you guys go back to Kujo Beatdown and react a second time after watching MG #3. You now have pretty much everything you need to catch most of what he did in that song, and you understand more of who he is and why he hates greed, etc.
Money Game 1, Ren is a power player in the MOney Game. In the end, he could not burn down the innocent, therefore he burned himself for his crimes and guilt. Money Game 2 is a method to teach children about the money game via a simple nursery rhyme. Money Game 3 is all the same but in the guise of one man's life. The 3rd is truly a masterpiece; you will love it.
I love the "rarer than a diamond line" because of the irony. Diamonds aren't rare. But one company controls the diamond supply and between them and the marketing they have stockpiled them and created a sense of scarcity.
I believe setting himself on fire (or preparing to) is an ode to those who would use self-immolation in the form of protest. There’s a famous example of this from back in the 60s where a Buddhist monk set himself on fire sitting cross-legged and calmly which is an image you may have come across.
Sorry, no. Reference the "Number 10" line in MG2. He's talking about a failing Capitalist System and Revolution. Establishment protected (Poncho) People, Playing along (Literally) Government corrupt. But when the people "See", the protection is removed and *The Establishment* "burns" in Revolution. Watch Animal Flow.... Same subject (Look at the walls)
@rogerstarkey5390 Ren was dressed to torture...gloves, boots . Poncho baseball bat. The jooded victim is initially blind . He uses the sounds of the bat , his voice, body and gloves to threaten harm. Then removes himself from the MG.
No-one is immune to the madness, but the US is up there with Russia and China for being completely effed up 😬 (and I’m talking government/1%ers, not normal people)
Ren just performed this at an awards ceremony…..stripped back and slowed down…..eerie and the perfect way to get the points across in this masterpiece. Cannot wait until you check out MG3 🔥🔥🔥
Watching from Michigan, U.S.A., and it is a freak show, but we love REN here and now you two guys as well! Enjoy the show a bunch, you take me away from the s** show here!
I don't see many Renegades ever give this explanation for the end of MG1, but I'm an old head, and though I've never heard Ren specifically give this meaning, I'd bet a month of pay checks this is at least part of the symbolism, so bear with me....... First u need to know that RATM (Rage Against The Machine) was a pretty big influence in Ren's early days, as was a lot of 90's rock/hip-hop, he even shouts them out in a couple other tracks (if you're not familiar with them, you should REALLY check them out, they are OGs of rock/rap, or the genre Nu Metal) Second, google "RATM debut album cover" then click images (TRIGGER WARNING: the photo you will see is 100% a real photo, if gruesome images of real people bother you DO NOT google this). What you're seeing is the photo of a South Vietnamese Buddhist monk named Thich Quang Duc. Without getting too deep into it, in 1963 a S. Vietnam puppet regime/president , backed by who else, the U.S., outlawed all religion other than Catholicism, on Buddha's birthday the monks openly celebrated anyway, troops showed up, ish went sideways, and troops open fired killing 6 monks and 3 civilians. 2 days later, the monks returned to the same town, along with media and 100 Catholic nuns that supported them, none of them knowing that Quang Duc was going to get into the deepest meditation taught to Buddhist monks, have another monk douse him with petrol and then Quang Duc lit himself on fire in an act called self immolation. It is said that he was in such a deep meditation that he didn't move a muscle or make a single sound until he took his last breath and slumped over from part of his torso turning to ash. The photo unofficially became the first ever viral picture, making it's way to President Kennedy's desk in under 24hrs and in newspapers worldwide in less than 48hrs, remember this was 1963. The image of the "burning monk" became an international sign of peaceful resistance after that, similar to the raised fist, symbolizing standing against oppression, and it's why RATM chose the image as their album cover, and I believe that was why Ren ended the MG1 video the way he did, as another shout out to RATM, and also a nod and respect to Thich Quang Duc, who sacrificed his life to bring attention to his people being oppressed. IDK, what do you guys think, like I said, it's only a hunch, but a pretty well educated hunch..lol. Great reaction!!!! ✌💚
@@sunshynff very interesting. Thanks for your time to give us this and for what it’s worth, I think you’re right. Ren said in an interview that he went through a stage where he wanted to burn everything (societal structures, processes) down but has since tempered his reactions to capitalism. He also mentioned the recent New York ‘self immolation’ protester in the same interview.
Why did he set himself on fire? In Part 1, he’s acting as judge, jury, and executioner. He acts as an outsider who sees how shitty the money game is, and will do anything to destroy it. But the line “point the mirror at ourselves, we’re all part of this old money game” is key. He recognizes that even though he thinks himself as an outsider, he’s a part of the money game too, and just as deserving of punishment. So he burns himself as both punishment and protest
I don't think so. In MG1 He's "The Man", Protected. In the end when the "Public" *sees* the Establishment for what it is, the protection is removed (Poncho) and the establishment "Burns down" Ref MG2.... "Oh what a shame it would be ......"? .
The end of part one was a reference to a buddist monk, Thich Quang Duc, who set himself on fire to protest the brutal mistreatment of Buddhists under the South Vietnamese government in 1963. It’s rather historic.
I think it's as simple as he was gonna set the chair guy on fire, because he was part of the money game, happily playing their tune, even after having his eyes opened, but then Ren came to the realization that he was too. If he was gonna burn the chair guy for it, he should also point that mirror at himself.
Ren gave us a little history lesson in part one and here’s the economics class. It takes a very clever and flexible mind to break down a complex topic in a way that everyone can understand it. To then do it using a well known nursery rhyme? And in the form of rap? Ren is a genius.

Honestly, I think the way that you guys did it where you got to watch them all 3 but separated the videos is kind of the best way. At least for growing your channel❤❤❤
After Money game 1,2 & 3, Ren put out a short video doing a contest for people to find a hidden brief case full of money. He live streamed the guys finding it, then there was a twist at the end, well worth a watch (and maybe an edited reaction video as it is 40 something minutes long) but the ending is amazing. Money game part 4, but I think it has only been seen by about 60k people. Could be a good reaction video as I think almost all reactors missed it.

OMG noooo, i didnt need to be reminded of Sunset beach and the shame of watching it!!! it was SO bad, but so bad it was good.. (.. a bit like the jerry springer show was good to make you feel better about your own life) lol this trilogy is just such truth and i wish it was played EVERYWHERE... We have been polarised as a society now that we dont trust each other and are encouraged to distrust and compete with others even if it hurts us and the people around us. It also makes us too scared to stand up against it because we are scared of the consequences.. I love Ren for being so open and honest, also knowing that his views will probably mean he wont get commercial success and support... but hes already created a great community of people that resonate with this message and DO go out of their way to support each other and THAT is a true legacy for any artist! Cant wait to se you lose your minds with Part 3!!!
Part 3 is outstanding. Walking, chairs, theatre, and bars. I'll be back! Like the tie of the trilogy? Might I suggest Love Music Part 1-4? If you've not done those yet.
Sunset Beach was Insane! Impregnating someone with a turkey baster has to be one of the weirdest story lines on a soap opera! 🤣 Looking forward to the MG3 reaction!
Back for school. I live for Ren singing in this one. So fricking good!!! Omg im laughing so hard. "Ren is going to walk, he will come up with a banging hook, and there will be a chair involved!" Hahaha You will be humming this hook all the time. Its FIRE!
Rewatching and commenting for the algo, but ya boys killed it again on this one. I love the outside-looking-in commentary about our side of the pond; we're in a geographical and informational bubble over here. 🔥
This one was done in lockdown, hence not live, like MG1 & 3 but a lyric video. He performed MG2 at SkyArts Awards a few weeks ago and at the SGP concert in July, I think a lot of people (including me) covered our interpretation of the sack over head visual on your MG1 reaction. MG3 brings the greed v money concept to a conclusion, albeit with a different perspective. It is truly mind blowing!
You answered your own question about MG part 1 quoting "eyes that should be open." The end of MG part 1 was eyes being cut out of the bag so the guy just strumming his guitar, not really fighting back or protesting (this is just how things are done, right?), finally sees what is going on and puts up just a bit of resistance. Can enough people seeing things for what they are, with just a bit of resistance and agreement to do things in a different way, shift the paradigm?
Not sure if anybody has said this but the actual freckled angels song is so so good, 100% heartbreaking but makes you wish you had a friend that cares as much as ren…
The madness here is deep I feel like I am in a simulation living here but it is what it is. Ty for the Renaction hope he gets well soon have not heard any updates on his health not as connected as the Renegades on how he is doing only what is on his community page which has not been updated to my knowledge although a few might consider me a Renegade since finding him I rarely miss a day without a Ren song I just feel like I do not deserve that mantle yet please do Fred Again Mashup it's my favorite Ren song atm.
Ren's team announced when his health tumbled that they were posting on his social media accounts for him while he recovered. They have been doing that, and have replied to inquiries about him by saying he is "ok" and resting. They're posting daily on Ren's IG page, with personal stories of their relationship to Ren and his art.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned but the Shell Oil Company began as a small retail operation that sold amongst other things, sea shells. Brilliant reaction and looking forward to MG3.
This one is so good! There is actually a live performance of this by Ren, for the Sky Arts awards if you feel like checking that out. I cannot wait for you to get to part 3 tomorrow. It's incredible!!
I can’t wait for your guys to see Money Game 3. You guys are my new favorite reactors. Love your banter! I have also been listening to the podcast. Big ups from America!!
Just wait until you see Money Game part 3. It's a f*cking masterpiece! Ren and his team rented a warehouse and only had two days to make the video, and essentially one take to complete it start to finish, due to the props and time-frame. Without giving up too much, just watch it and you'll see that it's one of the most influential masterpieces Ren has done to date. Afterwards, watch the video on the making of Money Game Part 3. It's a long video, but the skill and creativity of everyone involved will blow your mind. Hint... Ren's piano skills in the beginning will knock your socks off - especially knowing that he's self-taught. I've said it before and I'll say it again... Ren is a true prodigy! ❤
When it comes to Money Game 1, and why he sets himself on fire, as I see it, it has to do with the hook: The anonymous guitarist has a bag over his head, specifically a money bag, to symbolise someone who's blinded by money. After a few verses, he forcibly draws eyes on him, like he's trying to open his eyes to his greed. Then at the end, he's just about to pour the gasoline over the anonymous symbol, or rather, the target of blame, he changes his mind and pours it on himself instead, because he's just as much to blame, as he says in the hook.
Really enjoying your reactions. You're fast becoming my favourite reactors :) Really looking forward to what you make of 'Money Game Part III'. I absolutely love Murderer and then the acoustic version is fantastic. I think you'd enjoy The Big Push cover of Manu Chao's 'Bongo Bong' as well.

this trilogy is just such truth and i wish it was played EVERYWHERE...
6:33 - Bars!
"Ren is going to walk, he will come up with a banging hook, and there will be a chair involved!" Hahaha
You will be humming this hook all the time. Its FIRE!
I find myself singing this hook allll the time 😆 Bring on Part 3! 🎉
Been watching Ren since the start and from Hi Ren you knew he was going to be special. Love your reactions, well done
Yooooo that freestyle was FAYAAA
Keep the Ren reactions coming brothers.
You guys are killing it!
My favorite Ren song just for
listening. It has it all. They should play it in a loop at the white house.
He does a version of this song just walking down the beach a cappella is a definite must money game to a cappella on the beach
Gotta see how he performed it live on tv !!
Rewatching and commenting for the algo, but ya boys killed it again on this one. I love the outside-looking-in commentary about our side of the pond; we're in a geographical and informational bubble over here. 🔥
The one on the beach is experimental, but interesting. Just him, a camera, and the sounds of the waves and birds
The "C19 performance"
That's the most isolated place in Brighton.
I couldn't have clicked this quicker.. so glad you enjoyed this one. Cannot hardly wait for part 3! It is so good!
No… if a chair is involved.. it’s serious.
Hell yeah!!
Money game 3 is just 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction. Every single Ren reaction has been spot on.
Impatiently waiting for Money Game 3. Awesome reactions!!!
Brookside 😂😂😂
You guys have quickly become one of my favorite reaction channels. So glad you didn’t give up on Ren after Kujo Beatdown. ❤️
Shell oil started as a company selling sea shells hence the company logo being a shell
Not sure if anybody has said this but the actual freckled angels song is so so good, 100% heartbreaking but makes you wish you had a friend that cares as much as ren…
"The pursuit of our own wealth lights a flame" (part-1)
We are all self immolating.
I'm looking forward to watching p3. It's pure art, a master piece . Thanks for a great reaction as always ❤
Awesome reaction! Now part 3!
@@LoutTsu thanks for the info hope he gets well soon
You both have easily become my favourite reactors, I’ve been waiting for this trilogy from you both 🙌🏽 you’re both going to love part 3! I cannot wait
You too are so good love ya!! Money Game 2 is Fire!! Can't wait for you to play Money Game 3 WOW!! Ren is the best!!
Brilliant song Brilliant reaction.
This was GREAT.
I can not wait for you to see part 3.
Looking forward to if you guys notice how the hook appears in pt 3, it's genius.
Thank you guys
I hope I speak for all Renegades that have had the chance to come across your channel - Appreciate you both
🙏
I am DYING for you guys to see Money Game 3!!!!! I cannot wait!
Spitting some bars there.
Yes on the part 2 that quick. This is why we loving you guys
Can't wait for part 3! The hook carries on but will you hear it? ⛈️
Fire freestyle at the end there bro. Loving seeing you get who Ren is. He's a good one. One love from Glasgow. 💙
Can't wait for part 3 reaction, absolute masterpiece 🔥
When it comes to Money Game 1, and why he sets himself on fire, as I see it, it has to do with the hook:
The anonymous guitarist has a bag over his head, specifically a money bag, to symbolise someone who's blinded by money.
Great reaction again guys. Can't wait for you to see Part 3, its the best of the bunch and a real masterpiece!
This is my personal favorite of the Money Game trilogy!!! Thank you for not making us wait too long!! 😃now prepare yourselves for part 3!!!! 🎶❤️✌🏻
Part 3 is going to blow you away! ✨🥰✨
LOVE MUSIC TRILOGY!!!!!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
