    I'm so glad that you are showing what a 22 can do I've been telling my friends I was making shots up to 500 yards and they just would not believe me the platform I'm using is a Ruger 2277 with a 24-inch Barrel

    Unless you get them in the eye ! Aguilla Interceptor seems to run consistantly over 1500fps , average out of a box of 50 = 1565fps and I'm shooting a 10/22 with a Kidd 20 inch full taper barrel with a Kidd 2 stage trigger with a Vortex Crossfire ll 6-24 × 50mm scope . Yes I know that is way too much scope but you should see the looks I get when I take it out of the case . It's always the same , they get about 10 feet away and realize it's just a 22 ! Always enjoy your videos , your place is incredible ! Things are fuc#@$! crazy here in the U.S. especially here in California , they are really trying to get our guns and come July 2019 if you don't have registered firearm you will not be able to buy ammo and if you do you will then have to pass a background check every time you purchase ! You will not be able to buy ammo out of state and bring it back into California( felony charge ) and if you go hunting out of state you cannot bring back your unused ammo ( also a felony ) I'll stop for now , because it just gets worse from there !

    Long range 22 shooting is soo much fun. I can’t believe more people don’t do it.. there is actually a lot of crossover between 22 and 308 at various distances where wind, drop etc are pretty similar.. like 300yds w 22 correlated to 1000 with 308.. best to use low velocity though so you don’t have the bullet pushed around when coming back under the speed of sound since 22s are so light. At 200 I’m usually running out of elevation on most 22 setups though can’t imagine the how many mills you had to have in your mount to push out to 700 lol

    I loved the original, thanks for a follow-up!
    Be good to see a comparison at that range, perhaps velocitor vs mini mag vs stinger

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  5 років тому +5

      Thanks Jay, Velocitor gets there with quiet a bit less moa than the Mini mag and Stinger doesn't go past about 400 yards if that when we tested, Cheers

      @gristlepounder 5 років тому

      @@markandsamafterwork Ditto. Stingers did not work well past 300 for me. They are not heavy enough. Had way better luck with the 40g variants.

    This target/caliber match up would be a prime candidate for the flashing target hit indicators.

    Hi Mark & Sam. We enjoyed the whole .22LR-series very much. My son just got his sportshooting license and wants to start the .22LR long range shooting. He wants to buy the Tikka T1x UPR with the 2020 "UltraPrecissionRifle" stock. We still have one question. This rifle is available with a 16" and a 20" barrel both with the same twist. Does barrel length influense precission? What would be the better option for a shooting distance up to 150 meter? Greetings from Belgium.

    • @markandsamafterwork

      Although little difference, I would use the 20", Cheers

    Good afternoon guys love your videos. Has been great learning from you. I'm a pretty novice shooter, and I love watching your mini ELR series, I've noticed that you don't have differing results in range or accuracy with varying length barrels. Do you find it has an effect. As I'm looking at building my own mini Elr. 22 and wondering what barrel length is best. Again thank you for doing what you

    • @markandsamafterwork
      @markandsamafterwork  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks Ty, and I don't find much difference with the barrel length on the 22lr, but around 16" would be the minimum and around 22 would be a long as I would go, Cheers

      Well it's probably safe to say that at the range in the video, those 40gr bullets would go through the board from the .22mag, with obvious improvement in drop figures.

    What's the equivalent of that range with a .308 given 145 MOA? (plus hold off) If you know what I mean.
